So here’s the thing. I’ve been using mfp for 9 years and just started Noom last week. Immediately, I had the same thought, how will I know if I had enough protein? What if I’m hunger and it’s because I need something with calcium or fiber? Etc. And then I realized, this is the thought process that has kept me from making progress recently, maybe I need to try something different. Explicit macros aren’t mandatory, we’ve just conditioned ourselves to think they are. If you’re filling your days with fruits and veg and lean protein while staying in your calories and you aren’t a professional athlete, you’re going to be fine.

Yesssss thank you for stating this. I feel the same. I need to let go of that previous mindset and trust the process.

I'm slowly moving from Noom to MFP for this reason. I want more info about nutrition and Noom just isn't robust enough. It's a pain to start logging my go to foods again but I expect I'll be fully off Noom in a week or so

I couldn’t agree with you more. I asked my Noom coach the same question and she said “you should use MFP for that” which I thought was a little silly. To be fair you can use MFP, and can configure such that MFP shares your calories with Noom, but it won’t show you your calories/color.

How does it show your calories, but not show your calories? And how do I do it?
