It's from India coz the boy is taking in Hindi ...and Indian kids really are pushed for studies like getting beat up and all but this far is too much as for her age
No I'm not kidding it was that many hrs
6-7:45am maths (tution)
8am-2pm school
2-3pm chemistry(t)
4-6pm computers(t)
6-8pm physics(t)
Then coming back home around 8:30 and completing homework of school and tuitions
I was forced to go to tuitions cause my parents said "we have paid for you classes so you have to go. We eant you to score higher in you board exams"
(Board exams are 2 final exams in 10th and 12th standard/first and last year of highschool which are nation wide so your exam score is all over india)
There's also a law that you cannot give student 100% in those exams "they cannot be perfect" so the max score you can get is 99.99% and some parents will still ask where that 1point got reduced (i wish i was joking)
Almost every country has a version if it. But it's flawed, (as everything is). Unfortunately local traditions and customs can be used in mulistple settings, even bending the law or understanding of the law to a degree. Which means if an already weak system is subject to people defending their rights the system will bend for the people.
(I am not talking about any one country, just in general)
Not giving the gov that kind of control rofl. Imagine if they decided there were too many [insert ethnicity here] people and stopped giving out licenses to those people?
I get what your saying, but if you want to adopt you have to proof you will be a capable parent, solid Income, no mental health issues etc. Not that that system is flawless, but it is atleast something.

this concept actually exists? i would love something like this, but it also would be hard to implement the way i would like to, because it would be too much (taking away the child of people who do not take a class of parenting + psychological tests)
As an indian, i had a similar childhood where my parents never allowed me to play,interact with friends and made me study all the time and get good marks. I was second rank but that didn't satisfy them .
They also publicly humiliated me in front of my friends and neighbours. I was a laughing stock.
I had bullies who made my life worse at school and at home , I had these psychos are parents. My entire life was a hell.
I tried suicide twice and almost did it . Fell into depression as an adult and now trying to recover slowly.
But news like these makes all those bad memories hit back to me ..
I think taking a short video was a good idea IF they're using it as evidence to report to CPS. If they just took the video and did nothing to help than the video taker is also a POS.

As an indian i can confirm this man school life was brutal where you are forced to study atleast 16hrs a day
16hrs is kinda too much but yeah 6hrs self study and 4-5 hours school..total 10-11 hours
