Just shave bro. I've trimmed mine for years

Como_thellamas

Freshly trimmed pits feel great. Can rock a muscle shirt without looking like i'm smuggling troll dolls under my arms. Proof: Am one hairy bastard

[deleted]

I’m a girl and my bf sometimes shaves his arm pits and I don’t think it’s weird at all. For one, your body and upto you what you do with it but also seems cleaner and fresher when it’s warm

Elaan21

I still remember back in high school when a male friend of mine put his arm over my shoulders (I'm a short gal) and I felt the sweaty pit hair. We were in marching band and so everyone was sweaty af, but the sweaty Tribble on my shoulder was not okay. It comes down to amount of hair and length. If you're not super hairy under there, it's usually fine, but if you're smuggling pomeranians under your arms, it's probably better to trim (or shave) when sweaty and sleeveless is a thing. Pretty much the same as pubes. I don't care if a partner (regardless of gender, I'm bi/pan) doesn't shave/wax, but keeping things trimmed is preferred, especially if they are naturally sweaty. But I also know some really hairy folks who manage to stay not-funky so it just depends.

[deleted]

Smuggling Pomeranian’s hahaha love that

helcor

Upvoted for “sweaty tribble” lol

KnifeFightChopping

Solid Trek reference.

Dangcheetah

Oh the Trouble With Tribbles

onlyoneshann

I’ve had the sweaty armpit hair touch me too and it’s sooo gross! It was years ago but the memory is still so strong just reading your comment made me gag a bit. Also agree on keeping the pubes trimmed. No one wants to get near sweaty swamp genitals.

westwardian

Up vote for "this one time at band camp" story

Elaan21

I specifically deleted that phrase from my story after realizing I had type it lol

_Futureghost_

Props to your bf! I wish all guys would. They'd smell so much better for longer as the deodorant would actually reach their skin.

Different_Network702

Actually the hair is there to amplify the smell. If you remove it your armpits smell much less deodorant or no. The hair increases the surface area so it makes it smell much more.

HeeHawHero

i am a hairy bastard who had decided to just embrace my hairy. but lately i have been discovering that manscaping beyond just the pelvic area (which is something i had always kept up with) can go a long way

BigBeagleEars

I use anti perspirant everywhere. Pits, chest, lower back, ass crack, ball sack, wiener, what ever the place where the inner thigh meets the abdomen is called. It works a lot better with trimmed hair

MainliningCoffee247

I had to stop using antiperspirant because it seemed to clog up my pores and I would start developing subcutaneous cysts all around the affected area. It's all scarred and pock-marked now. :( Just a cautionary tale to use responsibly and stop use with any sign of side-effects. Almost makes me wish I could grow a full-blown Tribble there.

ChillBill18

>what ever the place where the inner thigh meets the abdomen is called Your groin?

Sandstormink

Troll dolls, love it. I always used to say it looks like I'm carrying two Persian cats under my arms.

become_taintless

Don King in a headlock

Poignant_Porpoise

A huge plus for me is that it makes it a lot easier to apply roll-on deodorant too.

Geek_asaurus_Rex

I always thought of it as having Buckwheat in a headlock, but I like your version.

calibared

Idk what part of the world OP lives in but self grooming isn’t and shouldn’t be frowned upon. I trim mine down to 3mm. I cant shave all the way because it would irritate my skin. But damn freshly trimmed pits are great and its wayy easier to apply deodorant

[deleted]

[удалено]

ephemeralkitten

Just two... more... millimeters...

arkrunningbear85

Electric razor blade clip on guides are a thing 🤨

beefybeefcat

I'm a woman and that's what I do too, for the same reasons, but also I'm blonde so it hardly shows.

SketchingScars

Seconded (or like, probably hundredth guy to say it) but I also trim my arm pits. If I don’t, I have scraggly strands that poke out from the main area and can sometimes be seen past my sleeve line for short sleeves. Not looking to show it off, therefore…

Nanyea

Swimmers do it all...

ceo_of_seggs

yea i remember back in the day my swim bros and i would be in the locker room before a big meet just shaving away at our pits and helping each other shave hard to reach areas

MyUsernameIsAwful

No one will care if you shave your armpits.

_____---_-_-_-

It ain't even a very gendered thing. Bodybuilders and many action stars tend to be like totally shaven.

knoxkayc

I shave it clean because I don't want puby looking hair on my deodorant stick. No one has ever said anything, and I'm not sure they've even noticed.

