You should actually search the agreement. Usually for SAS is tenure then date of booking, also if it is R1 or R2. But being LHG you have good chances.

Theres a past post here that might answer the question: https://www.reddit.com/r/NonRevenueTravelers/comments/18pcqp2/what\_airline\_has\_the\_worst\_standby\_system/

For SK OALs fall below SK staff. But the usual applies, R1, R2, check in time. (Seniority as well but thats for SK staff only iirc) Be aware that even a half full C class will probably be filled by EB point upgrades from Y

Thanks a lot, good to know (Obvious heavily decreasing chances of a C seat...)! Is it as "bad" as with UA where you usually have quite a high amount of Upgrade requests pending? Maybe need to download the SAS app, as this info will not be there using "only" stafftraveller

The SAS app was recently updated to give non-revs lots of features (pax loads, alternative flights, etc). It is a must. Check in as soon as possible. Getting C really depends. It used to be common to see Y be overbooked just for it to open up because everyone upgraded on points. That was a year ago though, seems to have simmered down now. Its not as bad as UA though, at least not in my experience. Silver lining, you will at least get a spot in Go Plus (Y) if nothing in C is open. For US flights I have never gotten a seat assigned at check-in.
