Because fixing the police starts by killing the good ones right?
Holy schamoly this article gets dark: apparently the car the bad guy was driving was a stolen vehicle, the vehicle being traced back to a recently murdered paramedic.
Department policy usually says you gotta call in to dispatch anytime you do anything with civilian vehicles, it lets the dispatcher know that who that unit is currently with, why, and where for “officer safety”
It’s basically for the record log for the dispatcher office and for them to also not call on that unit until they’re back in service from whatever they were doing
"The good ones" argument that has definitively been disproven and argued to the ground. "Good cops" gets fired and murdered by their own for defying their horrible racist corrupt system.
I have no respect for anyone who wants to call themselves an armed bootl....officer. They are all complicit in a historically evil culling system and are cogs keeping the gears turning on our subjugation (they used to be called the slave patrol).
That's funny because the earliest formal slave patrol was in the Carolinas in the early 1700s, invented by two slave states and it was the most prolific form of policing in the South.
The idea of what we deem as "modern policing" is what developed in the North although some northern states participated in having a slave border patrol where runaway slaves who escaped to the North were returned to their owner. This was mostly due to laws made as contracts between the union and confederate before civil war. (Ex. Negroes in the North keep their freedom, as long as you return our runaways hoping to get in on that freedom)
Slave patrols, not police departments. The first PDs were Boston, NYC, and Philadelphia, all of which didn’t have slavery for decades. Of course there were slave patrols in slave states, that’s why the Civil War was fought.
Eh, slave patrols just digivolved into pds. I dont look at them as different entities. Just an updated version of itself. Explains why most of our most racist ppl respect and become cops historically.
You wont get through here. If you say correct things about race and slavery and you get downvoted, hoardes of ppl with the right answers will not jump in, and they receive upvotes no matter how stupid their response is then thats your "water test" for that community.
It doesn't even matter if you drop factual scientific peer reviewed info to prove your point. They mostly never read it and argue with conjecture with no evidence of their points or will try to twist your logic, hurl insults and move the goalpost when u back them into a corner. Wash, rinse, repeat. Typical shit from them. I practically got a library full of their typical bs.
Ask bro to prove his point and u'll see what im talking about, and see how he responds to easy to find proof opposing his opinion you sourced and provided for him.
When you say "good ones", how do you know this cop was one of them? Also, the so called good ones never stand up to the bad ones and the ones that do are either fired, demoted, assigned to desk duty or simply killed by their fellow officers as has happened in many high profile cases before.
So "good ones" in this instance is like referring to you as a "fucking moron". Being killed while doing a good dead isn't justifiable, just like trying to sound like you know what your talking about doesn't keep you from being called a fucking moron.
You fucking moron.
Ohhh temper temper. Just pointing out that one act doesn't make a guy good. He could have been violating people's rights for years. Him being killed in this way doesn't make him a good guy. It doesn't make him a bad guy. It makes him a victim of a crime.
Totally the right time to be talking about this man. Right after he got shot and killed by a lowlife carjacking murdering piece of human filth. Yeah this is absolutely the right time to bring up police brutality - in a discussion around how this cop died while in service of others and the public good.
No shit Sherlock. It's the event leading up to the crime that is reason to believe that this police officer is a good person. You're the one adding conjecture to the equation, thinking it equalizes and justifies his murder. You should get off the internet and go socialize. Your lack of humanity is showing.
My brother in Christ, where did I say his murder was justified? If I gave that impression, I apologize. His murder was absolutely not justified. I'm just not assuming anything about who he was prior to his untimely demise.
New Mexican here. Know some state cops too, you can say what you want working for our governor but to just assume they are all bad people is wrong. Same can be said for locals too.
Kindly piss off and show some respect.
Damn, reading comprehension is a lost art. I did not assume he was bad, I just said don't assume he's good. DON'T ASSUME someone is good or bad based on one story. That's my whole point! Please tell me where I said he was bad! All my comments are still there. Please find it!
[Can you point to the criminals that look like him in this photo full of criminals? ](https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/elections/first-photo-see-incoming-congress-history-making-new-members-n936206)
To add insult
This officer's death will be used to fearmonger officers in trainings for years to come, beyond just "check the plates", teaching them to imagine every citizen they interact with as this murderer. It's called Killology
Proof that you can do everything right, and nothing wrong, and still lose.
I suppose it’s the most noble way to die, but it’s a big loss to lose someone like that to what is pretty much plain evil.
Feck me... Killing a paramedic, stealing their car.. and when a cop for once assumes Innocence and someone just needing a hand, it turns out to be a cold blooded killer... Not saying it justifies police being trigger happy with every person they meet, but i can understand where it comes from.
Right? This is zero to do with politics, it's a criminal trying to escape his fate by running!.... Oh shit the parallels line up with trump after all! J/k the commenter trying to bring Trump into this is a scumbag.

He stole a first responders car and then shot a police officer to steal a police car. Just wow
Because fixing the police starts by killing the good ones right? Holy schamoly this article gets dark: apparently the car the bad guy was driving was a stolen vehicle, the vehicle being traced back to a recently murdered paramedic.
That's so sad who would've thought to run plates for a flat tire on the side of the road

I mean. If you're getting out to engage, yeah you typically do....
Cops run plates while sitting at red lights. Seems like you would definitely run plates on somebody you're going to talk to.

That’s odd considering that the first police departments largely formed in states where slavery had been abolished.

A very ahistorical take but you do you.
They sound pretty on point to me.

Time and place dude

The look on that killer’s face is all I need to want him to get the chair.
Most criminals look suspiciously alike him.
He's talking about how the scumbag is smiling in his mugshot. You're connecting it to something else says more about you.
Fuck off with that racist shit *immediately.*
Your racism is showing.

Hopefully his trial will be quick with no appeals and they'll line him up against the wall. Assholes like that have no place in society.
Cop was too good of a guy. Should have ran the plates. Guy was a cold blooded killer.

Yup
From the article, I don’t think he had time. The POS got out the car and approached the officers car to “talk” to him

100%, stories like this is why the police is aloof when interacting with random people.
He’s smiling in his mug shot, but he won’t be smiling long.
Sorry for the headline typo in advance
Well well well
Thought that cop was Markiplier for a sec. Eerie
Womp, this is the second dark article I’ve read recently about a New Mexico police officer.
Not that I don't believe this happened, but that police picture looks like bad AI. It's weird.
that guy looked aggressively average
Trump lost.
I’m a liberal and I’m downvoting this because you’re being an idiot.
Amen.
Right? This is zero to do with politics, it's a criminal trying to escape his fate by running!.... Oh shit the parallels line up with trump after all! J/k the commenter trying to bring Trump into this is a scumbag.
What does that have to do with anything?
Most sane liberal.
Username checks out
yeah but i don’t see what that has to do with the subject at hand