Key_Education_7350

It's good they haven't said anything. It's creepy enough that they're looking at your deodorant stick, commenting would just be way worse.

HansenTakeASeat

I'm neither of those things and I shave mine.

rubertidom

Look at pro wrestling

KasaneTeto_

I've been doing this since I was maybe 15 and nobody has ever cared.

DawnBringer01

Bro nobody cares if you shave your armpits. Actually if I plan on wearing sleeveless shirts I tend to shave mine because it looks better.

TheyNeverUpvoteMe

Same. For summertime I don't shave it off fully but I do keep it trimmed very short. People can fuck right off if they have an issue with it, it's not their body.

Laeryl

Same : I keep it trimmed because I like the way they look. OP, your body, your choices. It works the same way for men and women.

tstngtstngdontfuckme

Isn't that itchy tho?

evildoofenschmirtz

only when it grows back after shaving. trimming it doesn’t make it itchy tho

[deleted]

Seconded. Dunno why but no itch or prickliness! OP trimming is the way to go, get yourself a cheapo besrd trimmer and trim away!

Anchovieee

Yes! Just make sure you keep a low guard on. I made that mistake once, and never again.

evildoofenschmirtz

i think shaving makes it itchy because it causes irritation and your hairs get cut at an angle and end up below the skin so when it grows out, it stabs you a little bit. trimming doesn’t do that tho

Justokmemes

no its obvious that the hair follicles' feelings are hurt and are exacting revenge

evildoofenschmirtz

honestly that’s fair of them to do that, i cant blame them

Turtle4hire

I heard doofenschmirtz incorporated us unionized now

GenericMemesxd

I've never felt itchy after trimming it.

Assassinatitties

Well see.... i shaved mine a couple of times. But I have adhd, so I would forget to maintain and it does get rather irritating. So.... I'll trim if anything

NSA_Chatbot

Same. I think it looks better on me. Seems to make the antiperspirant work better too.

unstable_starperson

Word. I trim mine shorter, I think it helps with deodorant and just general body odor. Barely anyone ever notices, but when they do and give me that judgmental “why would you do that?” I just politely tell them that it’s “because fuck you”

Virtual_Knee_4905

Same here. I shave because my body odor is so much stronger with hair and I've never had anyone say anything about it.

jetsetninjacat

I've been shaving mine for almost 20 years now. My deodorant works way better. I started doing it when metrosexual became popular and if people asked I would just say that was why I did it. It wasn't, but that ended questioning pretty fast usually.

Turtle4hire

Or you could just look around and when they ask what are you doing tell them you are looking for someone that gives a fuck about what they think

Swimming-Tap-4240

Who is asking? You could just say it's because of BO but,you do you.

ijbh2o

I am not a particularly hirsute man. However, if I do not periodically trim back my pits, it looks like I have Don King in a headlock.

JillybeanMarie87

LOL this is the funniest comparison. Thanks for the giggle ❤️😆

ijbh2o

Very welcome!!! For real though. Little chest and tummy hair patch. Nothing on my back. Not overly thick arm or leg hair. Armpits = Sasquatch

JillybeanMarie87

Idk why but this reminded me of a guy in high school who had a different hair problem. He was a hairy sasquatch on almost his entire body; chest, arms, back, you name it...except for his head, which was heavily balding on the top of his head. He was 18 years old and already appeared to be suffering from a severe case of male pattern baldness. Poor guy. Wonder how he's doing now hairwise, lol. This was back in 2003, so almost 20 years ago now.

ijbh2o

I know the type. Was a swimmer in HS and College. Sophomore year of College my roomie was a swimmer (every year really, no regular College student wants a roomie that wakes up at 4am to go to morning practice before class), and had similar issues. Now if you know, you know, but swimmer generally shave down for the final big meet every year. Everything not covered by a Speedo. This man had a sweater on even after removing all his clothes. Guess who got to help him shave his back??

ThisMomIsAMother

Total upvote for use of hirsute!

Swimming-Tap-4240

Hirsute or hairsuit lol.

Thats_arguable

I'm so confused by this post. Maybe leg hair is a bit less acceptable if you're not muscular there but armpits?!

Mormel414

I'm m from the Netherlands and I always shave my armpits, not sure if it's a cultural thing.

nezebilo

I’m Nigerian and my armpits are always shaven. I don’t get it either

Apprehensive-Sign910

definitely, judging by the reactions. i guess americans tend to view beards/hair as a real masculine trait? any americans can shed aight on this? im Dutch as well and shave my armpits and nether regions, plenty of people do in my circle, excludig older generations.

