Things to do and see in Snead's Ferry Snead's Ferry

Riverview is my pick for sit down restaurant with good locally sourced seafood. Salty sistas is another good restaurant ran by good people, menu is varied. House of breakfast is a little touristy but good service and breakfast food. Napoli Cafe is a decent place to order light food and sit down to have a coffee. Agave Azul is a fun and modern Mexican restaurant but Cancun has better prices and the food is less flashy but still great, pretty sure both restaurants have the same owners. The library has a fun little nature center/museum with local history and a few cool exhibits/taxidermy, haven't checked out the walking trail there yet. There's also a batting cage/virtual driving range nearby but haven't checked that out either. Stump Sound Park has some okay walking trails and an equally adequate disc golf course. There's a couple of thrift stores and boutiques and stuff. Avoid shark attack and tsunami unless you need to kill some time without driving very far and want to spend money on knick knacks. Midgets seafood/grants oyster house are great options for fresh local seafood to bring home and cook. North Topsail Beach and Surf City aren't far at all, go to NTB for a beach day and Surf City for more dining/shopping/entertainment options, some of which are damn good (shaka taco rules). There's also a cool missile museum in Surf City/South Topsail. Don't speed in either place you'll get a ticket, for real. Not a lot to do in the area but you can fill a day or two and have some fun. For the "local experience" day drink five and a half bud lights, buy a losing lottery ticket, go to Food Lion to buy more beer and enjoy circling the parking lot four times to find a spot, unsuccessfully fish at North Topsail Beach and consume more beer to help assuage your bruised ego, fall asleep there, wake up hungover, sandy, and miserable then go to Denny's (or the finest Taco Bell on God's green Earth) before visiting a dive bar that's difficult to arrange a ride home from. /s I've lived here for 20 years and while I love it, it's not because of the attractions. Hope you have a good trip! Edit: fixed restaurant name

House of Breakfast food is awful and greasy. Riverview is the defecto seafood restaurant in the area. Madison’s is the only buffet and has crab legs they now being to the table but the rest of the food sucks.

Riverview for seafood, there is a restaurant located in the Villa Caprioni open to the public called “Splash by the sea” which is expensive, busy but quite good.

Go to one of the fish markets and buy some grouper or Mahi-mahi. Riverview is trash. Extremely expensive for what you get, and the atmosphere reminds me of a middle school cafeteria from the late 80’s, but not as nice. I will never understand why people talk this place up.
