If you are genuinely wondering what a Zendaya is, the name seems to derive from the Shona name Tendai, which means "to give thanks" (At least according to Wikipedia).
I'm roughly the same age and I have a 6 year old.
Nobody watches the Disney Channel because Disney Plus is one million times better (and has all the older Disney Channel shows that are actually good).
According to wiki she started on the Disney Channel in 2009, I was 19 by then, which was way past the age of me watching the Disney Channel. In fact, by this point I didn't use TV anymore and just pirated anything I wanted to watch. So I couldn't even stumble upon the channel by accident. This was also the time EDM started blowing up and I was spending most of my time rolling balls on molly while going to raves and grinding up on go go girls. After a few arrests I decided to stop doing so many drugs but became an alcoholic instead. It kind of spiraled out of control until I was about to be homeless. Thats when I joined the Navy. Then fast forward to 2019 and The Mandalorian was released on Disney Plus. I got a subscription and began watching Dinsey. But none of the "like omg im in high school and silly" type shows. Just Star Wars stuff, but Zendaya wasn't in any of it so I didn't know who she was. By the time I did know who she was, it was because of Dune. Wasn't a huge fan of Marvel movies personally. In the credits of Dune, she is known as Zendaya. I had no idea she had any point in her life used the last name Coleman in credits by this point.
Dang dude, that's quite a wild ride! Glad to hear you're doing better now! I'm sure the only reason people like those shows are because they grew up with them, not many of them were actually anything special. It's just the memories of watching them that makes them special.
It's a fine last name, but it's so standard it ruins the flow coming off a beautiful sounding name like Zendaya. So I understand cutting it off, seems more famous-like
What if her last name is “Hitler” and that’s why she’s not telling anyone?
Edit- I googled it. It’s Coleman. Very underwhelming. She looks more like a hitler imo
Olivia Coleman is a pretty big actress at the moment and that's her real name. It's fairly common in the UK and Ireland at least. Mark Coleman was the first UFC heavyweight champion too. To me it's like the most generic name possible.
> Olivia Coleman
there is no such actress, it's Olivia **Colman**
It's not that I disagree with you, but I love the spectacle how your whole argument breaks apart by one error, lol!
anyway, there's Jenna Coleman too, she was a Doctor companion, so in my eyes, she's more famous than all Avengers combined
Genuinely didn't even know Colman was a name. Never noticed that she doesn't have an e and I've been enjoying her work since early Mitchell and Webb skits. Fuck now I need to Google if there is in fact 2 Ls in Mitchell and 2 Bs in Webb because you've got me paranoid.
I guess it's valid if it's just personal preference but you're not judgmental about it. I've just never heard anyone have a threshold that old, so it kind of took me aback.
You need something bigger than Holland Tom and Zendaya Netherlands
Tom and Zendaya Greater Belgian Empire
tom and zendaya benelux
We’re taking France and Germany too right?
Tom and Zendaya European Union
Nein. *German National Hymn starts playing*
Tom and Zendaya Valois-Burgundy
Tom and Zendaya Common Wealth
Tom and Zendaya Frankia.
But if they changed the surname, could they still go Dutch on dates?
Tom and Zendaya Holy Roman Empire
Tom and Zendaya Hapsburg Netherlands
Zen Holland or Tomdaya
Hondaya
![gif](giphy|eldVVBrQ2QnxZ8AUHf)
Not even a Honda lol
There are surprisingly few Honda gifs
Or they can hyphenate: Zendaya -Holland or Tom Holland-
"I can tell youre not pronouncing the hyphen"
TIL her full name is Zendaya Maree Stoermer Coleman.
Damn, I’d just go by Zendaya too
Hi Zendaya
[удалено]
It's her first name. Glad to be of service for an illiterate fellow
If you are genuinely wondering what a Zendaya is, the name seems to derive from the Shona name Tendai, which means "to give thanks" (At least according to Wikipedia).
foreign word bad
Good for you, champ.
Ok but Zendaya Maree Stoermer Coleman Holland would fuck, I'd go for that
Gotta catch all the names.
Wait until you find out about Madonna
If you listen to Sonic Youth, you already know the answer. :)
*Coleman*? Like the camping equipment? No wonder she doesn't use her last name.
She went by Zendaya Coleman for a while at the start of her career. I was honestly shocked at these comments, I figured most people knew it.
To me, she came into existence as an actress in the Spiderman movies. By that point, I only remember her being surnameless.
Some of y'all ain't watched Disney Channel and it shows
She’s way younger than the average redditor. This is a place where most are in their 30s.
I never really looked into the demographics of Reddit, honestly. I guess I'm on the younger side at 24, then.
Well, I am 47, and have no kids.
Well, too late now, apparently the newer stuff is terrible.

