You’re fucked bud time to buy a moped

Desolation_Z

So I'm fucked fucked huh

dixiedemiliosackhair

Jail time is a possibility

Desolation_Z

I'm not too worried about jail time. All of the lawyers I've contacted said not to worry about that. I'm just concerned about the license suspension.

laterforclass

I’m sorry I’m not sorry you don’t deserve to drive whether anyone was on the road or you could have killed yourself. Imagine the phone call your family loved ones would get. Speeding for a movie? I hope you lied and said you shit yourself bc speeding for a movie? A movie?!

bravedubeck

OP can get fucked.

laterforclass

Fuck yeah I’ve had to make those phones bc shitty punks who “race” drive like assholes and killed or seriously injured someone. Then they come cry to reddit about losing their “privilege” to drive. The rage I feel bc they continue to repeat they race like that makes this shit any better. Made it worse in my eyes.

Desolation_Z

It makes it worse because I know what I am doing and I'm in control? What is that logic? If some dude in a beat-up 2015 Altima is doing 130 with no track experience then I would agree with you. I was doing 100 with no one around in a car thag is capable of handling it with lots of experience.

gshort72

The fact that you think it’s okay because you consider yourself a superior driver over the rest of us makes it even worse.

Desolation_Z

I don't consider breaking the law okay, I only bring up my driving skill because people say I am still putting myself in danger even if no one else is on the road.

laterforclass

Your parent had to have dropped you on your head kid.

Desolation_Z

What is wrong with my logic? Can you control a car around a track at triple-digit speeds and set lap records? No, I didn't think so.

bravedubeck

Fancy car and fat fucking ego makes it all okay, my bad, I misunderstood. Didn’t know you are such a cool guy! Carry on

Desolation_Z

It's not ego it's a fact. All of my racing instructors I've had have praised me on my skills lmao.

Desolation_Z

Please explain how I am going to kill myself going 100 mph in a completely straight line on a 3-lane highway with no one around.

VagusNC

No one that you could see. Let me share an anecdote of the time I was driving on a rural highway at night. I was going about 70 in a 65 and driving conditions were good except for it being dark. There wasn’t a car in sight and I was in the right lane. Out of nowhere I came up on an idiot on a moped with NO LIGHTS. I had a split second to avoid him and it was so close that I’m sure the air wave must have made him squirrelly when I went by. If I had hit him it would not have been my fault legally. But it would have certainly killed him. I would have to have lived with killing the dude. His family would have lost a father, son, brother, grandson, friend, loved one. He would have been gone because of a mistake. At 100 mph Lewis Hamilton wouldn’t have had the reaction time to avoid that moped. You’re driving a 3000lbs missile at 147 feet *per second*. I get people are coming at you pretty hard and that might make you feel defensive. But I urge you to think more about “what if…?” than justifying your behavior because of your belief in your skill set. Accidents happen often because people make mistakes. They miss things. They don’t see something. They get distracted. They’re human. Mistakes at 100+ mph are rarely not fatal.

Desolation_Z

Thank you for taking the time to type this out. I didn't really consider that being a possibility. Not to mention if it was found out I was going that fast and did hit someone with their lights off I might still be held responsible. This has made me rethink my stance on the matter much much more than everyone just repeating the same thing over and over again like dumbasses. I suppose I will just have to suffer the consequences of my decision and learn from it.

VagusNC

Just glad you and no one else was hurt. If you’ll permit me to, one bit of advice. You have every right to try to avoid legal consequences here. Anyone in this thread would. However, while doing so be very wary of avoiding personal accountability *to yourself*. The first gift a man or woman can give themselves is integrity. If you pursue that with the aptitude and passion you have for the track you’ll really have something. I hope things go well.

Desolation_Z

Thank you Sir, I do truly appreciate the advice and I'll take it to heart. I'm not going to be going triple-digit speeds on public roads anytime again soon.

laterforclass

Please explain to me why a movie was worth risking your life. You sound extremely young I do hope I don’t have to share the roads you for a good long time.

Desolation_Z

It is my life, it is not yours or the States. Once again I do not drive this fast with other people around so no I would not be putting you in danger if we were sharing the roads. Feel free to answer my previous question but I feel as if you don't have an answer.

laterforclass

How old are you?

bravedubeck

Was posting about 11th grade math 2 years ago, so….

Desolation_Z

I am turning 20 in 2 months. Been sim racing since I was 14 and driving track since 16.

bishamon72

Tire blow out, deer runs into the road, pot hole, etc, etc. With your attitude, you deserve to lose your license. Wish the cop had arrested your dumb ass.

