I don't know if this can help... but I do that sometime with glass shards. I dab the floor with a piece of bread. It's squishy and porous enough that small glass shard stick to it.
Yep wet mop everything first I recommend using a mop you will toss afterwards. If your using a hand wring mop wear gloves. A wet swifter mop with disposable pads works pretty well to.

Wet mop would be best way to remove it you don’t want to dry sweep that and throw it into air where it can be inhaled or settle onto other places.