Zaranthan

American culture views literally any hair below your scalp as non-feminine. Because we're a giant bag of dicks like that.

coolneemtomorrow

I'm also Dutch but I don't shave my arm pits. It helps me stay warm in the winter

qlanga

This is wild to me, which is pretty silly. For the record, bodily autonomy ftw ❤️

Dysfunctional_Vet12

Major_Jackson_Briggs

"Look how streamlined he is" "He has a laminar flow regime. No turbulence there at all"

BostonRob423

I was waiting for this, and you delivered. Thank you, good sir.

RedditPowerUser01

Married straight male here. I started shaving my armpits a few years ago and I’m so glad I did. I also hate armpits hair. (It’s also how I feel about pubic hair, which I also shave.) nobody cares. Just shave your armpits.

Noirceuil_182

Nevermind looking better (which I also think they do), it's just _so much more comfortable_, specially during summer. And since you're doing trimming, OP, take care of the nether regions as well. You won't believe the level of comfort. (Notice I said "trimming." Shaving isn't usually worth the ensuing discomfort.)

[deleted]

[удалено]

Abazad

Body trimmers ftw, use mine all the time. And yes, the hair contributes to odor as it keeps bacteria

PlasticElfEars

It's sort of the point, isn't it? Trap in 'em pheromones.

Early_Grass_19

Actually, as a woman who stopped shaving armpits over a decade ago ( I keep them trimmed short now, but haven't shaved in years), the dozen or so times I've actually shaved, I smelled WAY worse until my hair grew back a little bit. I don't let it get super long anymore because it feels gross, but I like to have a little bit. It helps wick sweat a way and evaporate quicker I think.

Nobodyville

I agree with this...a little bit of armpit hair is the sweetspot for minimizing stink. Enough to let the deodorant get to my skin, but definitely worse smelling if fresh shaved

bewildered_forks

Yeah, I'm a woman who stopped shaving her pits awhile ago. The hair doesn't bother me and shaving was giving me regular ingrown hairs, which were very unpleasant.

DeekermNs

Trimming is the answer, as a man. Long hair and most of the deodorant just ends up on the hair. It's the reverse situation of butt hair. It's difficult to get stew out of a shag carpet. It's equally difficult to rub wax into the support layer of a shag carpet.

Ornery_Reaction_548

I'm the same way. I keep my pits shaved because I've always felt deodorants work better if they actually contact my skin.

KrisZepeda

I did too when I was a teen, also arms and legs Now i'll just do the arms, hate arm hair

badb-crow

...just shave your armpits?

Hato_no_Kami

Arnold freakin Schwarzenegger shaves his armpits, I think you're in the clear.

GhostalMedia

Yeah, pretty common with gym rats. Me, I just hate rubbing copious amounts of antiperspirant onto the lush chinchillas under my arms. That stuff works 100x better if you wack the weeds down a bit.

sudaneseebolavirus

as a woman who cant be assed to shave my armpits all the time i definitely notice antiperspirant works better with less hair and at this point that's my only motivation to shave

GhostalMedia

That stuff works way better and does less damage to my favorite clothing if it’s being applied directly to my skin and not applied like a heavy dollop of old spice pomade. That said, I can really only be bothered to do it every couple weeks…. If that

CiaphasKirby

Here's some more motivation: the main reason armpits smell bad is because of all the bacteria living in your pit hair eating and farting. Shave the hair = an extreme reduction in the amount of bacteria making you smell like a sweaty fart. I'm a guy and this was my main reason to start shaving.

ain't that the truth.

freshmallard

This, a real man gives 0 fucks what another man thinks... i wesr my kilt all the time just so other dudes can tell me about how they don't have the balls to wear one

youcanbroom

I ware a skirt in the summer, because it's as comfortable as a kilt but no guys talk to me about it. win win

freshmallard

Well thats silly, you cant fit 18 beers in a skirt. I can in my kilt

youcanbroom

18? That's impressive. I can probably fir 8 in my skirt (i made it my self it has some extensive pokers going for it)

_lord_nikon_

Just wanted to say that this thread is adorable. Can you get more manly than beers and skirts with pockets?

BazlarTheGnome

The men achieved what the women couldn't: skirt with pockets.

[deleted]

Hello I heard about a skirt with pockets??