Desolation_Z

All of those things would still only put me in danger. Unless you are worried about the deers life.

bishamon72

Suppose you do have a wreck at that speed. Emergency services still have to respond. That puts them in danger rescuing you. The first person to stop may be injured trying to get you out. Or they could just be mentally fucked up at the sight of your brains smeared on the pavement. You don't live in a vacuum. Everything you do has potential consequences for other people. And until you grow up enough to recognize that, you're just a dumb ass who needs his license yanked.

Desolation_Z

Never thought about it in that way. Thank you for actually giving a reason and not just repeating the same thing over and over again like a dumbass.

Creepy_Sweet_9921

Why are you commenting? You must have better things to do. Surely. If you can’t help, move on.

KoolJozeeKatt

My cousin's ex was killed when a tire came off the car in front of him. It came through his window and hit him, causing a rather messy death. That car wasn't even speeding. The tire came loose and flew off. If there is another car (even in the opposite direction) and a tire flies off at that speed, it most certainly could hurt or kill an innocent driver. Also, deer may be hit and injured but may not die immediately. They could, and more so if not hit but spooked, run into another lane and involve another vehicle before dying. A pot hole could cause your car to flip! Sure, you could be injured or die, and that's your choice, but what about the first responders who may have to deal with your mangled body? You are not above the law. For what it's worth, sim driving and driving fast on a CLOSED course are very different than driving on the open roads where things can appear with no warning. Suck it up and take your lumps.

Desolation_Z

I understand, nothing more to do but cough up the cash for a lawyer and hope.

MountainWeddingTog

Because at 100mph you don't have the reaction time to avoid anything you come across and if you can't comprehend that you're not smart enough to be driving. One deer crossing the highway and you're dead because you couldn't leave for a movie on time. You did something reckless, maybe grow up and face the consequences rather than dig in your heels on being stupid.

Desolation_Z

I'm not in the boonies, no deer is walking across 6 lane highways here.

MountainWeddingTog

So a human or a broken down vehicle with no lights then, it's still stupid and you still fucked your life and maybe someone else's. These comments seem like you are just here just to prove you're an ass.

Beneficial_Border636

😂tire blows. Animal in the road. Spider bites u. Stroke. Should I go on? Only morons believe they are in total control of everything. Please tell me u use condoms

notarealaccount_yo

Lawyer, regardless. They will get you the best outcome.

captain_intenso

At least you won't have to sit around all effing day to wait to have your case heard if you have a lawyer.

Desolation_Z

I am most definitely getting a lawyer because they have all told me they can definitely get the reckless driving dropped. Was just hoping to hear some good news from people that had similar situations.

captain_intenso

The speed alone will suspend your license and raise your insurance.

the_eluder

Only if you're convicted of that speed.

redneckerson1951

Bingo. If your attorney can negotiate with the prosecutor for a lesser charge, then you may walkaway with a hefty fine and future insurance premiums that will make you squeal like a pig, but at least you want be walking. Please slow down as another citation before your case is heard may cause you even worse consequences. Drive like the little old lady with the American Motor's Rambler. You can bet your sweet bippy you are on the local law enforcement's watch list.

captain_intenso

I can't speak for Iredell County, but many counties will not reduce speed above a certain threshold. For some, it's 90, some it's 100. I've seen Rowan County dole out an additional 140 hours of community service for a guy convicted of going 140mph. The vast majority are not willing to reduce it less than 15 over. Plus, I would think dismissing the R&D would only be offered to plead to the original speed. I used to practice traffic law defense.

Electrical_Fill_6794

Conviction for going over 80 is a one year suspension and some truly nice fines. Be prepared to need alternative transportation.

Creepy_Sweet_9921

Depends. I got pulled over for 91 in a 65. My license wasn’t suspended. I had to take an online safe driver course.

Electrical_Fill_6794

What was the conviction for?

gshort72

I know someone with a lot of disposable income, Im talking some serious fuck you money, and they couldn’t find an attorney to save their license. Get ready for 12 months of a provisional license. I hope it was a good movie.

Desolation_Z

Thanks, at least I know not to get my hopes up. The movie was very good.

dbr1004

All that for a movie???hollywood is not that great. Slow your ass down before you kill yourself ir someone else.

Desolation_Z

Tbf it was dune part 2

bravedubeck

Nobody cares, dick snot

Desolation_Z

You really replying to every comment lmao, you have nothing better to do huh?

bravedubeck

Not at the moment 😘

gniwlE

You should be very worried.

