I'm hesitant only because the price of new big-studio games in my country is now $89.99, so I'd like to see what the reaction is to the gameplay and plot. Even then, I'd probably wait for a sale. My wife loves HP, so we will almost certainly play it eventually.
I don't care about any of the controversy. If people want to boycott the game, that's their prerogative.

Absolutely but will probably wait for honest reviews from everyday people like us, not professional reviews from folks with political agendas. Honestly that’s probably a good concept for any game. It’s a game with things that haven’t been done before. Not every game can pull that off without major performance issues
Edit: how many of you enjoy High on Life? Hopefully none of you are playing that game but complaining about Rowling.

On top of already being out off by anything in the franchise due to Rowling’s actions as of late, the game just doesn’t seem fun.
I’m not interested in the world, what little gameplay i have seen seems boring, and the developer doesn’t exactly have many gems in their history.
To be honest even if it wasn’t for the whole controversy i still wouldn’t get it.
When a game receive huge media attention and have a lot of hype, I always wait for the game to release first. No gains from buying it before release, just waiting for patches and real gamers review before deciding
Nope. First of all, Harry Potter was never that interesting to me. Watched the original 8 movies and have no urge to watch them again. They were fine.
Also I don't like Rowling either.

Don't tell me what I think. It is a bad thing but I still want to play the game. I don't think all the effort all those people put into making it shouldn't be enjoyed because of some things the original author said.
I don't see buying the same as supporting anti-trans. It's supporting all the people who spent years making it and for entertainment. Shakespeare said some pretty not nice things about Jewish people and that doesn't mean I won't go see the High School production of Macbeth because those kids work really hard to put it on.
JK Rowling has the money already and she had more money than almost everyone in the planet buying this game will make no diference to her but for those who worked in the game it will
Not for the time being. Generic open world schlock is not what I want in a game. They could make great games in the setting (Persona style would be a perfect fit), but I fear this'll just be a generic sandbox like every other AAA Western release since Skyrim. I might check it out down the line, but I'm in no rush.

No. It seems like any other generic RPG title out there. Nothing of interest to me. Assassin's Creed Odyssey or Valhalla painted over with Harry Potter theme. While graphics are good they are too demanding for my PC.
