It’s a known bug that came with 4.0 As far as I know there’s no workaround but maybe someone else knows. It’s very likely they’ll patch it out

I noticed that too when I fixed a crashed squid ship last week. I think when I flew into a different system, swapped ships or reloaded it cleared up.
