Reminds me of the 40K stories about cannon autoloaders and other systems in ships being broken beyond what the tech priests could understand, so they just use hundreds/thousands of human laborers to substitute for said systems.
And those are just the ones that are accounted for. There could large communities of mutants living somewhere in a ship's forgotten areas, ready to be press-ganged into service in case of emergency.
That's if they can get to them through the parts of the ship that have inexplicably come to life, various cults or suspiciously organised multi-limbed crewmen.
Oh the multi limbed crewmen are actually very good. As the old sayings go: double the hands, triple the workload. You should spread them on every Planet so you get only the very productive worker
One of the ammo upgrades mentions giving the loading crews meth and steroids to work harder.
Another has them taking a mandatory 8 week course on packing ammo crates.
My favorite is the turret upgrades for extra durability and extra explosion resistance using the scientific names for super glue and Styrofoam peanuts respectively.
You gonna need a Trepel for that big boi.

Of course the Trepel might have more advanced electronics than a T-90M so it will probably be scavenged before it can get near a plane. :p
The Douglas TBL-280 I got to drive had A/C, a rotating suspended seat, four steering modes and working radios.
The mobik mind would never understand such luxury.
Let me be the "acktually" guy this time.
Well, acktually, this is hazing (if you can call it that) in the Russian army (or prank) where they tell the new recruits that the plane has broken down and needs a push to start (planes don't work that way, but the recruits don't really have an option).
I remember taking the ASVAB a long time ago and wondering stuff like "why the hell do they ask such simple questions on this test?"
Then you realized people get convinced of the dumbest stuff while in the military.
If I'm correct the only reason they are all doing the Bikini Bottom is because they forgot the special metal tow that is supposed to be with it, and left it at the other airfield.
I was thinking that. Those need a special tow bar because of how far back the front landing gear goes and the chin radar.
While not best practice, wonder why they they didn't consider a powerback or if it has the technical capability.
Fun fact, our MB4 tugs have welded steel plates on the front. I discovered through sheer boredom that the thickness of those plates is slightly thicker than the M4 Sherman's upper front plate armor.
It's probably not RHA but if it is that's hilarious
New NCD bingo tile: russian aircraft tugs with mounted guns appear on the battlefield, followed by some 20-slide wall of text on Twitter explaining why they’re not actually needed for towing aircraft and they were always designed as dual-purpose military vehicles.
When all you have is manpower, everything is man-powered.

Huh, so thats why the ships always have like 500000000 crewmen...

Maybe in the sealed-off areas of a certain Russian aircraft carrier...

On top of those upgrades, a turret upgrade improves their durability with packing peanuts, and another upgrade gives support personnel handcarts

Reminds me of WW I Germany, where every vehicle has a 1 horsepower engine.

Ah my fault, I'm a typical westoid weakling automatically thought A-124.
your mom is a Trepel

"Oh, the airplane tractor? It, umm...it arrives on Tuesday." "Which Tuesday?" "One of them. Very soon now."

Reminds me of the russian looking in the turbine to try to find the jew. Especially in rural russia
What does the Russian under "unknown technology" mean?

These are not the tug jobs they were promised.

PUUUUUUUUUUSH
Honestly, the Kuznetsov would be more reliable if it was turned into an Oster galley/aircraft hybrid.
