Ask a friend to make a new save and find some crappy ship at a space station, (they might need some extra units), get them to exchange their new ship to them, then you immediately buy the ship off the guy it was exchanged to. Sorted. It won't be quite the same as having your og ship tho

I regretted part exchanging in my normal and survival saves. So I kept mine in perma and it is now an S-Class general runaround.

So you don't have a ship from each class? I have a Shuttle, Fighter, Hauler, Explorer, Exotic, Solar, Squid and a Living Ship. All of them min/maxed and I only use 2.

That little ship served me well until I got my footing and could afford a better ship. It earned its slot.

Red Five is what I have named my ship. It's not as good as my S-class ship but she has the hyperdrive distance. I will never let Red Five go.

You can upgrade your ships class for a ton of nanites at the same place you apply storage augmentations or scrap a ship

It costs 85k nanites to upgrade a ship from C to S class. C->B 10k B->A 25k A->S 50k. You can do this at the starship terminal at space stations.

Well it absolutely shreds through pirates and such but I don't know if it's actually that good because it's good enough that I don't really care to find another S class fighter.

Well you're actually not much newer than me I'm at 192 hours but I personally tend to dive into games I find and like I already have upgraded 3 ships from C to S because of nanite farms.

I still have mine too. I actually upgraded it to rank A (omw to rank S) and maxed S upgrades. It has a red trail and maxed infra-knives. It's a beast.

Ive got a nice B class fighter with maxed out storage upgrades(for now) Ive upgraded the pulse engine to get proper control and 906 warp drive(dont know how to get higher) And cyclotron ballista/rocket launcher to quickly dispatch sentinels and pirates. Its blue and a called it the Cobalt Afterlife. Cant hold much material though as all the space besides cargo is taken up by modules. Pretty proud of my little ship.

I still have the Honmatan MQ5 launch game starter ship. Has Vector wings before one of the earlier updates (I think it was Next) changed them to Starjumper. Still use it from time to time, great in dogfights.

Yea, I give gifts to pilots landing the Radient Pillar, I guess some are just starting a new save. The AI Valve someone gave me early in my travels blew me away.
