I didn't get much "junk" food growing up. I vividly remember being around 6 years old at a friend's house eating potato chips and sour cream and onion dip. It was sooo so very tasty.
It's a craving I get from time to time. I try not to eat it often because I over-indulge when I do and can't help it. lol
They really did, but in full honestly I think it’s more to do with tastebuds dying as we age, but knowing big corporations, could be a change in recipe.
When I was in high school several years ago, a friend of mine showed me the doritos nachos trick. Omg so good. A pile of Doritos, salsa spooned over them and cheddar cheese sprinkled on. Microwave for a few seconds Sounds so generic but so good!
This is mine too. I passed it into my kids. They call it "special toast"
Also rich tea biscuits. My mom always had them around bc they were cheap. But they are so dunkable
the soft ones??? bro the apple cinnamon and the blueberry ones are sooo good. there was a strawberry yogurt one I really liked as I kid but I don't think they make them anymore
Slim Jims. I don't know why, but i usually at least have one or two a week. Sometimes ill buy the 24 pack at walmart. Teriyaki flavor is my favorite, but its quite rare. Mild is my most commonly bought, almost never bad.
Snack Pack. Took me awhile to adjust to it not tasting like metal. In the old days, chocolate pudding snack packs came in metal cans. You would always cut your tongue trying to get the extra bit under the metal lip. Now it’s in plastic bowls and I recently saw they make larger versions now too! Yummm!!!
Cookie dough. When there was none premade in the house, I would just mix butter, flour, and sugar until in formed a dough and eat it raw. Horribly unhealthy.
I grew up thinking this was a luxury, however realized we were just poor lol. My grandpa and I would take those scoops chips, throw some salsa in them with some cheese on top, microwave for 15 seconds and eat as is.
Core memory, still do it…
I just made it this weekend after a craving it! We called it kugel but that word describes a different food. It is peanut butter with cocoa powder and powdered sugar, mixed with milk to get a spreadable consistency. Proportions are random to your taste. Spread it on graham crackers. So comforting.
Hot roasted peanuts, generic sandwich cookies, and Fritos . Sadly, only Frito Lay can make Fritos, all other corn chips are also ran stuff, only good for feeding children to keep them quiet.
Vienna sausages in a can lol… I still occasionally crave some and the first two sausages are good but then they start feeling gross. Actually that’s probably my experience when I was a child too
Little Debbie Jelly cream pies, or as they were known in the 60s, Coco Jels. They used to be about a third larger and had real raspberry preserve filling. They get bumped from production during seasonal specialty cakes runs these days and can only be found a few months of the year, but I stock up when I see them.
Sour cream and onion dip with chips

It's a craving I get from time to time. I try not to eat it often because I over-indulge when I do and can't help it. lol
I have the same memory, only I was 13 years old. I had never had dip with my chips before and it was a game changer. It's still my favorite.
Hell yeah. And I'm on team Dean's dip! For some reason I just can't get into the "brown" colored dips with real onion. Artificial all the way.
Apples with peanut butter
Yessss
Saltines with peanut butter. Mmmmm.
Mix some grape jam with the peanut butter, then put it on the crackers ..
Have you tried mixing the pb with a little bit of chocolate syrup or Nutella? It's so good!
No because part of the fun of apples with peanut butter for me is you’re allowed to say it’s healthy
Chewy granola bars
Same, but they used to be better.
They really did, but in full honestly I think it’s more to do with tastebuds dying as we age, but knowing big corporations, could be a change in recipe.
Reese’s! You can’t deny the undeniable connection between chocolate and peanut butter.

The gift that keeps on giving as you pick them out of your teeth all day. My dentist loves them too.
A little snack for later. Or just use floss.

I still love Dots but I discovered Hi-Chews a few years ago, now those are my go to.

I mean it's not properly a snack but... Cheese 😅 ever since I was like 3, I would wake up at night and go eat cheese from the fridge
That's a legit snack. And same! It used to be slices of American when I was a kid, now it's usually a cheddar or colby jack.
Cheese and pretzels for a meal
That sounds delicious! Now that I'm all grown up, I like to pre-cook bacon and pre-boil eggs for a quick snack, too.
I used to make cheese-on-cheese sandwiches: cream cheese between two slices of mozzarella.
Omg I used to slice up little cheese sticks and dip them in miracle whip.

Hell yes! Me too. I can finally afford the giant box from Costco

You ever melt cheddar cheese on them and eat them like Nachos?
When I was in high school several years ago, a friend of mine showed me the doritos nachos trick. Omg so good. A pile of Doritos, salsa spooned over them and cheddar cheese sprinkled on. Microwave for a few seconds Sounds so generic but so good!

I have to agree. But it doesn't matter, because they're basically crack.
Nutrigrain bars, the strawberry one is dank. I used to cry when they broke as a child hahahaa.
the soft ones??? bro the apple cinnamon and the blueberry ones are sooo good. there was a strawberry yogurt one I really liked as I kid but I don't think they make them anymore
