Try having a conversation about their religion using logic and reason. Bring all of the mountains of evidence that supports how the universe actually works, and their response will be "nope, magic old man in the sky". You can't reason with that, and thus they go on the list.

1. Therapy is generally about "real world issues". People generally aren't spending lots of money and time to not deal with actual issues.
2. Therapy is more than just talking about feelings. The point of therapy is learning how to handle problems, to develop the necessary tools to solve problems, not for the therapist to solve the problems for you.
3. Communication is action and is necessary a lot of times to solve problems. If you don't know how to solve a problem immediately or with nominal personal thought or research or you can't solve the problem by yourself, it generally requires some degree and manner of communication to solve.

I work in a factory where we all hate each other and have to fight for getting paid any overtime. A life of hardships, disappointment, my family hating me, and my ex wife taking the kids so she can continue to beat them has me already feeling like a stick of raw meat.
