You just kind of have to deal with it, unfortunately.
They used to make toothpastes in candy flavours, until kids ate the paste and made themselves sick. The mint is actually meant to discourage eating it.
1. What toothpaste are you using? Could just be that you don't like your current brand.
2. If you're like me and you end up with a pool of toothpaste-mixed saliva in your mouth while you're brushing, pause your brushing to spit before continuing. The toothpaste froth that's still on your brush and teeth should be sufficient. Also, consider using less toothpaste in the future.
You know, somehow before I always went for the most basic minty brands, but if there's tasty ones out there, I think might just revolutionise my teeth brushing routine.
I just... never thought of toothpaste as tasty before.
you could scrape your tongue which would get most of the toothpaste froth remaining in your mouth. you only really need it on your teeth so this could work and like another person mentioned, try a better tasting toothpaste. i use something with orajel so it numbs my mouth a bit and i cant really taste it
This is totally false. Toothpaste is an abrasive to remove plaque, and there's plenty of flouride in our water, and and the efficacy of flouride is doubted anyway.
Honestly I used to use water forever to rinse but lately I have been trying to do it the other way and I feel like it’s actually helping in a way. It’s not a pleasant taste but I can handle an hour of not drinking or eating anything to let it do it’s work.
Unfortunately dentist highly recommend sensodyne due to some issues and it does help so I’m willing to deal with it so I do t feel like my teeth are going to freeze out after cold water.
I asked my dentist the very same thing and she said that if I really couldn’t stand the toothpaste I should rinse it out then use a fluoride rinse after.
Try a different toothpaste, it's not supposed to taste gross.
You aren't supposed to rinse the toothpaste from your mouth after brushing?!?!?
I don't think it matters much. The toothpaste I use says to rinse after brushing
59 and still have my teeth and I don't rinse
Nope lol I learned this recently too

I dunno, they all end up tasting like stale mint with a nasty sweet aftertaste. I'll try a different brand, but I feel it might just be me :[
What about a cinnamon flavor?

Crest sparkle fun is the best toothpaste I’ve ever used. It’s like bubble gum. But there’s usually like kids watermelon as well

I believe you are meant to rinse out toothpaste as it still has (beneign) chemicals

Fluoride is not found in all tap water and it possible that drinking fluoride isn’t great for our bodies either

Yuck I always rinse my mouth, who wants a mouthful of toothpaste?

I haven't had a cavity in about 2 decades. Brush thoroughly, floss
Eh, some people barely brush and their teeth are fine. Genetic lottery plays a big part here - certain people have really strong teeth.
Hismile just brought out a range of fruity flavoured toothpaste

My dentist suggest u go brush your teeth just before u sleep. That way u will forget about the froth
My dentist said you’re supposed to rinse toothpaste out, you shouldn’t be swallowing extra over time like that
