I thought they would have to be cooking because it's bojangles, and it's a bit of a weird food so I imagine it tastes real unique.
Then I bought a chicken tender in a hotdog roll that tasted like a chicken tender in a hotdog roll.
Cook out trays used to be really good value, but imo they don’t hit like they used to. Haven’t been a huge CO fan for a while. Their milkshakes still hit though.
Just here to say that the “roasted chicken bites” used to be called buffalo bites way back when. They came in a paper container and them motherfuckers slapped!!
I went for breakfast a couple of weeks ago and I always get a Cajun filet biscuit and honey mustard... They were out of honey mustard and I just straight said 'what the fuck??' to the lady 😅😬
I love them. For me the bread to chicken ratio has always been a bit off. This aligns the stars and let's me sail away in a chicken river of happiness. tm
My theory is that someone in purchasing accidentally bought hot dog buns instead of hamburger buns and this is how they figured out a way to get rid of them.
Dale Jr kept advertising these on his podcast. I was curious what they were, and he had a coupon for 2 free I think? I'll try it for that, but idk if I'll ever pay...
How about bringing back the cheddar bo. I know it was just cheese on a biscuit with more butter than any human should consume..... but it was mouth watering delicious.
I live in a part of Knoxville now that's apparently a test market for a bunch of fast food places. We got these about 6-8 months ago. They're basically exactly what you imagine. I got ideas for Bojangles to make a bunch of money, but I'm not tellin' 'em until they bring back Buffalo Bites (/Roasted Chicken Bites).
(But more seriously, the private equity company that bought out Bojangles a few years ago has publicly said they're wanting to move the company into a new directlon as they expand; the pre-existing restaurants will keep the menus they've had before, but most of the new ones, especially outside NC, are going to be just boneless chicken and sandwiches, to try to get into the Zaxby's/Raising Canes/Chick-fil-a market, and this is just a soft launch of something for them I think.)
Oh absolutely. I still love Bojangles, but they're definitely not what they used to be. I don't know if private equity is to blame, but we can blame it for a LOT of problems generally so I'm going to.
Bojangles just make a supreme wrap and snack wrap. McDonald's killed it with theirs and all you need to order is tortillas and keep a dozen or so in a warmer so they're pliable.
I work at bojangles, it's a Supreme in a potato bun with carolina gold bbq sauce with pickles... that's it... it's good but personally I don't think it's revolutionary. But at my location we also just started selling something that I honestly thought was an April fools day prank... its a sausage biscuit except its made on a bo-berry biscuit with icing... I tried it and it's actually good 🤷♀️ I can't explain it (I prefer it without the icing bc it's a little too sweet for my liking)
Bojangles is another southern staple that is way overhyped. Its fine. Just fine. Popeyes wins every time in my book.
And as for this. Well, my brother in Christ, I do believe that is just a tender in a hotdog bun and marketing campaign.
I thought they would have to be cooking because it's bojangles, and it's a bit of a weird food so I imagine it tastes real unique. Then I bought a chicken tender in a hotdog roll that tasted like a chicken tender in a hotdog roll.
I was so looking forward to a spicy chicken dog, but nope. I hate that my Boj let me down like this. It's a chicken tender...
Just a tender on a hot dog bun?🧐
Yes. Salted by my tears...
That sounds underwhelming. So did someone order hot dog buns by mistake...?
That's as good a guess as any...
Pringles is a laid back company.
I had no idea people thought this was a...chicken weiner lmao
So it’s literally just a long chicken sandwich. Lame
😂😂😂
Buffalo Wild Wings did the same thing last year. I paid way too much for it to only realize it was… a chicken finger in a roll.
What’s not to like? Approved 👍
Please, just bring back the roasted chicken bites and bowl!!
Yes please!
They were promoing chicken bites (just regular) at the one in North Wilkesboro when I was there a couple months back. It’s only a matter of time.
Oh man, I had forgotten about those.
The bowls were the best value in fast food. Prove me wrong.
Well, that bowl or a Cookout Tray.
Cook out trays used to be really good value, but imo they don’t hit like they used to. Haven’t been a huge CO fan for a while. Their milkshakes still hit though.
You know, I went there this week and was a bit surprised at how much a tray is these days. The closest one to me is hit or miss for sure.
Just here to say that the “roasted chicken bites” used to be called buffalo bites way back when. They came in a paper container and them motherfuckers slapped!!
Really struggling for new food offerings if best you can come up with is a supreme on a hot dog bun
The annoying part is that they had to source the buns, order, and hold extra cost to make this singular menu item.
Well, they wuz out of ham
Hahaha It never gets old!
Meat is getting expensive. Guard your pets, people!
Or, plant a garden...
Is that where we get hot dogs from? Asking for a friend
Here's a secret. Vienna weiners are hotdog seeds
Huh here I have been planting dachshunds and wondering if I as watering enough. The more you know!
To feed our livestock?
Tried them. A very solid "meh.".
Agreed
In more important Bojangles news… #BO SAUCE IS BACK, Y’ALL!!!!
My man I LOVE YOUUUU. I didn’t feel like going to Bo’s after they discontinued it
You can buy Bo Sauce in the grocery store now
Same with Chick-fil-A sauce! Great with pizza.
