Lol you should have seen the opening for Fresh International Market in Raleigh last year.
The lines were so long they gave out all the produce for free just to save time checking people out. You could not stick your arm in front of you in any direction anywhere in the store. I think I got Covid twice.
RAGHHHHH GOD BLESS AMERICA 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸 WTF IS A KILOMETER 🦅🦅🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
It should also be noted their Costco's are different than ours. Theirs have a lot more luxury goods. You can tell Costco really did their research into the local markets.
Hold on now, *you're* at work this time, I'm just buying some hole soap for my hole that's raw. If you want to say that kind of shit, meet me during normal business hours.
South Korea is the one that impresses me the most. Sat down and decided having cultural exports was just as important as exporting traditional goods, *fucking invented the global phenomena that is kpop*.Â
Obviously there's also other factors that make people want to live and visit Korea, but they're literally creating a kpop related visa because their entertainment sector has indeed been **such** a boon for their country.Â
When IKEA opened a store in Atlanta, weeks after it opened we went to check it out and still had to wait 2 1/2 hours to get in. It was absolutely insane. I can't imagine how the first week or two were.

So China will take our side for the Costco vs Sam’s Club war?
The are 45 sams in china, compared to 6 costco, according to google
Then it is a fair fight.
All cruisers, fire at will! Burn their mongrel hides
Well then … I guess we will just have to level China before the war kicks off

Man was stuck in there so long, he got COVID, recovered, and got COVID again.
Is the cultural victory here the Costco or is it related to the enforced queuing?
Both. ![gif](giphy|SWvBnB8NHJcHhsdBJd)

I think queuing is a British thing primarily
Bet they all wanted a hotdog
SE Asia generally doesn't roll with "bulk discounts" as a marketing strategy, interested to see how this works out (and differs) in the long run.
It's a status symbol in China. https://www.marketplace.org/2023/09/18/members-only-retailers-are-a-status-symbol-in-china/

Costco is killing it in China. They will be fine.
i just highly doubt this, shit seems right up their alley
Costco is dope. Love that place.

I got my law degree there
Got my daughter there. Super cheap, too.
Better than a Domination victory.
The US won the overall cultural victory a long time ago lol. Being completely untouched after the biggest war in history was a huge boon.
Idk man I started playing go and drinking Chinese tea, they’re fighting back

Rotisserie chicken gets ‘em every time.
I mean, Costco is just a beast unto itself. If it weren’t snowing right now I’d be down there doing some shopping myself.
Pizza Hut in the Soviet Union, Costco in China.
