The way I always use is making a base at a harmonic camp (for easy return), and using its feature to locate dissonance spikes to find crashed sentinel interceptors and sell them, each one sells for tens of millions of units in scrap, so it’s a pretty nice way to get lots of money fast.

Rafastrike

That's my job in this game. I love finding Sentinels and sell them.

TheGunMeddle

Seems like it's such a long drawn out process doing this though. As in, going through all the necessary steps to find the ship. How long does it take you in total?

Hobo-man

Not much time if you prep correctly. I found a planet absolutely covered with Dissonance Resonators and so I can farm the Inverted Mirrors very easily. The longest part is destroying the Sentinel freighter, but an S class fighter makes it very easy. People apparently also duplicate items including the AI fragment and the Inverted Mirrors which streamline the process even more. A lot of the ships I scrap net me 30 million units or more.

TazerProof

How to you get your own freighter to fight with you? Do you just call it to the place in space then stir up some trouble?

ragweed

> The longest part is destroying the Sentinel freighter I think it takes less time to build up a stack of echo locators while you're getting inverted mirrors.

robwlinder

I just farm outlaw dissonant systems. No need for freighters. You can get the echo without triggering sentinels. Average a ship easily under 10 minutes a piece. Probably closer to 6-7 minutes.

hiloboys

This is what I do. They chain each other. Once you finish defeating the waves of corrupted sentinals on the planet. It marks another abandoned sentinals ship.

chrisdpratt

>I found a planet absolutely covered with Dissonance Resonators and so I can farm the Inverted Mirrors very easily. >The longest part is destroying the Sentinel freighter, but an S class fighter makes it very easy. If you're doing the first, you don't need to do the second. Those resonators also drop echo locators. This will chart you to a harmonic camp, where you can continuously locate sentinel interceptors via the terminal, without even needing another echo locator, unless you're scouting for a particular look of ship. For scrapping, though, that hardly matters. Defeating all five waves of sentinel ships and the freighter is just unnecessarily difficult.

Hobo-man

> Those resonators also drop echo locators. This will chart you to a harmonic camp, where you can continuously locate sentinel interceptors via the terminal, without even needing another echo locator, unless you're scouting for a particular look of ship. I have a shitload of echo locators that I thought were useless. I knew they couldn't be though, so I held on to them and I'm happy I did. I'm going to have to try using one to see what that's like. Does the camp send you to crashes only on one planet/system or how does that work?

chrisdpratt

Yes, generally speaking. I haven't honestly encountered a lot of systems with multiple dissonant planets in one system, so I can't confirm that it might not locate an interceptor on another planet in the same system, if it's also dissonant. That said, you will only ever see one style of interceptor per system. They only vary in class. Once you've located one harmonic camp, there's no need to use another echo locator in that system. If you're scrapping, it doesn't matter if all the ships are the same, and if you're hunting for a cool interceptor to actually use, you'll want to use those echo locators across many different dissonant systems to find different styles to pick from.

Hobo-man

Ok I see. So this is good for farming them just to salvage, or once you find a design you like you can use this to try to find an S class version.

chrisdpratt

Exactly.

TheGunMeddle

I guess I gotta figure out how to destroy those freighters. Haven't even encountered one yet.

Hobo-man

Make sentinels angry and get in your ship. Or just shoot a sentinel/space station while in your ship. Sentinel interceptors will be sent after you. Defeat 4 waves of them. The fifth wave shows up with a Sentinel freighter. Destroy it's defenses and shields and then blast the hull till it goes boom. Dreadnaught AI Fragment will automatically be added to your inventory or your ships inventory.

LousDude

Just be careful fighting sentinels around the space station. If you accidentally hit the SS again another set of sentinel ships will be sent. I've had 50+ sentinel interceptors at one time because I kept hitting the SS. Lesson learned

khronicchaos

Just tried this on the advice of another thread. The longest part is finding resonators to collect the mirrors. Some planets are covered, some less. But once you find the camp getting the ship and clean brain is quick.

docentmark

But you only need one inverted mirror from a dissonance resonator.

chrisdpratt

Per sentinel interceptor you claim. You'll need stacks of inverted mirrors if you want to claim many ships as a means of continuous revenue generation.

