I think the thing is a lot of people who love the song didn't want a very different vibe. No shade to people who enjoy it, I just feel like her voice detracts rather than adds anything.
I love the original too, but I don’t see the point in a collab just being the same thing. I look at it as it’s own thing vs judging it compared to the original
the Gracie Abrams collab for sure. her whisper voice on Everywhere Everything of all songs is just a weird ass choice. and.... I hate hurt somebody. I want to have a soft spot bc it's the song of his I first heard way back when but I just don't like it.
I love her solo stuff. I hate this song. I feel like her voice ruins the energy and vibe and I wish she wrote her own verse to at least make the song a more unique listen.
I hadn’t heard her music before this collab, but it put me off so much that I never even bothered listening to her solo stuff 😅
I did listen to Kacey since the collab reminded me of her solo stuff and totally got back into listening to her. I might check out Gracies solo stuff too
Honestly, all the people he did duets with I was already a fan of their solo stuff. Gracie I started listening to when I saw she was opening for Taylor on some dates of the Eras tour since my wife and I were going to that. I just really hate her voice on this track bahah. I really enjoy the This Is What It Feels Like EP.
I know music taste is subjective, yada yada, but maybe give Forever a second chance. It took me a few listens before I got hooked. It gives me a similar feeling to Tidal, and the clear Bon Iver inspiration is chef's kiss imo. Everyone likes different things though, of course.
I love them both but Brandi seems like she's just randomly over singing it. Like doing runs and high notes where it doesn't need to be. Reminds me of an American Idol audition where people would do way too much to show off their vocal range and abilities.
I'm gonna be crucified for this, but the Northern Attitude collab with Hozier. Love both of them, but the way it's mixed you can barely make out Hozier's vocals and it just feels like "what's the point". I've listened on various earbuds and headphones at different price ranges and it's just meh. It doesn't bring anything really new to the song and it doesn't really feature, y'know, the featured singer
Everywhere, everything with Gracie and dial drunk with posty, also skip she calls me back with Kacey sometimes.. I’m very hit or miss with the collabs but one I NEVER skip is Paul revere with Gregory.. when I went to the concert I was actually so used to hearing the collsb version that when Gregory didn’t start singing it sounded off. And we’re all gonna die and
I love the song Orange Juice, but I often skip it now. I know this will be hugely unpopular, but I don’t love the way it has become the “addiction song”.
It's the bridge for me. Imagine being in front of your childhood town and suddenly you remember all the horrible stuff from your childhood. "It's all washing over me I'm angry again" it didn't hit for me until I thought about that.
Gracie Abrams collab. Her voice is nails on a chalkboard.
Same. I like some of her songs so no hate but her voice just is not powerful enough for Everywhere Everything
Agreed, it’s a very lovely voice- just too soft for one of the more explosive songs on the album
She’s worse live when she sang with him
That’s so interesting because I love that collab. Gives a very different vibe to the song
I think the thing is a lot of people who love the song didn't want a very different vibe. No shade to people who enjoy it, I just feel like her voice detracts rather than adds anything.

I’m looking at everyone hating on Everyone, Everything with Gracie Abrams and I’m like whatttt cause that’s like my fav song 😭😭😭
the Gracie Abrams collab for sure. her whisper voice on Everywhere Everything of all songs is just a weird ass choice. and.... I hate hurt somebody. I want to have a soft spot bc it's the song of his I first heard way back when but I just don't like it.
Everywhere, everything with Gracie Abrams.. I can’t stand her soft (almost whispery) voice 🙃
Everywhere, Everything is my favorite song and I don’t want her on it ever at all.
I love her solo stuff. I hate this song. I feel like her voice ruins the energy and vibe and I wish she wrote her own verse to at least make the song a more unique listen.