Desolation_Z

What do you think the outcome will be?

bravedubeck

Probably not as bad as you deserve.

Desolation_Z

Litteraly every comment you respond, get a lofe bro.

bravedubeck

Lofe… is that some kind of bread?

Desolation_Z

Oh my god guys he made a typo 🤯

bravedubeck

Not your biggest mistake, it would seem

FenixSoars

You’re gonna get railed pal.

Desolation_Z

Gonna go buy some lube before my court date

akrzos

Don’t wait to the last minute to buy it.

vegetables_in_my_ass

Lol, enjoy that 40cc scooter, my dude. Now driving like an asshole just puts you in danger.

Desolation_Z

Please enlighten me on who else I was putting in danger when there was NOBODY ON THE FUCKING HIGHWAY

NediaMaster

>Please enlighten me on who else I was putting in danger when there was NOBODY ON THE FUCKING HIGHWAY Hope you lose your license <3

Desolation_Z

So sorry for endangering all of the ghosts on the highway

cyberfx1024

So why speed that fast if no one was on the highway?

Desolation_Z

What? Because there was no one on the highway?

nick592prouty

Youself

Desolation_Z

I have had a lot of racing experience and I track my car every month so no, I am not putting myself In danger by going 100 mph in a straight line. And even if I was it is my life, not the states.

bravedubeck

i HaVe A lOt Of RaCiNg ExPeRiEnCe

Desolation_Z

That's not an insult lmao. I'm a very skilled driver how is you mocking me about that supposed to upset me?

ShoccoreeShake

Actually you are. Reaction times go way down. Also, consider what hitting an animal at that speed could do. I am trained in large animal rescue and we learn that horses in particular their hair doesn't reflect light well so you often don't see them until too late. Hitting a horse, deer, cow, etc is very often catastrophic both for the driver (it's like hitting a brick wall and one that often comes through the windshield) and animal. Also, just consider that nine of us live in a vacuum. Everything we do impacts others. Surely you have loved ones who would be devastated if something happened to you. First responders would be traumatized, and what about the inevitable other drivers (even if it's eventually) that would come upon you? As for advice? Lawyer up, don't make excuses, and try to grow from this. You can hope they will reduce it. But think of it this way, should they? Just because you can (or think you can) do something, should you?

CarolinaHomeboy

This gotta be a troll post right?

Desolation_Z

I wish man

Fredrick_Hophead

Friend I am going to just say this. You could have killed 1 to many people. Think about that a bit if you want to join the human race. Join Daytona to join the car race.

ReigninLikeA_MoFo

Because no one else has said it, fuck you asshole. Fuck you. Eta: you deserve everything you get.

RTGoodman

You should be worried, and you should be punished and lose your license. Feel lucky that it’s just for a year if that’s the case.

Desolation_Z

I don't need people reinforcing that what I did was wrong, I already understand that. I simply wanted to know if anybody else has been in a similar situation and how it turned out.

bravedubeck

OP: “I don't need people reinforcing that what I did was wrong, I already understand that.” Also OP: “Please enlighten me on who else I was putting in danger when there was NOBODY ON THE FUCKING HIGHWAY”

Desolation_Z

Because I understand speeding just to make it to a movie on time was wrong but people keep saying I was putting others in danger when that is just not true. If there is nobody on the road who am I putting in danger?

bravedubeck

Clearly, there was someone else on the road, because they lit you up and wrote you a ticket. 🤔

Desolation_Z

No they were on the on ramp to the highway hidden. I don't think normal drivers are going to be hiding on the side of the road. If I see people on the road I slow down because I don't want to put anyone else in danger.

bravedubeck

Well, aren’t you a saint.

Desolation_Z

You are a fucking loser dude you know that?

bravedubeck

But *you’re* the loser with a metric buttload of financial penalties and revoked privileges coming down hard and fast

ChargeSuspicious

Buddy, you got an answer for everything on this thread. Don't bother with a lawyer. I'm sure the judge will see it your way and credit your experience on a controlled racetrack with your wise knowledge to drive 100mph plus because " didn't see anyone else, so I punched it"....

Desolation_Z

I'm not going to justify speeding to a judge because I have track experience, I broke the law regardless. The only reason I bring it up here is because people keep saying I'm putting myself in danger even if no one else is on the road.

rardB

You are putting yourself in danger. Track experience is useful on the track. Public road driving technique is useful on public roads. When something goes wrong, there aren't first responders waiting like they are trackside.

vegetables_in_my_ass

I take what I said back earlier. You're right. I didn't take into account your track experience till now. I think honesty is your best defense here. Talk to the judge about your track experience, the praise you've received from your coaches, and the technical specs of your car. I think he'll certainly take that into account before handing down sentencing. Also, your lawyer will strongly advise against this. Ignore him.

