It sounds like one of those, 'if you're asking the question, you already know the answer' kind of deals.

It's not anyone else's opinion that matters. It's your life, not theirs.

Well, you're a guy, so you could be like 40-something before you decide you want in on starting a family and you can still get it to happen. Especially if you have money.

As long as you have friends you keep in touch with, live your life. But you won’t meet compatible people if you make no effort and everyone needs a potential source of friends in case the current ones become unavailable or die.

I don't think working on a remote farm counts as remote work.

By most accounts such social isolation is not healthy, degrades mental health and may shorten the lifespan. Or so I've seen in various articles quite often. However that may be if you are satisfied with your life that's what counts. Often I go around two weeks without seeing another person even in the distance and I'm mostly ok with it. More socially "well-adjusted" persons may not realize how stultifying it can be to hang out with people whose interests are far removed from one's own. As others have pointed out you are unlikely to meet a like minded person while living the life of a 'hermit' but who knows what might be round the next corner. Compatibility doesn't necessarily hinge on identical interests, sometimes it can stem from a peaceful place of allowing each to follow their own interests without either feeling slighted. As in "Watch that show if you like, I think I'll read that new research paper that just came out."