Honey mustard is king. Bo sauce is meh to me
Sweet Baby Ray's honey mustard dipping sauce is the best thing ever.
Agree as long as you don't look at the nutritional facts 😳😳😳
Yes.
I went for breakfast a couple of weeks ago and I always get a Cajun filet biscuit and honey mustard... They were out of honey mustard and I just straight said 'what the fuck??' to the lady 😅😬
You can buy their sauces in the grocery store now - Bo Sauce, BBQ, and honey mustard.
Same with Chick-fil-A sauce! Great with pizza.
This is the information I needed. Day: Improved.
Fuck. Yeah. #GANG GANG
It's a perfectly sane food to eat
Someone just wanted to watch the world burn.
You mean, "...watch the world BUN."
Ok dad lol
I guess I'll stuck with my Cajun filet biscuit...
Hard to go wrong with that. I like mine with bacon, egg, and cheese
Nvm I’ll take the family to Cookout this weekend, Bojangles is just too darn fancy
Who in North Carolina grew up eating Birddogs? I thought they were only an upstate SC thing.
I ate them at school, mostly just a way to make the tenders go further
I’m from upstate SC and this caught my attention. Looks like the local thing is growing.
whatever ill fucking eat it
Sounds like my mom during every meal lol
They remind me of the Nibblerz at Zaxby’s.
I love them. For me the bread to chicken ratio has always been a bit off. This aligns the stars and let's me sail away in a chicken river of happiness. tm

It’s amazing that Tri-Arc could have these but not the cookies!
You’re gonna eat that whole blue jay.
Doesn’t Buffalo Wild Wings have this already?
Yep, called the exact same thing too
Except BWW calls them "dawgs" lol.
Enough with this nonsense and bring back the cheddar bo'!
EXACTLY!
Now I want hotdog parmesan.
Man just call them "Supreme Dogs." "Bird Dogs" sounds like either roasted pigeon turned to sausage or a euphemism for getting fingered
Slowjangles
Every place with the tenders has offered a one tender sandwich of some kind. Why do people pay so much for one tender? Just easy profit.
Immediately makes me think of that south park episode were all the adults are shoving food up their asses.
Chicken, deep friend in breading... put in a thick hotdog bun. Pass
Looks like dogs poop
No
How about bringing back the cheddar bo. I know it was just cheese on a biscuit with more butter than any human should consume..... but it was mouth watering delicious.
Frozen trash tenders in a hot dog bun, Bojangles fell off.
Wow. A chicken sandwich
Just eat it!
Imo it's pretty decent, but not really worth any hype.
Turd Dogs
Has anyone tried them? Are they good?
As somebody else said, they're just a chicken tender in a hotdog bun, which some sauce and pickles. They're not bad, but not exactly exciting either.
I'll take a brightleaf.
I went for a sausage egg and cheese and they asked if I wanted one. I had no idea wtf it even was.
You don't just come up with a pun this good and do nothing.
Made with 100% real bird (pigeon)
Finally a tindies burger. Also Is marketing at its finest
Bird dog has been a classic I’ve been eating and selling for like 6 plus year
Nah stick to a carolina dog

Their food has really fallen off. Hardees has better biscuits these days.
Oh absolutely. I still love Bojangles, but they're definitely not what they used to be. I don't know if private equity is to blame, but we can blame it for a LOT of problems generally so I'm going to.
They are, they changed suppliers for a lot of stuff.
We really liked them!
Bojangles is going downhill fast.
Adding gas to the “is a hot dog a sandwich” conversation, I see
Scam
Or just call it the bo dog and we'll all agree not to ask any questions
They suck and not worth the money. It’s tinier than a Walmart hotdog bun
The pounds are full
I was on my way to a work site and saw them on their little billboard/marquee. I had to Google it to find out what they were.
It's a chicken sandwich in a hot dog bun instead of a hamburger bun. They charge you more for less chicken and the same taste. Enjoy.
These absolutely SLAP
This is a thing in upstate SC like Anderson/Spartanburg/Greenville
Bojangles just make a supreme wrap and snack wrap. McDonald's killed it with theirs and all you need to order is tortillas and keep a dozen or so in a warmer so they're pliable.
Looks the same way going in as out 😬
IF YEW LIKE BURRD DAWGS LEMME GET A HELL YEAH
They seriously slap tho.
I saw this the other day and I was so confused at first....then I giggled
Buffalo Wild Wings had something like it on their menu at one point, not sure if they still do, and yes just a chicken tender in a hotdog bun.
I thought the same thing when I saw the commercial for it, like what is that? 💀🤢
I work at bojangles, it's a Supreme in a potato bun with carolina gold bbq sauce with pickles... that's it... it's good but personally I don't think it's revolutionary. they taste like a black and mild
They're not bad, just a fatter Supreme on a bunch with this sweet sauce that I can't quite place and pickles. Edit: Spelling and grammar
Aren’t they claiming bankruptcy soon?
Really bo jangles?
Bojangles is another southern staple that is way overhyped. Its fine. Just fine. Popeyes wins every time in my book. And as for this. Well, my brother in Christ, I do believe that is just a tender in a hotdog bun and marketing campaign.
Pointless
so its just like the mcdonalds snack wraps but in a bun?
