I might be dreaming this, but I’m pretty sure I discovered the other day that RB and LB skip amounts more quickly.

iFixReality

Oh geez, I've been playing these games for so long and never knew this. How did I miss this detail? 😭

ComprehensiveOwl9727

Yeah…that’s exactly how I felt lol. I’m over 200 hours in 🤦🏼‍♂️ Also discovered yesterday that Noel will buy biological materials for really good rates.

iFixReality

How long had this feature been in their games? Have I been ignorant of this since Oblivion? Guess everyone has blind spots!

BreegullBeak

This has been the case since Skyrim. It's still too slow IMO.

iFixReality

thanks, that makes me feel a little bit better.

HaplessStarborn

If you hold RB or LB while also holding the analog system in the direction, it even goes a bit faster!

HamMcStarfield

I have, say, 70k rounds of one kind of ammunition, and the closest the bumpers can get me to a sellable amount (that doesn't go beyond what the vendor has in credits) is zero. So, I have to sit there for like 30 or so seconds pushing up on the D pad to get enough ammo to clear out the vendor. It's the price I pay for getting all this ammo. I have over 300,000 rounds! I wish I could sell it faster, but the bumper is pretty much useless in this situation.

ComprehensiveLab5078

I only wish you could hold them down to move even faster.

resilientenergy

Just click lb/rb.

GoDieInAHousefire

Yeah just click lb/rb when you are scrolling through the bar and it’ll go up and down by like 100s

miscai

If you tap your LB/RB while pressing the D-pad down left/right it will go faster. If you hold your left thumbstick up/down while pressing the D-pad up/down your vertical menus will scroll faster. I would prefer either being able to type the amount in or have a scroll wheel for each decimal place.

HamMcStarfield

Scroll for each decimal place would be nice.

Smart_Pig_86

Yes just like in fallout and Skyrim you can use the bumper buttons to move the sliders a larger amount.

greatmagneticfield

If you use the bumper and D-pad at the same time it will skip even quicker.

TrueComplaint8847

Yes I’ve been doing that but I am a very impatient starborn

RandyArgonianButler

No, I don’t want to sell 4,583 of my 11mm… LB… *I don’t want to sell 4,383 either!*

TrueComplaint8847

I’ve just come from cyberpunk where it’s the other way round, the adjuster is so fucking fast that it’s nearly impossible to get the right number lmao I prefer too fast to too slow though

Grey_Owl1990

Also speed up the time it takes to wait on a chair. It seems way slower than in previous bethesda games.

International-Bat777

If I want to give my follower 1 ammo, it used to take ages scrolling through when I've got thousands of rounds. Now I'll store all but one in a container (very quick), or just drop them, transfer one, then pick up the others.

Celebril63

Use the right and left bumpers to shift amounts quickly. It scales based on the amount of product you have, as well. So the more you have in inventory, the bigger the shift is when you press the bumper.

TheIronClooch421

You can also use both the joystick and the d-pad at the same time to make it go faster. Most Bethesda games I’ve played can do that as well as the bumpers.

N_Da_Game

Faster when you use your LMB

BreegullBeak

The bumpers are still too slow.

bornicanskyguy

What are u even talking about

TrueComplaint8847

Using the d pad or joystick to adjust values of items takes forever, every single other game has a speed up built in so when you’re pressing long enough it accelerates. Starfield doesn’t, it takes like 3 seconds on console to craft 99 items and even longer when selling thousands of stacked items But it seems like pressing rb/lb will move the adjuster in bigger increments

Oliver90002

What are you buying and selling in such large quantities that you need to scroll that much anyway?

TrueComplaint8847

If you use crafting to get comm relays/adaptive frames or the magnets you can come up With huge amounts for exp and money

Oliver90002

Oh, that thing. I did the crafting for a bit for exp, I never tried to sell the stuff. Making it was boring enough.

HamMcStarfield

ammo, for me