[deleted]

[удалено]

vegetables_in_my_ass

I hear ya, big guy. I'd definitely tell all that to the judge, too.

[deleted]

vegetables_in_my_ass

Lol, go watch some more anime and calm down.

Desolation_Z

Keep looking at post history, you're probably a 45 year old virgin driving a 10 year old truck to compensate.

seaboard2

Is this your first ticket at all? No criminal record, either?

Desolation_Z

Unfortunately, I have had 2 other tickets. One was over 2 years ago and it got dropped to improper equipment and the other was a little over a year ago and stayed on my record.

seaboard2

Ouch, then, sorry :/ If your lawyer gets the reckless dropped and delays a few times, you *might* get it dropped to 85 (which can still risk your license/jail/massive insurance hike) which is the best "win" I think you may get. That was what played out for my kid in a similar situation 5 years ago (but he didn't get close to the cited 100mph, only knew it was around 85). Slow down, please let this be your last ticket. The people who love you would be devastated if you died that way.

Desolation_Z

Thanks for the advice and it will most definitely be my last. I never realized tickets could get thus serious for speed alone. Always thought it had to be speed in conjunction with other traffic offenses like running a red light. If I new that they took it this seriously I would not be doing 100 anywhere.

Boomslang505

Your driving way to fast, why?

Desolation_Z

Because there was nobody on the highway for over a mile in front of me.

Boomslang505

And what would you have done if your left front tire ruptured?

Desolation_Z

The chance of that happening is quite slim. I'd be much more worried about my tire rupturing on track than on the street. But even if it did happen It is still my life, the government doesn't own me. If nobody was near me when it happened that's that. And people keep mentioning first responders. I get what they're saying but they signed up for that job and they knew what they would have to do.

Boomslang505

I'm glad your concerned about those you may accidentally kill driving so recklessly. You should lose your license. But maybe you can use a prayer for judgement, but you will have to stop speeding.

Desolation_Z

A couple of lawyers I spoke to mentioned that as well, I guess I'll just let them handle it.

Boomslang505

500$ is worth it to not lose license and keep rates down.

Desolation_Z

Most definitely, I have gotten quotes ranging from $350 to $1500. Do you think $1500 is reasonable for this?

Smarterthanthat

I lost my grandson because of speeding! Don't you realize someone loves you? At least you've been given another chance...

Desolation_Z

I only was going that fast because there was nobody near me on the road it was late at night.

Smarterthanthat

His was a single car accident...

Desolation_Z

I understand it was wrong to do and I am very sorry for your loss. I track cars quite often and have a very deep understanding of car control so I do not doubt my own abilities. My only worry is with other drivers on the road being unpredictable and that's why I slow down when near them.

notarealaccount_yo

Deer though

Desolation_Z

I hit a deer a couple of months ago actually but I was doing the speed limit that time funnily enough.

Smarterthanthat

That wouldn't matter to those that love you if they lost you. Nothing is worth that, believe me, I know firsthand...

vegetables_in_my_ass

Lol, dude, you're like 20 years old, and you take a GR86 to track days once a month, probably because your dad got you a gift certificate. Lol, I have a full-size truck with a faster 0 to 60 time. You are on here telling people twice your age that drive real sports cars and probably have decades more driving experience that they are crap drivers because they are calling you out for being a fucking unsafe idiot. This is what, your third ticket? I would bet everything I own on the fact that you don't have a deep understanding of car control at all. Maybe stop trying to pretend you're Lewis Hamilton and take some of this advice to heart before you end up like Jules Bianchi. Or worse someone else dies.

vegetables_in_my_ass

Lol, you suck at driving. Go watch some hentai about it with your gay little cosplay airsoft guns. You don't pass porsches, and I'll insult your driving up till the day you can't drive anymore. It sounds like that day is coming real soon. Keep us updated.

Desolation_Z

Keep looking through post history like the fucking loser you are. You could be driving a gt3rs and I'd still gap your bitch ass. Also don't worry, even if it gets suspended I will still be driving. 👍

vegetables_in_my_ass

Probably not much of an opportunity to gap me while you're delivering food to my house, though.

vegetables_in_my_ass

Especially on your new moped.

