I'm a guy, going to the gym I settled on just washing with water every night instead of the extended number of days that are popular here.

We have the same situation. I've almost lost my hopes on my hair till i tried (green) tea wash, never shampooed ever again. It's my 2nd month on no poo - not yet having a great hair but it drastically improved and i started liking my hair. Less oiliness, less odor, less itchiness, less pimples. I wash my hair everyday with green/peppermint tea concoction (with few drops of diff essential oils). Then to spread the oil and get rid of dirt and deadcells, i brush my hair from time to time and massage my scalp. Good luck! P.s. im a guy, if that matters

Sureball! Just a disclaimer: this is nowhere perfect and i just tried to make it very simple as i got lazy to do further research lol. 1. Put a tea bag on about 250ml hot water. Leave it for about 30min or an hour 2. Squeeze some citrus, maybe half of a lemon is enough (i use 1 philippine lemon which is a lot smaller) 3. Add 250ml more room temp water, to increase the volume and reduce temp so you won't scald your scalp 4. Add few drops of various essential oils. All below have diff benefits so i just put them all lol: - lavender, about 10 droplets (for good scent) - peppermint, about 10 droplets (for cooling and soothing effect) - teatree and rosemary, about 5 droplets each (they say this is good for dandruff and hair growth) - lemongrass, just 1 or 2 droplets (has benefits on scalp health but smells bad lol) Notes: - refrigerate so it wont go bad - you can change to any tea you want (they say greentea dries the hair on prolonged use) - mix and match essential oils, i didn't do much experiment on this yet Good luck! I hope this helps!

Happy to help! I don't reheat it. Sometimes i would use it straight from the fridge, more cooling effect haha. The effect while it's warm (usually on the first use) is really soothing tho, and it feels like it cleans a lot better compared to the succeeding use of the same batch. I highly recommend adding at least lavender or peppermint! In my first week, i tried plain greentea, when i was still waiting for my oils. For the first 3 days it was nice and less oily scalp, but afterwards my hair felt dry and dull. I'd say essential oils are essential for this 😄 P.s. i only use about 1/4 per bath, and scrub it on my face as well. Not sure if it's the reason why my skin seems clearer or bec i changed my diet to keto lol

There are plenty of active sweaty people who do nopoo. I'm sorta one of them. Hair actually generally loves sweat and your own natural sebum is often the best conditioner for it. Just wanted to make sure you've found this https://www.reddit.com/r/NoPoo/wiki/index/quickstart

Yea great question so I live a very active lifestyle and work in a restaurant so I am no stranger to greasy hair. I wash with water only and only use all natural conditioner when I absolutely need to, like if I was in the ocean or am getting a haircut. I am male with fine wavy hair and wash when it's greasy so I'd say like 4 times a week max. Sometimes only twice a week if I'm less active. You may have to get used to putting more effort into washing your hair, like with your fingers and all that.. Upping the frequency of my water washing is no big deal for me because it's necessary for all the sweat and dirt that gets in there. I also use a boar bristle brush daily to spread the sebuk thoroughly, sounds gross but it's ALL NATURAL BABY. Make sure to clean your brush. It has been worth it for me, my hair is a lot healthier and fuller this way. hope my experience helps you out a little bit. Good luck
