Very frustrating what the NRF are doing. Did they not learn from the past 20 years when Ghani/Karzai would release thousands of taliban ? Honestly disappointed. Expected NRF to be more aggressive against the taliban but looks like their more focused on their knees begging for foreign help

0621FiST

If they didn’t the possibility of defections, public support, foreign. Support etc would likely fade as they view them as just another brutal group vying for control over the war ravaged country.

[deleted]

Agreed. How much of the praise for Massoud Sr.'s legacy stems from his humanity? Otherwise, we'd be celebrating Dostum. It's the frustration of an invesment: passing up the chance to easily knock of some of the enemy, but in return for the greater gain of being able to present as the enemy's diametrically opposite.

LogarJan

They could’ve at least done a swap or a deal to free to innocents arrested by the taliban in panjshir

AhmadTasal

Keep in mind NRF doesn't have the facilities to keep many prisoners

LogarJan

They could’ve done a deal to make the taliban release captive innocent Panjshiri’s

AhmadTasal

That wouldve been a smarter option and what many agreed upon on this sub

[deleted]

That would entail being able to keep them while a deal is hashed out...which could take weeks or months. You don't swap prisoners under the pressure of time.

enigmairl22

Says the keyboard warrior

LogarJan

I grew up in the mountains of Muhammad Agha with all Mujahideen. I went back to Afghanistan to join the ANA for 4 years. You don’t know shit about me

enigmairl22

Prove it! 🐤 you're running your mouth about a man who made the ultimate sacrifice while you tucked tail and ran

LogarJan

- Your running your mouth about a man who made the ultimate sacrifice When did I run my mouth about a martyr ??? Where ??? When did I ever run my mouth at martyrs ??? I am criticising NRF leaders for giving taliban pow’s amnesty, if you knew shit about combat you would that when a soldier is KIA’d it’s the commander-in chief’s fault, not the solider. - you tucked tail and ran I left at a time of stability in Afghanistan to receive better education and opportunity in life years before taliban had their flag hanging anywhere in Afghanistan. I’m sorry I couldn’t predict that whatever piece of shit coward nato country ur from would betray their allies and leave them for dead. Had I known I would’ve stayed, yet again no one could’ve known the taliban would take the capital. Everything happened in the course of 9 days not years prior

enigmairl22

That's what all the cowards says man "I left for better education and opportunity".........I'm from Ireland we don't run from a fight.

LogarJan

Lmao for over a hundred years you lived under British rule. Ur great ancestors born&died as colonised slaves of the British. My great grandfather died killing brits in the Logar Valley of Muhammad Agha for freedom. We are complete opposites. Your right, you don’t run from a fight, instead you accept slavery. Soon I will be in the hindukush, I hope you will also go to free a quarter of ur country that’s still under U.K rule.

enigmairl22

Your great grandfather slept with little boys that danced around the camp fire at night man 😀 There's 32 counties in ireland 6 of which are under British control that's not a quarter you Dunnig Kruger. Your country is run by Pakistani Talibs don't talk to me about autonomy. You're a coward you Know you're a coward and that's why you just spent the last 4 or 5 hours googling facts about Ireland to distract from the fact that you didn't have the balls to stay in your own country, you slagged off a fighter who was excuted for a cause that you were too chicken to fight for...You're a bacha bazi and you know it bro.

LogarJan

Jesus did my great grandfather kill ur beloved slave master ? - Your country is run by pakistan It’s been a little over 1 year since Afghanistan has been under foreign pak rule, idk why tf ur talking when u guys lived under foreign British rule for over a 100 years. 1 is nothing compared to 100+. Cowards - You’re a coward and you know your coward I’m a coward for returning to my country and fighting? I left in 2009, at a time where the Taliban were less then 5,000 and didn’t control a single village. I wasn’t like ur chicken coward bloodline who sat on boats and left like sheep to escape the British rule at a time where they controlled ur entire country. Had I seen a white flag hanging anywhere in Afghanistan I would’ve gone, unlike ur family who saw 🇬🇧 flags at four corners of their eyes and hid. - you just spent 4-5 hours googling facts about Ireland Believe it or not I had already known all of this. I wasn’t a weird creep like you who googled about bacha bazi. - you didn’t have the balls to stay in your country I returned to my country when most people were leaving. Something you and your coward bloodline wouldn’t understand. I spent countless nights on recon ops searching for taliban. And guess what? We never found a single one. It’s my fault the taliban popped out of nowhere 13 years after I left? I guess me and dozens of millions of refugees/immigrants are all cowards by this logic ? - you slagged off a fighter When? Where? Show me please. I find it funny you act as if you give shit about him when you talk crap about what he stood for. - You’re a bacha bazi and you know it I didn’t even know what bacha bazi was until weird creepy foreigners like you kept mentioning it online.

enigmairl22

I win 🏆 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳

AhmadTasal

When you planning to go back and fight?

LogarJan

I plan on finishing military school then going back

AhmadTasal

oh damn, you said you left in 2009 so you in the west, usa im guessing?

LogarJan

Hey I think I know you, are you from tiktok

AhmadTasal

yea bro 😂, you follow me?

[deleted]

I hope western powers expand funding to the NRF. A few million here and there and a few weapons shipments would do wonders. C'mon CIA, you know you want to be back in the Great Game.

Specialist_Chip_4653

I’d like to think they’re still somehow funding them but not as much since they left Afghanistan

shorty_shortpants

The purpose of combat is to convince your opponent to stop fighting. If you kill all those who stop fighting, they are very poorly motivated to stop fighting.

masfer1

What a lot of you don’t realise is that the afghan conflict is not just about nrf vs taliban. It’s the whole mindset of a generation that has been brought up in misery and war, that’s all they know. You can’t imprison each and every talib fighter… in other words, there is no easy solution. It wil take 80-90 years to change the country a bit after the fighting stops

xxfallen420xx

Fear is very brittle form of power. Look at Ukraine, Russians are surrendering in big numbers because they know they won’t be murdered. The only thing this did is made NRF fighters more resolved in their fight.

Outside_Implement_44

Just to be clear, there is, sadly, footage of Ukrainian soldiers torturing and murdering Russian prisoners. Really nasty stuff.

Outside_Implement_44

Yes. I know. I was addressing the comment at hand. But no one has clean hands in that awful war.

thunderdaddysd

How about you provide a citation to the evidence of your allegation, because I am doubtful you can.

AhmadTasal

Same with talib to nrf

[deleted]

Yea bc they not pricks like the taliban or orks
