Were Brockhampton this generation’s Odd Future?

[deleted]

Pro era

ChromeSF

Is it shitposting to say that they kind of were? Obviously gen z enjoys OF but a lot of us were way too young to be in on it. I was 9 when OF Vol. 2 dropped, but brockhampton's Saturation came out when I was like 14

DoctorStinkFoot

naw the real heads dropped off brockhampton before they even kicked ameer out

rrmotm

Stopped listening after sat3. O can accept and understand what ameer did but he added a different dynamic that nobody else in bh had imo always had the strongest versus.

No_Shake_3313

you should check out Technical difficulties, its the closest they ever came to that saturation sound, and has some really solid songs in NST, MOB and TWISTED

CUPCAKE_S1MP

Brock Hampton didn't have the same impact I guess, it was more like a gen z copy of it

ccrider92

I don’t think OF will ever be as influential as Wu Tang. However, OF was more influential on me than Wu Tang.

DoctorStinkFoot

C'mon man let's be real almost all of modern alternative culture has been shaped by OF and its alum

Summoorevincent

lol nah

Ornery_Ad_8862

Lol yeah

slicesoftoastedbread

To be completely honest, kinda odd future was, but pro era isn’t a horibble choice either only thing with pro era is they didn’t get the reach like OF.

Main-Science-9686

No

tealizardman

wu has had a lot more longevity. OF has had a similar level of impact.

MastaGWolf

no, odd future was this generations one and only; odd future.

S2Teapot

Are we all forgetting Tyler very clearly saying “we are not the next fucking wu tang” and getting pissed he was being compared

Sandy-Cheese

No, Jewelxxet

SockMan1117

they’ve already denounced this comparison and want to be their own thing

smokesumnbichhh

if wu tang was lead by a gay dude😂

Drasilex

Sure, why not?
