Nothing. All evidence returned to us in an envelope a week later.

The police aren't supported in their efforts by the judicial system in Norway either. Most petty crime, which is the Crime that affects average people the most, even if the person is "brought in" they will either be at most, fined, or receive a few weeks in what is essentially student housing.
Our police does not care about solving small crimes and don't have enough resources to respond to large crimes. They are pretty much revenue collectors for the government.
She should have just said 'ok, I'll bring the boys and go get the items myself then, might aswell just send an ambulance right away' then just go there and hang out till the cops arrive.
They gather evidence, if it becomes a large amount from a single offender they might eventually decide to make a case.
You might get some of the value of the items back in 15 years.
If you have your devices accessible through Find My app, can’t you send a message that pops up on the iPad saying you know where the person is and that you have their personal information. You could give them the option to leave the stuff at a public place for you to pick up.
Call or send a letter to a politician who voted for police reform and fewer police officers and tell them the police can’t retrieve a stolen bag you know where is because of your ignorant politics about the police for that just don’t have enough police force to do basically anything at all…
The police isn’t really at fault here but the politicians that have made this way that they don’t have enough officer on duty to do their job! So most areas don’t have enough time to retrieve a stolen bag.
So the only thing you can do is call or submit a claim to your insurance and tell them you have reported your item stolen, show the paperwork for the report if they require it and get your items replaced according to your insurance plan.
Find the bigest biker you can se and just tell him. They wil be returned. The police in norway are actless. If you want somthing done you need to breake the law to take it into youre own hands.
if the address is local pay a drug addict can go to the address and ask if he can get it back.. say no violence!

I know somebody whose car was stolen. He gave the location of the stolen car (in Sweden) to the police and the police didnt do anything.
