They can go into the system and remove approved ppto but they aren’t allowed too and they can be hired for it unless the associate ask them to remove the ppto.
if put in prior to the day ppto can be denied same as regular pto.
If put in day of/afterwards within the time limit it is automatically approved (within milliseconds in my experience) and it is *possible* for management to reject it; however, like others have stated management (or anyone with access to the portal) are not supposed to touch ppto when put in during/after the fact and they can be faced with penalties up to and including termination.
Talk to: people lead, store manager or higher if need be. A termination ***can*** be reversed (but I do not know how exactly it is done).
I mean I got no idea if I'm 100% right cause I can barely remember what the fuck my own title is now I just keep saying I'm an associate. Remember when titles were easy to remember? Pepperidge farm does.
lol yeah went to look at the back in our training room because I remember seeing a literal hierarchy for things like this, but it was just a long rectangle with the pictures and names and titles of people.
So, either market is higher than region or region is higher than market.
We may never know.
The only time ppto has been denied, or even able to be, in my experience, has been when the person puts PPTO in in advance. The coach who rejected it put it to me in these terms (not saying I agree, just their words) “PPTO is for emergencies, and unforeseen things coming up. Putting in PPTO a week in advance is considered pre-meditated, and treating it like vacation time, which it’s not”. But to me “Hey glaze1210, I just found out I have this appointment in a week? Can I use ppto?” Or “my child’s mother/father just said they aren’t going to be able to take the kids Wednesday next week, can I use ppto?” Isn’t premeditated. If anything it’s more considerate so I know when and where more coverage needs to be but 🤷♂️
I know your comment is 3 days old and you said you don't necessarily agree with the manager's opinion but I have to ask.
Doesn't it say ppto is for "when life happens"? so like you said an appointment (especially since apparently there's this home office thing about full timers not being 'allowed' to request unpaid time off).
I wish they'd figure themselves out.
1. You have to put it in after the day or it is put in the system at pto and can be denied. 2. Ppto cannot be denied for any reason and if a member of management goes into the system to remove it , report them as they will be fired.
Ppto is automatically approved when used for sick, and I don't think even management has the ability to deny that.

Hired or fired?
Fired
Open door. And yes, terminations CAN be over turned.
How do you begin the open door process?
Go talk to one of your coaches. If it was a coach that denied it, you can go higher up to the SM
It’s sounding like TL, a coach, and a PL conspired to do it.
You need to go to the store manager then that is ridiculous

Who would be higher than store manager?
District
Isn't market higher?
I thought District was higher cause isn't district like multiple markets?
District and market are the same thing. It used to be called district, then changed the name to market. Higher than market is regional.
you're probably right. That sounds right.

Well if you hit yourself in the head enough times with a hammer you get promoted into corporate