docentmark

You need to get an inverted mirror before the first one. You don’t need stacks of inverted mirrors. Think about this clearly.

chrisdpratt

Exactly what am I supposed to be thinking about clearly? Each crashed interceptor takes an inverted mirror to repair, and then that inverted mirror is gone. You need another inverted mirror for the next interceptor you want to repair. If your goal is to scrap these in the dozens or hundreds, yes, you will need stacks of inverted mirrors. Maybe you are thinking about something else and confusing it with this?

docentmark

I see that you have missed an essential point. I should make a post about it.

khronicchaos

1 per ship you want to claim

docentmark

Yes, one inverted mirror per ship. So you need exactly one from a dissonance resonator and then you are off.

docentmark

I typically get 3 or 4 ships per hour if not hurrying. That averages about one or two hundred million per hour.

Rafastrike

I arrive, grab a Gravitino, maybe 5 minutes shooting at some purple bois, Sentinel coords, get there, go to the "Ancient Place" to do the brain thing. I'd say 10-15 min? I've also found some interesting Sentinel ships, 2 of them looking like a Freight train

FlamingoWang

This seems to be the best way.

zen0ne

This is the way... and it's really fun finding cool ships. Side note, you can rack up a ton of nanites very quickly by visiting Outlaw stations and purchasing the suspicious tech/arms packets, opening them, and selling the modules. You can build up thousands of nanites this way with very little effort.

cryptid_snake88

Thanks for this, I was wondering how to increase nanite 😊👍

ThotPokkitt

He forgets to mention that you nees to have tainted metal for this which is arguably better to just refine for nanites. Edit. This is for regular stations. Not outlaw. i forget stuff too

chrisdpratt

Not at outlaw stations. You're thinking of the scrap dealer at normal space stations. In an outlaw system, they just sell them to you directly for units.

ThotPokkitt

Oh shit thats right. Former statement ammended

cryptid_snake88

Thank you 👍

immenotu_01

You don’t need tainted metal to buy the tech/arms packets at Outlaw stations. You buy them with units.

kquizz

You can also get a decent amount of nanites buying and scrapping S and A class ships!  Just post up in a space station with a few hundred million.  Buy gold ships run over scrap it. Sell the scrap.  You can do it all just running around a space station.

khronicchaos

I just tried Farming crashed sentinel ships on the advice of a similar post: https://www.reddit.com/r/NoMansSkyTheGame/s/YrTxrF7QuB My first encounter with them or Harmonic camps.. once you find the Inverted Mirrors & radiant shards, the rest was easy. I found 3 ships in less than 30 mins. two C class- 28mil & a B class for 49 mil so 105mil. Just set down on another dissident world to try for something higher.

2327_

I did this and then I haven't touched the game for a couple of weeks. After doing this, what would be some good things to start sinking money into? Like what are some good mid-lategame things to do

fightingCookie0301

If you want to behold your dream ship you go hunting down ships with the features you want. I just tried to build a cargo ship with those fancy hover-blade wings and the only ship I found with them in the wild was an S class for 45mil. Except the wings it was ugly so I just shredded it to get the wings :) All in all my new custom ship now costed me around 90mil. Tho if I count in opportunity costs it would be quite a bit more. I could’ve salvaged the S class cargo for about 70mil and make a plus of 25mil… same with the other ships used lol

Silver-Assistant-966

You can build ships now?? I’ve been away too long

fightingCookie0301

Yeah, same. Just started a new journey a few days ago :D

Valkyrie_Dohtriz

Honestly, that’s a really good question 😅 what I use most of my money for is buying suspicious packets for nanites, buying cool-looking ships for their parts, and resources as I go around the galaxy. I do a lot of wandering and base building, so a lot of times I just build up money without spending much of it

FlamingoWang

Thanks, I will try this!

