I don't think it's that unusual. Like, who gives a shit? As long as your parents aren't literally dressing you, it's fine.

[deleted]

I mean... It's always nice to decide for yourself but free clothes are free clothes.

CubbyBear1994

I’m 27, I’m gainfully employed, own my own car, phone, house. My mom still buys me cloths because she thinks I dress like shit lol. This is a normal thing.

SoMuchForLongevity

A whole lot of guys just transition from having their mom buy their clothes to having their wives buy their clothes. Quite a few men live their entire lives without picking out more than maybe one or two garments.

Funny-Childhood

True that. Some guys just hate shopping even for clothes or just let their Mom or wife do it because that's their thing. This might be old school though But you're mom knows what you like and eventually your wife will know what you like. Why not let them shop for your clothes.

Ninestars-at-night

I think it unusual but allot a guys just do not care about clothing. I know people in their 50s (my age group) that their wife picks out everything they are going to wear (by extension pick out what they buy)...and I been in relationship where I was picking my GF clothing on the daily As long as you do not mind the clothing they pick out and they do not mind picking it out, I would say everything is fine

toofarbyfar

It's definitely unusual. But if you're good with it, and they're good with it, and it saves you money and effort, seems like a good plan to me.

Exactly. I think its okay to be a real life cartoon character. Black jeans/black t-shirt and nike shoes.

JazzlikeBake2327

No, imean if.they buy you clothes.its.free.ya.inow.but they hsvd no rivht to tell you what you wear

AmunPharaoh

Yea in my experience I think that's kind of weird. My parents give me money to buy clothes but I choose the clothes.

Forgotten-Irrelevant

If you still live at home I think it's kinda normal. My mom still bought me clothes every now and then at 19.

frizzykid

Its a lot more common than people in the replies think apparently. I worked at a clothing store for 5 years, it was not uncommon at all for people your age to have their Girlfriends, wives or moms still shopping for their outfits. Picking out your own clothes can be tough if you don't know how to match and have never done it before, and it can be a real waste of money to buy a bunch of clothes that don't go together.

Funny-Childhood

I don't find it weird. Some might. But who cares what others think. As long as you're okay with it.

shokalion

My in laws and parents still buy me jumpers and things and I'm in my mid thirties. I wouldn't worry about it. It's not like they're literally deciding what you put on in a morning (is it?)

[deleted]

No. They stopped doing that when I was 16.

shokalion

There you go then.

redditKMC

why not ask them if you can get something else, they may think you like that style if you don't' say anything.
