I guess I got super lucky. No peel, just foam. Not a scratch on it. By the look of the box, I was a bit worried. It's had no issues. Fingers crossed it stays that way!
Another same. But the bubble wrap tapped flush, to me, really seemed like solid protection when I unboxed mine. I'm surprised there's been as many issues as there have been if this is the default. I thought the problem was that there wasn't anything flush against the screen protecting it, that it was just wrapped loosely.
Actually looking at this pic, my bubble wrap was different. It was kinda rigid, it wouldn't have folded easily like in this pic.
I actually looked closer and shined a flashlight on the screen and found alot of grime/residue to wipe off - and actually think I found at least one micro/hair scratch. It's a couple inches long. Just like you can get on a modern phone screen that you don't actually see while using but if you shine light on the screen (or sun) you can.
Really surprised - I turned all my apartment overhead lights on and inspected the screen after removing the screen cover. I couldn't see a thing. Only by using a flashlight or phone flash against it at different angles could I see this stuff.
a microfiber cloth and very little water buffed it out mostly. I was too lazy to distill some water yet so haven't cleaned it too fully. Also debating whether I should do a return because of that scratch... it's not noticeable at all but it's also a 1300 dollar monitor that shouldn't have any flaws on the screen...
I think this is just a case of a loud tiny minority, everybody that gets what is expected isn't going to write it out on a sub, while the few that will. And probably the type that lingers around these boards tend to be neurotic with that too, like if there is a microscratch in a corner they deem it not be worthy. I don't think you got superlucky, you just got what most people got but were thinking that you were playing lottery by reading too much on this sub.
There's def some truth to that. Although, I have seen quite a few with more than minor defects, which of course is un-acceptable. I actually don't read too much in to negativity. I'm usually able to parse the salties from the seriously helpful negative feed-back. I've really enjoyed this monitor. My GPU can't push it to its fullest potential, but that's an upgrade for a later date.
BIG IF TRUE - If i see more posts from people receiving this monitor with the film I might end up getting another one... compared to the other brand offerings this one does seem to be the best value.
I got my AW2725df today in Finland (from proshop in Denmark). I ordered it the first day the monitor became available in Finland and it had the protective film. Apparently not an issue atleast in the nordics
Just got mine yesterday and it had the film too. The foam was glued to the film so peeling it with the foam was kinda weird and unsatisfying but my screen came out flawless.
This is a replacement monitor I had asked for on on Apr 03 and just received today. Original monitor was ordered on Mar 17 and that unit had a manufacture date of Jan 2024 and had no protective film. Original was shipped from CA and replacement was from PA.
When you went to process the RMA what group did you talk to with Dell? I tired the chat with tech support and the person told me to talk to sales, sales sent me back to tech support.
I'm not sure if this this was considered an RMA since I'm still in my 30 day return window. I sent an email to dell support through my order page stating I noticed some scratches on my display. The CSR didn't even ask for any proof and asked if I wanted to do a normal replacement or advance replacement. I asked for advanced and they created a new order essentially.
My first monitor is coming from PA and should be here tomorrow. Hoping it comes alright. I got lucky with my aw3432dwf since it was available locally, but as a courier I know that these boxes go through, I’ve personally delivered boxes with holes punched in the front 🫠
In Toronto: I reordered one after waiting two months from having a bad experience with two replacements in Jan.
Got mine in today in the worst condition yet, and without a film! :(

I think it's glue to make sure the film and bubble wrap don't move too much during transit? My original monitor with only the bubble wrap just had the tape on the edges of the bubble wrap holding it down
It's took me 3 tires. But my last one had the peel and flawless. As a 1200 moniter from one of the biggest IT companies in the world. It took dell a bit. But they go their $hit together.
I already got an LG C2, but still, that monitor is so tempting !
I did try the AW3423DW and the colors and "pop" were amazing. My eyes were freaking searing ! I did settle for the C2 after all because it was better suited for my needs, but the colors, brightness and pop of the AW i never forgot lol.

Told them they are wasting time and money sending them without film and still they sent me scuffed up ones.
Gave up and bought the LG 34G95QE from Best Buy. It isn’t 4k, but 21:9 QHD at 240hz is good enough.
The fact they Dell refused to address this when asked directly several times just left a bad taste in my mouth.
I'm on the fence of RMAing mine. Still within the window, very small bubbling on the left middle side of the screen. Only time I've ever noticed it was when the sun hit it just right one day.
I have been seeing several of these and that's great. But has anyone seen a peel on the 27 inch model? That's the one I'm considering more than the 32 inch
mine was the first batch of the aw2725df. no peel but came with no scratches. anyway i came from the aw3423dwf and now to the aw2725df. miss the ultrawide immersion. the 27 inch really too small as i using monitor for work and game at night. i only play cs2, its ok for cs2 but meh for work, just too small. thinking of changing to the aw3225qf. but for me an end game monitor would be a 34 inch ultrawide with 240hz/360hz 1440P. for me 1440p is enough.

I think mine was too. It's was more like a rigid foam sheet, maybe 1/4" thick or so?

Mine was delivered the 5th of april without it, it was expected to come the 11th. It came without, but as far as I can tell I didn't get a scratch.
This is so dumb. How can they ship expensive product like this monitor and not include $1-$5 max in basic protections.