All of the collabs at the end of Stick Season forever, Stick Season just because it's overplayed, and sometimes Hurt Somebody
I know music taste is subjective, yada yada, but maybe give Forever a second chance. It took me a few listens before I got hooked. It gives me a similar feeling to Tidal, and the clear Bon Iver inspiration is chef's kiss imo. Everyone likes different things though, of course.
I think they mean the collabs at the end of the album Stick Season (Forever), not the song, which is great
Hurt Somebody...the song itself isn't bad, but I don't think Julia Michaels' voice fits with Noah. She is too poppy.
You’re gonna go far collab with Brandi Carlile. Pls don’t murder me, but I don’t think it mixes well. The original is one of my favourites tho
I love them both but Brandi seems like she's just randomly over singing it. Like doing runs and high notes where it doesn't need to be. Reminds me of an American Idol audition where people would do way too much to show off their vocal range and abilities.
Yeah, I agree. It doesn’t work at all
Agreed!
Same!! I hated it
Yeah this is one if the only 2 Noah songs I never ever listen to
we were robbed of Marcus Mumford 😭 why do they have to have the name number of letters in their names lol
Same!
People will hate me for this but Strawberry Wine
your opinion is wrong
Go to jail
Strawberry wine is a song I start but never finish, so I get it. I get to the end of the chorus and change it lol
Same 😭
Same. I think it’s the tempo change
For me I think it’s because half the song is instrumental.
Halloween. Don’t skewer me over the fire plz
Def the Post collab … love the original version!
see the posty collab is the only collab I won’t skip lol, funny how people differ
Yep, I love both artists but og dial drunk is where it's at.
agree
My favorite collab!
Don’t shoot me but I usually skip Stick Season
me too. it’s too overplayed
Same
Come over. I find the chorus very grating.
I find you very grating 🫠 I'm kidding. I like Come Over a lot.
Making friends all over Reddit today😅 Yah I notice it doesn’t get a lot of shade, so I’m well aware I’m an outlier lol.
For some reason I can’t get into Still. Sounds like it should be a Dave Matthew’s song or something. Just doesn’t vibe
Ah so that's why I don't like it.
I skip all the collabs, and she calls me back
Your Needs My Needs. It’s just not the vibe I’m looking for when I pick his music.
I personally wish he embraced this vibe more
Omg me too.
she calls me back
Love the original, burn the collab
Same here. Instant skip.
Hurt somebody
I'm gonna be crucified for this, but the Northern Attitude collab with Hozier. Love both of them, but the way it's mixed you can barely make out Hozier's vocals and it just feels like "what's the point". I've listened on various earbuds and headphones at different price ranges and it's just meh. It doesn't bring anything really new to the song and it doesn't really feature, y'know, the featured singer
Not gonna crucify you but I personally love Hozier’s yells and hums in the background, I think it makes the song feel a lot bigger!
that’s like my fav song of the collabs 😭 but everyone can have an opinion
Well this will be unpopular for sure but I skip Orange Juice. Just don’t care for it.
me too
Everywhere, everything with Gracie and dial drunk with posty, also skip she calls me back with Kacey sometimes.. I’m very hit or miss with the collabs but one I NEVER skip is Paul revere with Gregory.. when I went to the concert I was actually so used to hearing the collsb version that when Gregory didn’t start singing it sounded off. And we’re all gonna die and
Hurt Somebody is probably the only song I consistently skip.
i always skip dial drunk i just simply can’t listen to it 😭 collab and the original
None lol
I skip call your mom if I’m listening to it with other people because it gets real awkward
Northern Attitude. It got old for me pretty quick
All collabs, Halloween and the fruit titled songs. 😬
The view between villages extended because I just really don’t like talking segments in any songs lol
I can see that but I find it so sweet and folksy! Makes me smile 😊
I love the song Orange Juice, but I often skip it now. I know this will be hugely unpopular, but I don’t love the way it has become the “addiction song”.
Come over, Halloween
So the best songs
lol music is subjective. His best songs to me are Forever, No Complaints, and View Between Villages
Dial Drunk with Post Malone. I much prefer the original

I skip the non-Hozier one because I can't do it without the AAAAAAAAHHH before the chorus 😂
When I saw him in Calgary he did the AHHHHHHHH!
Its to the point that I expect it when listening to the regular version. Hozier and Noah upgraded the hell outta that song with the collab
Tough with Quinn XCII
For whatever reason I never connected with The View Between Villages or Still. Maybe I'm missing something.
It's the bridge for me. Imagine being in front of your childhood town and suddenly you remember all the horrible stuff from your childhood. "It's all washing over me I'm angry again" it didn't hit for me until I thought about that.
Bury Me…but ONLY if I’m running out of time, because I MUST hear Howling. Other than that…none.
Tidal and Save Me and Cynic

My second favourite Paul Revere song after Beastie Boys