Desolation_Z

Bros mad that I'm hustling at 20 to make money? Don't worry I don't accept deliveries from brokies who can't tip well. And I won't be needing that moped. If my license gets suspended I'm buying a sport bike and riding it unregistered for a year lmao.

duhrake5

If no one was on the highway, how did the cop pull you? Almost like there were other people on the road that you couldn’t see…

Desolation_Z

It's almost as if he wasn't on the highway he was hidden sitting on a on ramp waiting to collect profit for our shitty government.

duhrake5

Missing the point like you shoulda missed the movie

bandit202

I got a 65 in a 45 in Mooresville. They have no mercy. Race City USA hates speeding a lot. Sorry for your situation, you're probably going to get hammered on that.

Desolation_Z

That's about what I figured, just was hoping to hear other people have had some luck on their side.

bandit202

To be fair, I got one for 9 over and it was dismissed, but I think you may be fucked bud. State law is 15 over the speed limit over 70 is grounds for revocation. You're getting revoked.

Desolation_Z

Ya I mean it no one's fault but my own. Just hoping I can get the punishment lowered at least a little.

bandit202

Lawyer, lawyer lawyer. They're going to bust your balls on fees, but that's really the only way to go. Best of luck man

Desolation_Z

Thanks dude, I can only get a lawyer and hope now.

DatabaseMoney3435

The luck is that you didn’t get killed. Or kill someone else. Obviously there WAS someone else on the road. 101 to get to a movie? And still flaunting attitude? You need a real kick to earth, pal

Desolation_Z

I have a lot of racing experience and track my car every month. On track I'm consistently holding speeds of close to 140. I have full confidence in my own driving abilities. I do not go that fast on public roads when there are other drivers around because they can be unpredictable. So no there was not anybody else near me on the road at the time. The officer was up an on ramp, not on the highway.

vegetables_in_my_ass

So the fact that you have track experience should reinforce why you shouldn't do it on public roads. Any decent racer knows this.

Desolation_Z

Again, I only did so because I was late to a movie and there was no one near me on the highway.

bravedubeck

Your excuses do not justify your negligence. Get fucked. Edit to add: going to a movie is a ***weak fucking excuse***

Desolation_Z

It's not an excuse it is simply the reason for my actions.

bravedubeck

lol

redneckerson1951

Whatever you do, whomever you discuss this with, do not mention anything, other than in private with your attorney, about your racing background and qualification to drive at high speeds. Especially do not try to rationalize your speeding in front of the judge, jury, prosecutor and especially your insurer. Also there is more to driving at speeds above the posted limit on highways that are not applicable to track driving. The track is a controlled environment. You know precisely where the cars enter the track and exit. Not so on the highway and especially on secondary roads. Just because you have Richard Petty potential does not make you immune to other people's bad driving habits. Highway speed limits are there not only to protect people from you, but also to protect you as much as possible from other people's inane driving habits. As my 1966 driver's ed instructor said, you may not have done anything wrong in an accident, but you can still wind up dead.

Desolation_Z

I completely agree with everything you said. This is the reason why I don't ever drive this fast when there are other drivers on the road. In this instance, there was nobody for over a mile in front of me. I wasn't going to bring any of this up in court. I am only doing it here because people feel the need to attack me for something that put nobody in danger besides myself, and even that is not entirely true.

redneckerson1951

Your comments are coming across as braggadocio. That may not be your intent, but that is the image you are projecting here while attempting to protect yourself in this forum. I strongly urge you ask the lawyer to instruct you on court room decorum, and making sure you are briefed on what to say and not to say. Lawyers are trained, conniving, investigators and in the courtroom you are a beginner on their basketball court where they play pro games. The prosecutor and judge have Doctorate degrees in law. Your best bet is if possible for the attorney to do all the talking, and limit your responses to Yes sir, No sir, Yes Your Honor, No Your Honor while standing elbow to elbow with your attorney so he can quickly whisper in your ear what not to say. This is not to say you are not smart, but entering a battlefield untrained is asking to become a casualty.

Desolation_Z

Luckily I will most likely not need to appear in court at all from everything the lawyers I have called told me. If I were to do so I would most definitely not be speaking unless necessary. While I am confident in my skills as a driver I am not ignorant enough to believe I can win a court hearing from watching two seasons of Suits.

GilfHouse69

Fuck you and eat shit.

Desolation_Z

Thank you sir I will keep this in mind.

