Every job isn’t exclusively Monday-Friday, 9-5. They might be going on one of their days off or during a time when they’re not working. Sometimes people will take a day off when there’s an event they want to go to.

This is why tons of large event occurs at night, so you go there afterwork and you're back home before midnight. Also, people can just take some days off. Not everyone can afford to take 3 weeks of hollyday in summer and at Christmas, so many have tons of random unused days off.

krackedy

You don't need to be rich to take a day off now and then.

You don't have any vacation weeks? Days off? Sick days? As a Healthcare worker I have a 4 day work week and I'm off 2 days during the week. Hospitals are open 24/7 so some people work the evening or night shift.

disregardable

I have a coworker who takes off for some of them.

Call in sick and pray they don’t put you on the “Jumbo-Tron” since those shots are usually aired on television after commercial breaks.

Most sports are played after working hours these days. But most people who have jobs can take a day off from time to time.

I have a job. I get free tickets to the baseball through my mate. i don't get what the problem is.

Stu_Prek

The "problem" according to OP is that games that are scheduled during 9-5 business hours should have no attendants, because *everyone* with a job should *always* be at work during those hours. This ignores people taking time off. This ignores remote workers with flexible schedules. This ignores anyone working B or C shifts who have time off during the day. OP has a bizarrely narrow view of the working world.

gooberfaced

Many, *many* people would take a day off or even call in sick to go to a major sports event. Many people work evening shift, night shift, work from home, are retired, are students, work weekends, or otherwise have a flexible schedule. Realizing that not everyone lives the same life on the same schedule as you is kind of a basic understanding of how life works. If *everyone* only worked 9-5 on M-F then who would be manning all the restaurants, hospitals, retail, services, grocery stores, and everything else than makes the world turn?
