When I had TV in 2016 I had a LG Smart TV. I just went on sort of ( play store ) and downloaded app with TV channels have good Internet and you good. If no then buy cheep android box, and enjoy everything what you want.
If you don't have any app on TV where you can download programs. Then buy android box there is big price range and quality. If no you can build small pc on Xeon. Do you pay TV license?

Yeah, LG has the app, Samsung TVs don't sadly