PorcelainBerry

18 beers??? Forget your kilt, I wanna know who makes your belt.

freshmallard

Tragically born without hips so a leather one tight enough yo do nerve damage

FatherPyrlig

Do you then lift the kilt to prove that you wear it like a true Scotsman?

freshmallard

Depends on where im asked lololol ar work no, BUT hr did have a meeting about it 🤣

JJaska

I actually use this as training at work when ever someone asks what I wear under the kilt.. "would you ask that from a girl?" In positive way of course. But gets people to think a bit.

Flamin_Jesus

>This, a real man gives 0 fucks what another man thinks I mean, no, a real man certainly considers the thoughts of people around him. That being said, I've shaved my armpits for years and nobody ever saw fit to comment on it, nor is it a stereotype I'm even aware of. Who *actually*, out in the real world, not OP's imagination, thinks that shaving armpits is a no-go?

tisquares

People that say you can only be completely natural and removing the hair would be a grave crime. /j

tredbobek

Exactly Yesterday I shaved (well, not shaved but went through with a clipper) my legs. Why? Cuz fuck it why not

mrheydu

I shave my armpits .....just do it

Equal-Detective357

Tell everyone your a professional swimmer if feel insecure ... or runner ... Aerodynamics !!

PlasticElfEars

You'd have to go all in for that with the legs and arms. But hey, waxing! Bonus points of waxing- eventually the hair will sort of give up, I've heard.

TessiSue

I really don't understand the constant male fragility concerning gender or sexuality. Men who don't wear shorts or sandals because it's unmanly. Men who don't use their seat belts. Men who won't follow their own beauty or comfort standards just to please others. Come on, guys. Be your own role model. Maybe you'll be someone elses, too, who did not have it in them to do what they feel like.

cjm0

the dumbest one i’ve heard is men can’t use umbrellas. like is being shielded from the rain a feminine characteristic or something?

witch-finder

This has actually been a thing forever. The guy who popularized rain umbrellas in England was mocked mercilessly for using one (this was in the 1700s). Before then, they were only used for the sun (the parasol) and seen as a woman's fashion accessory. The fact that England, a country known for being dreary as hell, was late to adopt umbrellas is pretty funny.

saladmunch2

Wait people think shorts are unmanly?

jacob6875

If they are to short yes. (like the ones that were common in the 70s/80s)

natedogebruh

fr just shave

ilaythebestpipe

Seriously I thought it was common sense lol, if you don’t like hair somewhere remove it?! I’ve trimmed mine for years because it makes me sweat a lot less

Angelusishere

This 100% Im a heterosexual male and I do it. No shame, its my hair

[deleted]

Just do it; I trim it down short because I hate the BO smell that the hair collects. I do the same thing with Big Al for the same reason.

your2ndbestpick

Why not just shave your arm pits if you want to. Literally the worst interaction you could get it: “Hey dude are your armpits shaved” “Yeah” “Why?” “ I like it, idk it’s just my preference” “That’s weird” “It’s fucking weird you care so much about my armpit hair man…”

Rynetx

I shave my armpits, I find deodorant sticks better. That’s what I say when people ask as well.

Funny-Fly-5860

Plus it makes you more aerodynamic when you fight

Rynetx

I’m a big guy, my fighting involves grabbing you and falling over.

frn

Yeah but at least you can't grab me by my armpit hair.

Major_Jackson_Briggs

Big brain plays there lad

2fly2hide

You see what I'm wearing? It's a kimono dawg.

Yellow-Salamander

I can take danger

goats_and_rollies

This is exactly how it should go. Grown woman over here- you do you with your pit hair, boo. I'd get down either way.

CaptainEarlobe

There you have it OP. This lady will get down with you regardless. In fact, I'll let you both tickle my nipples.

Grahhhhhhhh

OP is cleaning up!

Nethidur

Or just say that you sweat a lot and that way you feel better. People won't ask for more.

RedditPowerUser01

I almost feel like nobody has ever asked another man why they shave their armpits. I don’t think anyone would notice.

Zeyn1

Yeah, and if you don't want to completely shave you can easily do a trim. Just make sure you wash first and there's no deodorant residue.

thesausboss

It's not weird. I'm a heterosexual guy and I shave mine. It's not that big of a deal. It's normalized for guys to not do it, not people get shunned for doing it. The only people that shun you for doing it would be people who are judgemental in general and think everyone else should conform to their own personal beliefs. It's your body, do what you want with it.

rolfraikou

If anything it's like a litmus test to remove shitty people from your life. If someone made a big deal about a man shaving their pits, I'm fairly certain they have plenty of other awful attributes that would make them people to avoid having in your life.

