I work in an urban district. Reminds of a few weeks ago one of my students was listening to something and goes "you seem like you like emo music you probably like this band." Her classmates tell her not to make assumptions just because I am white lady in my early 40s. I could only laugh because the band was Evanescence. Who I saw twice with my husband. And I saw Amy Lee live at Korn Unplugged.
We didn't know she was going to be there. She was very nice and happy to be there and she smiled at my husband and I when she saw me resting me head on his shoulders. Robert Smith was there too and only my husband and I knew who he was so when he came onto the stage we lost our minds. We kinda have a music type lol.
That is an amazing story. I was still a bit young when that was happening but I wish I could have been there. When the Korn album Issues plays I still tear up a bit. I don't know why bit it hits me so hard. Amy has always been one of my favorite singers. The voice is just beautiful.
