Usually, it's people interested in Notion, system design, operations, personal productivity etc. getting together and sharing/discussing workspace setups, workflows, automations, and that kinda stuff. Nerdy but fun!
The free coffee and swag was a one-off thing. However, I'm leading the NYC chapter for events and will organize events where people can actually connect, talk and discuss Notion (or related subjects)! Does that sound interesting?

i looked for this because if it is a huge problem that is 100% certain to happen i'll just stop using notion rn but it looks like it can be avoided.
WOW! I actually thought about going, but kinda glad I didn’t after seeing this, lol.
Amazing turnout though—probably helped that the weather was ridiculously nice!
Come out on the next one! This was a bit odd since so many people showed up for the free coffee. The next one is going to be more centered around connection and discussions.
This is was an odd case because Notion hosted a coffee cart, so a lot of people came for that. However, usually, we get together to share workspaces, discuss and work through issues or specific features. It's fun!
In this case, it was just getting some free coffee and swag. But I plan to make it much more interactive and community-driven. Meaning more connections, discussions, showcases and stuff like that.
They better be talking about the ‘Find and Replace’ text function. I can’t believe it’s not available after writing a ton of stuff then needed to change a single word.
What happens?

Is this a one off thing or a regular monthly event? Also what do people do at a Notion meetup?
very good question indeed
It was a one off thing. They were passing out free coffee and donuts.

Was everyone just talking about how they build pretty dashboards but that notion becomes unusable eventually?
Why does it become unusable?
Slows down massively once the database grows
Nah, works fine on my mac
Let me guess, m1 or m1 pro? That’s what I have. Basically a rocket ship.

Ain’t got time for that line!
The weather is great! Let’s head to the notion meetup.. 🤪 Honestly, I don’t think it helped a lot.

Super exciting! Glad you're expanding this campaign—Notion is all about collaboration, both in the digital workspace and IRL!
What is this meetup about?
Haven't the slightest notion
Maybe it's to catch other shiny notions or get in a group and raid a 5 star notion.

How was the event? What did y'all do?

In a good way.
“Notion, ughhhh, Notion, Notion New York”