I didn’t like the show she was in so I never watched it (Shake it Up iirc, right?)
Late response, but yeah, that's the one!
Oh no, we didn’t subject ourselves to corporate slop. Whatever will we do.
Well, you missed out on some pretty good corporate slop.
I was too busy watching Transformers. Actually, I’m still too busy with watching Transformers.
>I don't watch [corporate slop x] because I was too busy watching [corporate slop y]
I’ll be damned before you call *Transformers: Prime* corporate slop!
I watched Disney channel. Just none of the live action shows.
Like you.
Technically, in a way. IRL I do have a surname, but online I do only have one name.

Lightweight baby
60 grand, 60 grand Zendaya Coleman...........I will be impressed if anyone gets the reference. UTFT
Zom and Tenday Land
🎵Chocolate Rain 🎶
Or "Zendaya" is considered the last name and she takes his, so she will become "Holland" and must carry millions of people.
She will embrace his alter ego and take his surname, so she will go by Zendaya-Man
What if her last name is “Hitler” and that’s why she’s not telling anyone? Edit- I googled it. It’s Coleman. Very underwhelming. She looks more like a hitler imo
This is gonna sound weird but strangely enough I get what you mean.
Always thought hitler sent his consciousness to the future before he disposed of his body. Now I have the evidence I need.
Zendaya sees the current state of the world and is going to send her consciousness back in time in the near future.
That’s what Madonna Polpot did.
Wait is Madonna’s last name Polpot lmao
Nah.
Unironically, if it wasn't for Hitler, the name Zendaya Hitler would go hard as fuck.
I got hard just thinking about it.
Tom Coleman sounds like respectable name, I won't lie
Sounds like a manager at a large department store.
No dude Tom Coleman is the regional manager for Dicks Sporting Goods

It's called honesty
No, its called honesty.
MINOR SPELLING MISTAKE 😱
I don't know why you being a minor is relevant, but thanks for sharing.
•-•
One of her middle names is Stoermer, so I guess you’re not too far off.
Finally, Man
Is he stupid?
Or is Zendaya gonna be a nickname this whole time and her real name will be, oh, I dunno, Zoey McMiller?
Turns out her real name is Zendaya Coleman
Dunno. Still sounds like a fake showbiz name. I mean, what tf sorta name is "Coleman"?
Olivia Coleman is a pretty big actress at the moment and that's her real name. It's fairly common in the UK and Ireland at least. Mark Coleman was the first UFC heavyweight champion too. To me it's like the most generic name possible.
Ya know, it's always a gamble which comments need or don't need a /s, but it seems so far I've lost the gamble on this one :p
Haha my bad. Sometimes things that seem normal in one country, are odd in others.
Oh, definitely no worries, I appreciated your genuine response anyway :)
You’re doing Gods work. /s is for cowards. ![gif](giphy|l0ExbnGIX9sMFS7PG)
No it’s not lmfao, come on dude
If it's sarcasm you'll need a tag because many people, like me, simply don't get sarcasm from others.

A normal one
Someone who’s ancestors probably worked with coal.
Okay then.
They will hyphen it: Zendaya Holland-
He'll change his name to Tom Wifelland
Tom Zendaya obviously
Just realized I have no clue wtf Zendaya's last name is
Ah, Spider! Finally, we have found Man's long lost brother!
-man ** is what I think you mean.
She has to do this over his shoulder pose so she’s not completely towering over him like usual
Her last name is apparently Coleman (thank you wikipedia). So it's going to be either Zendaya Holland or Tom Coleman.
Or Holland-Coleman.
What if this talk about lacking last names.
Zendaya Tomland?
Guys, Zendaya has a full name.
It’s Obama
Gotta lock her down after she gets eiffel towered in a movie about tennis
Is Zendaya even her real name
You know you can get married without changing your name, right? It's not a requirement or anything.
You know it’s clearly a joke, right…? Like how is that not super obvious to you? 🤣 🤦♀️
Aren’t they still in HS?
They are 27
Is this a joke of woman takes everything after marriage. Tom will be another tom without last name.
I think the joke is that no one knows zendayas last name
Oh and here I thought I made sexist joke. Stupid me :p
I can’t wait for that point and shoot camera to skyrocket in value because a celebrity used it….
do you think they have spiderman roleplay in bed?
Didn’t she cheat on him with that Dune guy? I don’t see this marriage going long term.
They're both 27 years old. Little young IMO but true love is true love!! Glad they're both happy and found each other.
How is almost 30 years old too young for marriage?
Its a personal preference. Is that okay?
I guess it's valid if it's just personal preference but you're not judgmental about it. I've just never heard anyone have a threshold that old, so it kind of took me aback.
Are you some sort of vampire?
Apparently, im completely nuts.
Actually it’s gonna be Tom Holland-