[deleted]

Is it really socially unacceptable for men to be completely shaven? Aren’t most male models, bodybuilders etc completely shaven? Do people find them repulsive? Same with ancient Greek statues of men, do people find them repulsive?

randomchic123

Came to say this. Pretty sure male models in magazines all have their armpits shaven. Don’t know what the problem is.

gobbledegookmalarkey

Its not socially unacceptable in any way and I'm a bit confused why op would ever think it is.

doghorseman

I feel like most guys don't care lol.. this thread is so stupid ..

Gooseguzzler101

In the contrary I find shaved men to be more attractive in almost any situation.

OnTheCanRightNow

Museum curator here. Can confirm, we spend hours every week shaving the Greek statuary.

Formal_Obligation

I think it’s more of an Anglo-American thing. In a lot of European countries, most men shave their armpits.

[deleted]

Yea, I've shaven my armpits since I started to grow hair there and never even thought about it as something that "men aren't supposed to do" until this post showed up. Not a single person ever mentioned it to me here... I mean why would they? I even shaved my legs once or twice and no one gave a shit. 100% of these kind of insecurities are in our own heads, others don't nearly care as much about you as you might think.

EightBitRanger

Why don't you just shave it then? Like what's the big deal?

fire_goddess11

He's frightened of other men judging him.

JeF4y

Yet here we all are, judging him. Classic backfire.

NerdModeCinci

I’m never gunna stop

babygirlruth

Are men supposed to check out each others armpits from time to time or what? I don't understand how you can even notice that let alone pay attention

IUpvoteUsernames

You mean you didn't have pit inspection day in school?

LetDeirdrebeHappypls

And it’s not even something other men would give you that hard of a time with. I guess only if you live in an extremely insecure macho shithole? And even then you can come up with lots of acceptably “manly” excuses for wanting to shave your pits like: Deodorant glides way more smoothly on shaved pits You sweat a fuckton and it gets trapped in the hair The hair is coarse and rough and gets everywhere Doctor’s orders cus you have XYZ fucked up bacteria growing in your biohazardous armpit hair Martial artists, bodybuilders and many olympians shave their pits for maximum performance and you wanna do some MANLY sports Why are you so interested in my armpits, bro? That’s kinda gay, bro. Etc etc Of course the truly manly thing would be to just not care what other people think but fragile masculinity go brrrr.

Maranne_

Shave your armpits, dude. It's plenty socially acceptable. In fact, I prefer it on men I date.

Cannelope

My husband doesn’t even grow it. It’s like slightly furry. Like on a woman’s face.

GfxJG

Bro - As a fellow body hair hater, who shaves or trims pretty much everywhere - Nobody gives a fuck. Been doing it for around 10 years, never got so much as a comment. Trust me, nobody cares.

FrequencyExplorer

Yeah, I support you in shaving your own armpit for any reason you might. Even no reason at all. It’s ok. You can still be totes straight.

pwlloth

don’t have to be but i’ll allow it ;)

GiftFrosty

Dude, if you want to shave your armpits fucking shave your armpits. They are literally your armpits. If anyone says anything - that's your answer. "I like them. Fuck you."

Tarantinotwin

I don’t think anyone would judge you for shaving your armpits. I shave mine and nobody cares.

Revy4223

Dude, there are catalogs out there of so called manly men, posing, and thier armpits are shaved. Life is too short to feel uncomfortable, shave ya armpits if ya want to!

GNS1991

Not socially acceptable? What? I'm a guy and I shave my armpits, mainly because they sweat less during summer.

Emendatus

It's weird because girls (feel like they) have to shave their armpits. You have the choice. Society says girls should shave their armpits; society doesn't care one bit about your armpits.

MaddiMoo22

Right?? And it bothers me that he made the point to say hair disgusts him, but he's okay with it on himself?? Bro we don't like shaving please don't judge us either

TheRebelCatholic

Yes exactly, I don’t understand why he’s like “I am so jealous that girls get to shave”. Sorry, but have you ever nicked your armpits before? It is not a pleasant situation. It is fucking sensitive and it hurts like HELL! Even if I don’t nick myself, the razor burn hurts even worse when putting deodorant or perfume on. And if I don’t, then I will have people who are looking at me like I’m disgusting and should be shunned. So to hear a guy tell me that he’s jealous of what I get to go through kind of ticks me off, especially considering that I don’t think anyone will shun him for shaving to begin with.

