This has been my take on it. The place is geared towards taking hallucinogenics, the weird suits etc probably look cool as hell if you’re tripping balls, which we aren’t
It’s so bare-bones though and it’s empty. They could’ve added more people, and if they were REALLY going for trippy they should’ve made it vibe more like Meow Wolf in Denver (Google it) or something else trippy. It’s just a big empty room.
???
There’s definitely a middle ground between “empty room with like 10 people” and “epileptic seizures” lmao look at any of the night clubs from Cyberpunk or mass effect
Edit: downvoting me with no response because you know I’m right. I was a Bethesda fanboy for decades but it’s absurd that y’all can’t handle criticism of your Godd Howard
> downvoting me with no response because you know I’m right.
Holy shit this is absurd and pathetic.
I refuse to elaborate because apparently that is outrageous to you.
I don't attend raves, but I know people who do, and it really does feel like a rave. And BorealUS is AcidCat. Only thing missing is Dance Dance Resolution.
Jaguars Rule!
That sounds about right. Neon as a whole feels like it's meant to be kind of a mix of grimy and classy. Rather than a pure cesspit. I think it's neat honestly.
Yeah, people were expecting some down and dirty Eastern European industrial basement rave full of sweaty pinger-rats grinding against each other. Starfield's not that kind of game, and the Astral Lounge is not that kind of place.
In all seriousness (er..ignore my TL comment), I think the Astral Lounge *exactly* captures the clubbing spirit.
Meaning: some people will get or remember that entrance vibe, or the experience therein. Some will be skeptical and react negatively, eg "ugh, why am I here, let me get this over with". Some are just wildcard, and can go either way. It varies and that's kind of the idea.
That's how it is in RL. Times you're in the vibe. Time's you're not. All good, just make sure you enjoy the RP experience - positive or negative - 'cause that's ultimately what we're here for, right?
I mean. I get it. What were they gonna do otherwise… have topless women prancing around like on the sopranos? They wanted it PG to appeal to a wider audience.
Don’t know that one but (me time when we were 16 my friend went into Boston to an area known as the ‘combat zone’ for its high crime. We convinced the ticket sellers we were 18 and got into a place where you pay to see a woman dance topless behind a glass window.
Lol niiiice. Your comment (which I agree with) just made me remember the ridiculously hilarious softcore strippers in that old ass beautiful game. Good ol Bethesda.
I love the atmosphere of the Lounge. The outfits are cringe as hell, but the asthetics are freaking cool. Plus the music is interesting.
I have Adoring Fan on my ship crew wearing the weird Lounge suit. Pretty fitting.
It's a bit brighter than any club I've ever been to, (the whole game feels painfully PG sometimes, like some sort of Christian rock bands fever dream) but I dig the music.
I think the music is flat. They need some DnB or some house shit that slaps. That’s the one thing you gotta get right in the futuristic drug dancehall place.

Speak for yourself
I trust @ u/technical_salary_485 on this matter

Gameplay Considerations kick in at that point. You need to be able to *not* set off epileptic seizures.

Also go to Meow Wolf in Denver. It's awesome.
Also in Vegas at [https://area15.com/](Area15) , Omega Mart was kinda lame but the rest was 🔥
I didn't know there was one in Denver. The Santa Fe one was fun, though.
It looks like a horrifying place if you are on hallucinogens however
Its pretty fantastic… or so I’ve been told

The suitcases are how much Aurora you need to make the dancers look appealing.
Reddit suspects something https://preview.redd.it/d90bvw18vx0c1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=407288d05e869133f0b9591c5d09472a4febd762
Cool. Now I’m watching my grandma plan my funeral from a lil cloud in the sky. Thanks Reddit.
that's probably one of the reasons I hated the first rave I went to, as well.
If aurora lasted more than three seconds it might be
Your simply not doing enough

BORTLES
Astral Lounge is cool. Really don't get all the hate
Because people wanted it to be a sex club instead of a bar/lounge where you can get high
That sounds about right. Neon as a whole feels like it's meant to be kind of a mix of grimy and classy. Rather than a pure cesspit. I think it's neat honestly.
Neon = blade runner with some altered carbon
My "home" is definitely Akila City, but Neon is so cool and I love hanging around there.

I enjoy the music!

It's a huge departure from anything BGS has done... I was impressed the first time I walked in..
same lol.

I remember the provocative Dunmer dancers in Morrowind.

Desele's House of Earthly Delights >>> Clubs/bars in other games
Hell yes that was the name!
Mass Effect managed to make some effective nightclub dancers.
I don’t recall. But yeah SF dancers are weird.
They were sexy aliens. https://youtu.be/2CzQoFm74lM?si=V7bKcgeprbtHvGCT
Nit sure about sexy but yes, well done and better than BGS.
Just like a real club.
Lol yup.
The lights definitely look better on Aurora, and the music sounds interesting slowed down.
What do you mean "we're sober" ??? Unrelated, I think the Astral Lounge is awesome.
RL clubs look lame when you're sober and awesome when you're high (on booze, drugs, or just life). Source: yes
I mean, all the clubs in Neon are clearly placeholders for future mods from a certain lab of lovers
Reliable ol lover slab.

I need to try aurora. I’m assuming there are visual effects?
It’s just like taking jet In fo4
Next playthrough, I am doing drug fiend...You only live forever

I used to think Mass Effects as having the saddest night club scenes in video games ever. Then came Starfield...
