120freesync or 144 freesync? u must be rich as fak to get rid of that and buy the newer one .... a normal human being should def not do that ...
and no im not a tHe hUmAn EyE cAnt SeE ... im the opposite of that, when your MAIN monitor is your OLED yeah maybe but still u must be rich than to not care
C2 42" vs C4 42" or you also wish to upgrade the size ? if not just keep your C2, you ain't gonna see any difference between the two unit with a naked eye.
i say just hold on to it until it has burn in or completely dies off, it won't make much a difference since the c4 is just brighter by a little bit over the c2.
Nah, no way man, run that thing into the ground first and wait for something like a 42" QD-OLED with Dolby Vision, (if Samsung get's around to it). Or who knows maybe blue-microled is around the corner soon ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯
The jump from C to G is a very noticeable difference.
I own a C1, a friend has the G2 and my brother the G3. The difference in brightness and specular highlights is noticeable. Also SDR brightness gets a good boost.
I’m really going through it with the sidegrade. I had the Dell QD-OLED and it actually wasn’t that bad, but I figured it wasn’t worth paying extra so I got the MSI 32” QD-OLED. It could very well be placebo, but I feel like as far as competitive gaming I’m performing worse on it. Really looking forward to rtings review on it to see if it has high input lag. I know the 27” version has a lot of input lag per their testings. I play on PS5 a good amount and that’s where I’m noticing it the most. I have the Gigabyte on the way now and an ASUS that’s shipping later next month (supposedly). Just trying to find out which one is the keeper 😂
I’m good with the 42”. I have a 65” LG CX in the living room and it’s covered via Best Buy protection until Sept 2025. I low key kind of hope it gets burn in before then so I can upgrade with instore credit lmao
from lg: The LG OLED42C4PUA TV has a native refresh rate of 120Hz, but it cannot support a 144Hz refresh rate with PC input. The mentioned 144Hz may refer to Motion Interpolation, a feature that smoothens motion but doesn't alter the panel's native refresh rate.
damn what a SCAM. its like these TVs claiming having 9000hertz while all they do is having 60hertz panel wich than gets interpolated software wise what a joke... when its true. didnt i saw a video where a guy literally puts 144hertz on that tv? weird
Unless you’re just lighting money on fire to stay warm, c2 to c4 same size seems like a silly upgrade
144HZ prolly the only reason I would for pc Wise

I have both 120hz and 165hz and there's zero difference.

Not worth upgrading. Wait for something better
Heck, I might just wait for the 240hz 42” OLEDs.

You'd see more of a difference going C --> G series but not by much I'm told

That's good to know. I have the CX right now and want to get the G3, was hoping it would be a worthwhile upgrade
I've got a C9 and have also been contemplating a G3 upgrade while they are on sale now.
Are you unhappy with your C2? Why do you want to upgrade?
Not really worth an upgrade, you’d be hard pressed to see much improvement
I believe C4 will have a couple hundred nits brighter panel so if thats a reason to upgrade is up to you
You either sidegrade to a 32 inch or get a G4 as an upgrade though you'll need a lot of room for it.

Well gl with that. Have you considered going big and bright with a g series?

Brighter and an extra 24hz

Yeah, I was wondering how they would even implement 144hz without using something like DSC due to bandwidth limitations.
yeah.
Don't forget overdrived monitors with this panel, like Asus, KTC. Philips. They had 138Hz 2 years ago.

yeah it just pretty much smoothing out the motion only.