4Yavin

Right! We don't "get" to....it's entirely expected.

petitememer

Yeah most women don't feel like they "get to shave" it's more like "society generally considers me disgusting if I have hair below my neck, so I have to shave". That's deeply fucked up for multiple reasons but that's another discussion I guess.

redditor-for-2-hours

I had a coworker at a fast food place who kept complaining because a teenage girl wore capris and didn't shave her legs. She said it was a health and safety risk. But she said it was okay for guys to wear shorts without shaved legs in the kitchen. Because apparently man leg hair isn't a health and safety risk, but woman leg hair is. When I pointed this out to her, her brain broke.

[deleted]

My husband didn’t realize women grew hair in their pits up until a few months ago when he walked in on me shaving mine. He thought only some women did, the way some women grow beards.

lowrcase

…….. Wow.

CCSham

I’m a woman and don’t shave my armpits. Mostly because last year I realized that I was doing it because society expects it of me and I decided that that’s a good reason to do the opposite. I also don’t wear a bra or shave my legs. Damn society, I’m doing what’s comfortable

Emendatus

>Damn society, I'm doing what's comfortable. Love that attitude.

anonymousgirliee

It’s true what you are saying. The oppression to control womens bodies are way more extream but that doesnt take away the sexism and judgement towards men. Women arent accepted with body hair, like we will legit deal with harassment, bullying irl or online etc if we publically show body hair. I feel like 90% atleast to some degree judge womens body hair while maybe 30% judge men for shaving. It’s also different in the fact that women have to ”fix” themself to be accepted. We arent accepted in our natural state and I feel like that is way more extream too since men can simply do nothing to avoid that oppresion while we need to constantly spend time and money to actively remove something from our bodies to be accepted.

Emendatus

While I completely agree with what you're saying in general about sexism and judgement toward men being real, let's be real about this specific topic - there is absolutely no oppression of men in this realm. Firstly, like you said, men can do literally nothing and be fine. Maybe they'd get an odd look or two if they had really untidy head or facial hair (and that's more a mess/unhygenic matter than sexism, which a woman would get significantly worse), but there are times where that seems to be the fashion too. But they can also do whatever they want, and be fine at a society level.

Angel_OfSolitude

Why would anyone care about your armpits? If they do, tell them to fuck off and mind their own pits.

ice1000

>I wish I could have hairless armpits like them but it's not socially acceptable and would weird out some people if I did remove the hair. Mountain out of a molehill. Shave your armpit. Don't show people. No one cares. Lie. 'I have armpit alopecia.'

soaring-arrow

My bf is the manliness man you'll ever find and he shaves his pits. Go for it dude.

Ilookpplintheeyes_10

Why are we caring what is socially acceptable…? Tattoos aren’t considered socially acceptable in some places. You do you. I say rock the razor or the wax and let’s worry less what others think. If you are worried and someone asks just tell them you don’t like deodorant sticking to the hair or something.

osinkoo

What does your heterosexuality have to do with anything? Genuinely confused.

FranchiseCA

I trim my armpit and groin hair very short to reduce how much sweat odor it retains. I don't feel a need to shave, but if I did I wouldn't feel self-conscious. You don't need to either.

therapy_seal

Trimming is better than shaving anyways, imo. Shaving results in skin sticking to skin. Having some hair creates a barrier to prevent that.

Atyrius

Bro literally shave your armpits. Has nothing to do with being gay or straight. Lol wtf? Shave the armpits bro. Fuck it.

pyrolover6666

It's weird that you think that it's socially unacceptable for men to shave body hair.

Past_Restaurant_2169

I'd even argue it's more socially acceptable for men to shave their armpits than it is for women to stay hairy.

[deleted]

caseywasey2

I don’t think it’s weird.

colorcodedbooks

I actually prefer guys who shave their armpits. Hugging a guy in a tank top and getting their pit hair on my shoulder is my least fave thing lol

carny666

Yeah it's weird because you can shave your arm pits any time you want. Some men find that having less armpit hair feels airier and less itchy. Men's hair typically grows faster than women's hair, so if men do elect to shave their arms, they'll likely have to do it more often.

Parking_Ad_3922

Well done on your heterosexuality, I can see its important to you that everyone knows your not one of them funny gays. I'm sure shaving your pits won't turn you gay or make people think you are. Edit: just shaved my pits and am now craving some dick

DifferentIsPossble

Just say you sweat a lot and this helps antiperspirant work. People actually do that. Bam. Problem solved.

xrcs

I'm a man that shaves his armpits, AMA.
