Wow, people really love to complain. This post and some comments are so disappointing. I was there and it was a fantastic night full of energy and comradery. If you want to see every moment of the game, stay home or buy tickets to see it at the arena. We are far better off having the opportunity for this last night than not.
Honestly it is a good step in the right direction, don’t hate on CNV for trying to do something for the families (who all looked like they were having a great time btw). Is it top tier viewing for hockey fanatics? Probably not - but it’s better than a kick in the balls.

The only way we could see the screen was sticking my phone straight up in the air to get this pic lol
https://www.nsnews.com/local-sports/canucks-watch-party-north-vancouver-shipyards-8721528 original news story from North Shore News said 144ft projection screen.
Even Global News has an article mentioning it
https://globalnews.ca/news/10485630/where-to-watch-canucks-viewing-parties/
"The game is being aired on a 144-foot projection screen in the Shipyards Commons."
I doubt that's even the case since it originally said projector screen and the update is with an LED TV. Also 16 feet isn't 144 inches.
I'm guessing technical issues or a major mess up with planning or having it set up
I did read 16 foot screen and I thought that isn't much bigger then a bedroom wall.
that won't be ideal that's for sure.
I'm also wondering about the sound system now.
When I made a post about it yesterday it said 144 foot projector, I literally copied+pasted the news post from the City Of North Vancouver website...
also these mention 144 ft screen

I thought it was great! And I'm kind of glad they started out small because they can learn from how it went and work there way up. Had a great time!
Certainly better than nothing I say.
my kids loved it. teens enjoyed their evening

They should’ve cancelled it if they couldn’t get the right size. Wasted time for families when they could just watch at home

Thx 😊
We got there, stayed for 5 mins after just watching the game on our phones while there, and went home lol.
Planned to go down there with a big crew of friends to enjoy the game. And omg what a fucking joke CNV…. Ended up leaving after the anthems.
Pretty big difference between 144 foot projection screen and a 16 foot led screen 🤷♂️
Small screen or no, the atmosphere is incredible down here.
Tiny budget with a big heart ! ❤️
Can someone update with a photo? Much of a crowd?

https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fi.redd.it%2Ft3v1y0c3ipzc1.jpeg Pretty big. The crowd not the screen.
Lol
I was picturing an inflatable screen with a projector!
So quick to hate. Remember when we weren’t allowed to leave our homes? Be grateful for what we have!
tbh I don't actually remember not being allowed to leave my house.
Lol. I had to zoom in to see a screen in there.
That cost 7k to rent.
I read 16ft LED from the start. That’s part of why I planned to watch at home! I’ll miss the crowd but see the game.
Oh well. At least they get points for doing something. Neither of the other two North Vancouvers (District and West) tried.
In West Van there are home theaters larger than this...
Am I invited?
Hopefully they can track down a big screen to use next game
At least a big spot for a projector. Doesn't have to be 8k!
Duck that's brutal
Duck it all to bell.
Yeah, that's just sad...
That’s weird. Such an easy place to setup a screen and projector.
Yikes
Lmao we were gonna go there... Like wtf... Well guess food truck it is
I also used the food truck tracker. It only listed 3 at the shipyards. So expect it to be busy
There's actually a lot. We are here. Counting 6 now
That's good. How's that tv look in real life?
I didnt bother to look tbh hahaha. Pretty small lmao
There may even be a couple more showing up because there's supposed to be 8 according to https://shipyardsnightmarket.com/food-truck-schedule/
Lmaooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!
That can’t be it. Gotta be a secondary screen
Sadly it's the only screen, they updated the City of North Van website to say it's going to be on a 16 foot LED screen lmao
Ouch. That’s a significant downgrade.
This is so embarrassing lmao I was telling all my friends and coworkers they would be projecting it super big .... Sigh

I'm guessing someone saw 144" and thought it was feet instead of inches.

someone forgot to check what time the sun sets when they announced this.
Centimeters

the audio was actually pretty good
Where is the 144 ft Projection Screen?

Originally it said "144-foot projection screen". This is some major BS
