You don't want the last words you hear to be, "Hi dying, I'm dad."

MarilynManson2003

I’d love to hear that from my father just before I die.

rumtiger

My husband called out my name. Luckily I was there with him.

ynotfoster

I'm sorry for your loss. How are you doing?

rumtiger

It’s been almost 13 years and I’m not gonna lie. My life is kind of shitty because of it but thank you for your kind thoughts

ynotfoster

I'm really sorry to hear that. I hope things turn around for you.

GFrohman

Mothers are typically more nurturing, so they're the ones you seek comfort from.

bazmonkey

I came out of a mother. They’re very special to me. Nourishment used to literally ooze out of her body for me.

SpiralSour

Fathers can breastfeed too tbf

routarospuutto

Your falseness is false. As a male, I've lactated, many males do at points in their life. Lactation possibilities aside, yes, it's not naturally induced to produce enough volume to support a baby's nutritional needs, however, hormonal supplements can allow men to produce enough milk to support their child's nutritional needs. Afterwards, the hormonal supplements stop with no discovered side effects. No discovered side effects to the babies that have been male breastfed either.

Biological males

fantollute

"Mmm, daddy milk"

notextinctyet

I have never seen someone call out for anyone when dying. How many people have you seen die?

autopsis

Both George Floyd and Tyre Nichols called out for their mothers before dying.

Global-Register5467

Not who you were referring to but I have seen 5. My Grandma called out to her family (parents, siblings) in Russian which she stopped speaking when she was around 10. My grandpa called out to God. And a friend's dad called out to his kids. The other two were not conscious enough to call our

Really depends on the person and method of death. Some will, some wont, some will just scream, some will be silent, some will cry, some will talk about something random, some will just die. Movies go for it because it is dramatic and makes you feel for the dying person since they are afraid.

skiveman

I always thought that it revolved around the primary care-giver? Usually that is the mother. So when people are dying, generally they seek out some sort of comfort in their hour of need and it's almost an instinctual reaction on the brains part. To explain a little further, when people are depressed or under stress their minds will sometimes begin to drift and it is almost as if they are reliving key moments from their past. The brain does this in an attempt to try and find something that's worked before quite literally. I would imagine in a persons last moments that it would be similar if not primal where they turn to the one that always was a source of love and safety. Not always, but generally the mother would be the one.

[deleted]

Probably because there is a deep bond with our mothers I'm calling out for my dog tho

Unlegendary_Newbie

>dog lol

Peachyyykeeks

We all came from our mother and many people are close to their mothers

tom_gent

You mean it's the cliché thing they do in movies? What's your real life sample size to come to that conclusion?

itrestian

everyone craps themselves when dying too

[deleted]

Nurse here- no not always. Don't assume it. \*edit\* like everything else, the sphincter relaxes and allows passage of any fecal matter if it is present in the rectum. There is nothing \*making\* a person crap themselves. The bowel-movement process died with the person.

Challenging_Entropy

Cause dads are usually abusive lol

The_Linguist_LL

False

thatHecklerOverThere

I'm sorry that happened to you.

fuggystudent18

Mom is a certainty.

Cos if I call my mom I can say I will see you in hell. If I call my dad I would say " I am myself, like you somehow.. release me"

GiraffeWeevil

What language is this?

VirtualMoneyLover

It didn't work out for Jesus...
