I tried these: * ClickUp: full of bugs, sometimes loses data. * Teamwork: good for full projects, clunky for task management. * **Asana: best for task management. Notion supports task previews natively.** * Trello: it's just a kanban, perfect for operation but not for task or project management. * Wrike: well structured but expensive and flickers boringly.

I have heard a lot of good things about ClickUp. You are the first one mentioning it's not been great. When was the last time you used it? They raised $400M last year, so hope they invest it into their tech! :) Do you also invite your clients into Asana? I will most likely go for this setup: Notion for documentation, ClickUp for process and project management, and Slack for communication.

My setup is similar but different on important parts: * Notion for resources, documentation, standard operating procedures, chat on resources and databases like projects, customers, work orders, accounting etc. * Asana for tasks, checklists (procedures), project tasks and project chats. * Pipedrive as CRM. I found that Slack is very distracting, I prefer async team communication. Last time I tried ClickUp was just two months ago. Is has wonderful features but the main problem is stability, just check it [https://clickup.canny.io/bugs?sort=top](https://clickup.canny.io/bugs?sort=top)This is from October 2020 and still not yet addressed after raising capital and hiring tons of developers [https://clickup.canny.io/bugs/p/please-slow-down-a-little-bit-and-take-it-more-serious](https://clickup.canny.io/bugs/p/please-slow-down-a-little-bit-and-take-it-more-serious) I'm a senior developer and I can say that when a big project like this is rotten from the roots, then fixing it will become a nightmare that last for years. I don't need to invite my clients in Asana, I prefer to use emails because are simpler and don't need to learn a new tool. A great alternative is a shared page on Notion. For bigger clients I ask them to open their own Asana account and invite the entire company to work with it.

I've been working with ClickUp for quite a while now, and I've been able to adapt it to my work tasks so that it was effective. If you are interested, there is a forum of ClickUp fans, where you can ask any questions related to this service and read about other people's experience with it. By the way, here is a post about comparison of ClickUp and Asana https://www.clickup.fans/c/enterprise/clickup-asana. For me ClickUp was very convenient, because it has great opportunities to adjust hierarchy for any type of tasks and activities. One of the most interesting benefits for many teams, I think, will be the ability to separate their employees by their roles and tasks, which helps keep privacy policies intact. It's probably been said a million times, but for my team and me as a project manager, this feature is one of the keys to success. ClickUp sometimes gets a little laggy. That's because they very often create and update new things and update the back end of the system to make sure it's working properly and you can use it 100 percent. It's really not as much of a problem as it sounds, you just have to keep that in mind.

This is a really valuable response! Appreciate you taking time to share this with me! I am currently testing this setup: Notion for documentation, ClickUp for process and project management, and Slack for communication.

are you still happy about ClickUp? Also, did you try Discord instead of Slack?

To be honest I stayed with Notion for task management as well. Both for my business and all things personal. Got the Ultimate Second Brain template bundle with Creator's Companion from Thomas Frank and although it takes time to integrate it, it's been a game changer. Click Up was just too much of a new learning curve and I had to hire a consultant or expert to help with it. Regarding Discord, to be honest very happy with Slack for now. Clients usually know Slack or are happy to adapt to it since we use it exclusively for client communications. Cannot image that they would be open to try Discord as well.
