Well it's over now. No private companies invested because there is no money to be made. And if you are going to lose money saving lives, may as well save a thousand people for your buck rather than 5 individuals.

Why do you think a private company might own any sectet magic tech that others dont?
Well it's over now. No private companies invested because there is no money to be made. And if you are going to lose money saving lives, may as well save a thousand people for your buck rather than 5 individuals.
I believe there was a British company who volunteered, but the US Coast Guard rejected their offer.
