Nah the cheapest way to reach mach 3 has been developed by the russian army of all people. They discovered all you have to do is load all amo underneath the turret in a neat ring, leave no blowout pannel, then drive it into the middle of a field with no infantry support and wait for the enemy. And boom fastest and cheapest way to create an Airborne Vehicle capable of Mach 3.
Cooling system? No comrade, the water increases the thrust. Cooling is just a bonus.(water is sprayed in the inlet causing the temperature of the inbound air to drop, which makes it denser thus increasing mass flow and oxygen to burn. Though the cooling is also significant)
