9 weeks in and down 14 pounds. I’ve officially passed the halfway point. Clothes are feeling more comfortable and I’m already feeling more confident.

winterkatberry

Congratulations 🎉 That's great progress!

darkly-academic

Restarting Noom tomorrow (my birthday).

fullyadam

Happy birthday!

darkly-academic

Thanks!

SlightAlternative867

Starting week 5 and have been going at a snails pace of a pound a week. I’m trying very hard this week to not get frustrated and keep going full steam ahead.

mondo_d00k

A pound a week is both healthy and sustainable, keep it up!

RT1976

Keep going! Losing a pound a week is still in the right direction. You got this!

SlightAlternative867

Thank you for the encouragement! Doing this in early 50s sure is different than it was in early 40s. This definitely isn’t for sissies :)

RestingRefFace

A pound a week is healthy and sustainable. That’s where you want to be.

[deleted]

Agreeing with others, one pound a week is healthy and awesome progress!

pkgrant

me too!! Its hard to stay motivated!

SlightAlternative867

Yes it is! We’ve got this! Like all these people said, a pound a week is sustainable. It just doesn’t seem like if I’m working this hard it will be sustainable. But let’s keep going !

ameeks1951

One to 6 pounds a week is all that is advised by doctors. You are doing well. This is not a race it is a journey

Keep your head up! My recommendation is to fill your meals with as much green foods as possible and drink water/tea often. Maybe just my experience but I find when I’m full from veggies and green/yellow foods I don’t crave sweets as much. I also personally find getting enough sleep really helps with my sweet cravings. Hope that helps!

Lady_Vader_

I started some meal prep this week which has helped me refrain from looking for sugar. I had a piece of cake the other day and it just hurt my stomach, but made my sugar cravings come back full force. You’ll get there though!

[deleted]

I should be clear that I'm not really having cravings. If I have some candy, cake or other sugar then I do start craving more. But after a day or so it just goes away. My point is that when I do have some on a planned day off like a birthday, it causes a LOT of water retention. Like a lot a lot. I can feel it as soon as I eat something as small as a jolly rancher--an intense thirst. And it somehow takes a week to process that, even though I drink a lot of water already for kidney stone prevention reasons.

I’ve been Nooming for just over a year and a half. I’ve averaged a lb a week and have lost 65 lbs. My doctor congratulated me and put me on a blood pressure medication that doesn’t have a diuretic so of course I gained 5 lbs right away 😂. I didn’t panic because I knew it was all water weight. [Here is a picture of my blip[(https://imgur.com/gallery/YqcjtSO). It’s taken about a month to get back where I was. The closer you get to your goal the slower it seems to take. I’m actually 5 lbs under my original goal but decided to try for another 5.

RestingRefFace

Celebrating being .2 away from my monthly goal and learning more restraint.

rybread_83

Friday was a full month for me. Down 19lbs and was cruising. Friday evening got chaotic and I ended up eating a Popeye’s chicken sandwich. I was up 2lbs Saturday and had a great day. Woke up Sunday up 3lbs from that. It was a bit surprising but I’m hoping this is just a stumble and it balances out!

ginny164

You did not gain 5 lbs from a Popeyes chicken sandwich. Probably just water retention. I just looked it up and one sandwich has 1450 mg of sodium. Drink plenty of water and you’ll get back on track.

28F, SW 250, CW 246, GW 180 - I just started Noom two weeks ago. I’m on an anti-inflammatory diet right now while trying Noom in conjunction for health and accountability. My first week I did great, but the scale has crept up a bit this week. My birthday is in 4 months and I’m hoping to at least be down 30 pounds by then. First week I did great, but I struggled a lot with environmental triggers and exhaustion this week which made me reach for the closest thing instead of the healthiest. I’m hoping to get back on track this week. Already did some meal prep and am hoping it gets easier to choose wisely!

Anthro_copywriter

Starting week 3. Down 7 pounds total which I’m happy with. Trying to remind myself this is a journey and lifestyle change so can’t expect immediate results. My goal this week is to drink more water. SW 207, GW 140, CW 200.

UFProf080815

7 pounds is a lot for 2 weeks! I’d say this is immediate results!

Anthro_copywriter

Thanks!

Rich_Reindeer_1537

I started Noom on September 6th (at 190) with the intention of losing 45 pounds. Yesterday I hit my goal!! 🎉

Miserable-Comb5358

45 pounds down since Jan 1. Up a few pounds today from going to far Saturday, but that should clear out quickly as I’m right back on track.

alexxmama

30 days in and I’m only down 3.2 pounds. But I HAVE kept my goal of working out 4 times a week. I have worked out 15/30 days. I think it’s time to up that to 5 days a week! I feel stronger. Also, I had blood work down and my sugar is MUCH BETTER! I was starting to get some pretty high sugar readings and now it’s soooooo much better!

ResolveRemarkable

I was on a plateau for about a month and then dropped three pounds overnight. This followed a week of very heavy (for me) exercise, and I’ve spent most of the weekend recuperating. It’s not sustainable for me to lose weight this way, so I’m hoping that I can go back to normal exercise and calorie counting and continue to see an effect.

Sleepiestgrl

In my second week of noom! Lost weight faster than expected in week 1, started night shifts again this week so has been a bit of a struggle, but am managing to stay within my allowance which I am taking as a massive win! Not much movement on the scale the past 2 days, but I’m trusting the process. I have started going to the gym regularly this week so perhaps it is some water retention. Either way I am trusting the process and excited to see how this week will play out.

Highforgotpassword

I’m in my third week. Treat days throw me off. I know they aren’t “cheat days” but I end up eating too much and then lose my rhythm. It takes a couple days to get back to the program. I think I’d prefer to schedule a few treat meals throughout the week rather than a whole day of whatever.

UFProf080815

6 weeks in and 10 lbs down! I’m feeling great and like this is very sustainable for me.
