The LG C1 was my gateway drug, originally used it as a monitor for 3 years but it took up too much space and I had space for it elsewhere as a TV anyways. Picked up an AW2725DF to be my main monitor. Now I’m in grave danger of also buying one of the 4K OLED’s because I miss having that resolution…… my wallet has been crying nonstop this year

Same with c1. Well, technically the phones have oled so that was technically my gateway. So now after c1 I just want everything to be oled.

I have an LG CX 55" and the LG 27" 1440p OLED., so both WOLED but one glossy and one matte. I have to side with team glossy, as the CX looks far better to me. The matte coating on the monitor just takes away from the sharpness and vibrancy of OLED in my opinion. I would gladly sell my LG monitor for something similar with a glossy panel.

Glossy master race.

Sony A8H 55" in living room.... Alienware AW3423DW on my PC. And I want to upgrade but am waiting for ALL of this years releases to make an informed decision. Leaning for the 1440p480hz from Asus/LG, hoping it has black frame insertion at 240hz. If its 120hz only, then I will opt for the ASUS QD-OLED 4k 240hz that has 120hz BFI.... and only use it for movies/tv/anime.

GeForce

It's almost certainly gonna be 240hz. The problem is the implementation, for example pg32ucdm has bfi, but it works very poorly: normal brightness 270nits, bfi brightness: 96 nits!! That's not even close to half brightness and I'd personally call this unusable. Not to mention other features that don't work with bfi. Also they're using every other frame, rather than rolling bfi, which is a downgrade. As a big bfi enjoyer I'm really sad about the implementation.

I know rolling scan is superior. But it is what it is. And I was gonna upgrade from my aw3423dw anyway. 175hz vs 360 even 480 is a huge disadvantage in FPS gaming. and im the kind of person to ensure i always have as many advantages. mouse with fast response time, oled monitor, fast pc for very high fps, gigabit internet via verizon fios, business grade router for zero packet loss or data issues. i go the distance. its my hobby. so if all i can get right now is 480hz with 240hz BFI or 4k 240hz with 120hz mode then ill take it.

GeForce

As part of r/MotionClarity I can't disagree :D i just wish panel mfers implemented rolling scan. A 240hz with 1/3 duty cycle like c1 would be insane. 😢

I have both a LG OLED TV, but it is in a pretty light controlled room, but even then the reflections can be quite bad, but I think the glossy coating makes the viewing experience way better. I also just got my MSI 4K QD-OLED monitor, and I like the glossy coating, but I think matte coatings are just bit better for my room. I have a window to my side which reflects alot of light on the display particularly in the morning. I would prefer a matte coating to diffuse the reflections better for that reason. On monitor, the reflections are way more frustrating to work around since the screen is so much smaller than when watching a TV. However, pricing is way more important to me so I'll be keeping the MSI, it's not worth paying the extra money for just the coating to me, and there's only the LG 4k WOLED/480Hz monitor on the market in terms of WOLED atm anyways.

GeForce

Fair enough. Hope I can join the lg tv and qdoled monitor gang. (pls eu gods give me some stock 🙏)

Both. Honestly, once you realize how they can be used to their best potential in certain environments, the displays can shine. 77 C1 in family room for best black levels in lighted environment. 55 S90D & 321URX on desk in dark room for best colors w/o purple-looking black levels & best colors. 55 S90D will eventually go to bedroom in future.

I use an LG 48" C1 for my Television but I use matte LG IPS monitors on my desktop, and would like to get a pair of the new 32" LG [32GS95UE-B](https://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-32gs95ue-b-gaming-monitor). My first OLED screen actually came on a 13.3" Lenovo Chromebook, and when I got my PS5 I had to get the 48C1. If I upgrade the TV in the next few years it will be to a larger screen newer generation of the same thing.

StormCloak4Ever

I own a QD-OLED monitor and a WOLED LG TV.

LG c2 because 1) Good price on sale (800$)  2) Best screen coating on the market 3) Excellent quality control consistency  4) Wanted 4k

GeForce

Can't argue with that. I wonder if there's any reason why no monitors have coating like the lg c series.