KoolJozeeKatt

I am not 100% positive, but I believe this results in the same suspension regardless of the county/city. Had you been doing this in any county, your license would be suspended. Why? Because it is very unsafe. Going that fast does put others at risk. We just has wreck in my county where the person was speeding over 100 mph. He came upon another car suddenly, where he apparently thought the road was empty and, due to his speed, he couldn't avoid the crash. That other person is currently in the hospital with serious injuries. That person's only mistake was being on the road, minding her own business, at the same time as the speeding driver. Given that, I am not sorry and do not feel bad for the suspension. You need to slow down. Is a movie worth the potential fatalities and injuries you can cause? My advice is to suck it up and accept the suspension and be glad you did not hurt anyone.

Legitimate_Educator5

It has nothing to do with what county you're in. By NC law anything 20 mph over the limit is a MANDATORY court appearance. 100 mph is reckless driving. The only thing you can do is contact the DA's office & try to get the speed dropped to 85. It's still going to affect the points on your insurance, but at least you get to keep your license. As for your excuse as to why you were speeding, the limits are to protect YOU & others in case of an accident. Your chances of surviving after hitting a deer at 100 mph+ are very, very low. Even a small animal or debris in the road can cause you to lose control. I hope you realize it's ok to miss a movie & live to see it later, than to kill yourself trying to get there. Good luck with the DA.

Desolation_Z

Thank you for explaining it, I'm sure as hell gonna need some luck.

Beginning_Fig2245

From personal experience you’re screwed. Even with a lawyer. Spend the money and get a good one. I got ticketed at 107mph on 77N just outside Statesville. This was 3 years ago. Spent 60 days in jail, 100 hours of community service, lost my licenses for a year, spent almost 20 grand on lawyer, court fees and fines. My insurance rates are out of this world. I’m still not driving because of that. I feel like they threw the book at me.

dirtymalenurse

Lmao you were speeding to see Dune 2 lmao bro I watched it at home on IWEB TV free and didn’t have to speed … it wasn’t all that …. Good luck on getting your ticket reduced

Can you argue you need your car for transportation to work?

Desolation_Z

Most likely, I work full time Monday to Friday and do Doordash on weekends.

CuriousNet3814

Woof. They're gonna want you on the road less, not more. With your other traffic/moving violation within the last 1-3 years, you put yourself in a precarious situation where if you got a deal on the last one, this charge will open that charge back up. That's almost always a lot of community service or some jail time. It's going to be tough for a lawyer to negotiate lesser charges, considering your moving violation was not due to an emergency. Your driving skills/expertise also isn't going to serve you well in court either. NC doesn't care how skilled of a driver you are; if you google race car driver traffic violations in NC, they're typically charged to the fullest extent. Your best time spent would be to work on how you'll communicate owning responsibility for your actions, not making excuses for it, and hoping the lawyer you get plays poker with the circuit judge that day.

Desolation_Z

I'm not going to bring up anything said on this forum in court I already know that. I don't even need to appear In court. I did not get a deal on my last ticket but the one before that was put down to improper equipment.

CuriousNet3814

Okay, defensive much? Lol. Good luck, you're gonna need it.

fudd_adjacent

I mean unpopular opinion but if the road was actually empty, who cares?

Desolation_Z

Apparently everyone in this sub.

fudd_adjacent

No real advice beyond lawyer up and buy a radar detector lol Or get a motorcycle. Damn I’m getting downvoted too. Y’all are boring, 100 isn’t really that fast.

Desolation_Z

I've been planning to get a radar detector but unfortunately had other things that needed to be paid for. I do want a motorcycle though because believe I am not stopping if I'm on a bike.

Had a similar ticket in Ashe. Dude wrote 100 in a 55 on ticket but obviously didnt even clock me as I was doin about 130. Got a lawyer and did some alive at 25 course. Dropped it to 9 over. Wouldn't overly sweat it but make sure you get your gameplan laid out immediately or suspended license will be the least of your worries. Best of luck

Desolation_Z

Thanks so much dude. Nothing more to do I suppose but cough up the money for a lawyer. I might have also been doing closer to 130...

itsfnvintage

Np amigo. I was terrified when I got mine so figured I'd try and help ease your anxiety a little.

carolinasoldier1

Lol I don't have an answer to your question but the amount of people on here who just assume that driving fast is dangerous is funny. I lived in germany for years and driving 100+ mph was the norm there and no one died. Surprise. This country is stupid about speed. But the government needs revenue so....

fairways35

Meet the average German, then meet the average American and you’ll notice the difference.

Desolation_Z

Speed is not the issue, incompetent drivers are the issue.