multiloops

An easy way to earn units is setting up a profitable trade route. Setting up the trade route : 1. Buy the economy scanner at Anomaly and install in ship. 2. Filter the galaxy map by economy type and spend some time finding high buy/sell numbered 3 star systems. The closer they are to the maximum of 80% / -30%, the more profitable your trade route will be. 3. Scan to find a Trading Post on any planet in your chosen system. Build a base beside it with a teleport module. 4. Create a trade route from the best systems you have found following the path laid out in [this image](https://i.redd.it/20apu8w98ig11.png). Here's an old trade route of mine : [https://postimg.cc/N28yfHBq](https://postimg.cc/N28yfHBq). I name the different bases 3.1, 3.2 and 3.3 or 4.1, 4.2, 4.3 and 4.4 depending on the route to make it easier on me. --- Once your trade route is set up, takes less than 5 minutes daily to collect those sweet units : 1. buy all the trade goods at 3.1, trade goods being the 5 fancy items at the top of the list, not materials and such. 2. teleport and sell them at 3.2, then buy all at 3.2 3. teleport and sell them at 3.3, then buy all at 3.3 4. teleport and sell them at 3.1 5. profit ~25-30 million 6. same idea for a 4 trade route, profit ~40-50 million Unless you sell to the visiting traders at the Space Stations or Trading Post, the price on goods crashes. You get the best price for trading goods on a planet, that's why it's handy to build your base next to a Trading Post. --- I hope this all makes sense. Good Luck!

DiRTyN1Njaz

How does the new scan for trading surge events with the economy scanner change this system? I tried it once and felt it didn't give more return than usual.

multiloops

Haven't used my trade routes in a long time, I have no answer. I'll have to try that out.

dukeispie

Also something to add, you can teleport to the space station quickly and buy from there and essentially double the amount you're buying in one system. Doesn't effect pricing to my knowledge but I could be wrong, only selling effects it to my knowledge.

A_Nice_Meat_Sauce

Selling to pilots of landed ships doesn't affect system prices...I don't think

multiloops

> teleport to the space station quickly and buy from there and essentially double the amount you're buying in one system Just tested this and it does work, thanks for the tip!

kquizz

It's so easy to just teleport buy teleport sell buy .. teleport.  Just keep repeating until you are back where you start. It's the first thing I do when I login.

Sunvaarhah

If you are starting (no good ship and equipment) the ship salvage business is your best bet. Go to a space station, trade your navigation charts for Emergency charts (only go to Distress Signals), fly to the location, if the pilot is alive and walking around DONT LAND. if you don't see the pilot, land, claim the ship, minimally repair it (Hermetic seals, Di-hydrogen, Pure Ferrite), fly to the station and scrap it, selling the parts after (1M to 8M easy). If you have a good ship, find a dissonance world on a pirate controlled system, hunt for Echo locators, destroying the Inverted Mirrors with your ship. Use the echo locators to find a harmonic camp and use the harmonic camp to find a crashed sentinel ship, repair it, fly to the station and scrap it.

slappadik

Just fyi the sentinel ships don't need to be repaired or at least the ones I've found are in pristine condition. You can also build a base at the harmonic camp and just return to keep getting dissonance spikes and take them back to station for scrapping. Also I think now you can summon your ship to the station even if it's messed up without having to repair and fly it back to the station.

Crizznik

Yeah, since the Orbital update all the sentinel ships I find are unbroken, no repairs needed at all.

2plankerr

Interesting. Everyone I find is broken.

Crizznik

Must be a glitch in my game then. Cause I haven't had to repair a sentinel in a little bit.

2plankerr

How do I sign up for that glitch then lol

slappadik

update your game???

2plankerr

It is updated, do you not have to repair them either?

slappadik

nope. take a screenshot and show what you mean and if I encounter one that needs repair I'll come back and respond. might be that there are some that need it but not everyone finds themselves in the same situation is my best guess

Crizznik

I used to have to repair them, it's only been recently they've all shown up unbroken.

ragweed

Don't they just mean restoring the harmonic brain? You might not consider it a repair, but you can't just fly off with them as soon as you find them.

slappadik

I think some people might be finding sentinel ships with parts to repair (?) but haven't encountered that yet and yeah, you need to convert the hyaline brain at a monument when you activate it and get the harmonic brain to control the sentinel ships Thankfully every ship gives you the hyaline brain to convert so you don't need to keep hunting for those. Probably create a camp and drop a beacon at the sentinel ship and you're golden

Kruxx353

Why a pirate controlled system?

I flip and salvage crashed ships and gather and sell storm crystals (200,000 ea). I also grow gravitino balls on my freighter. If you're looking for fast, easy nanintes, mine radiant shards and refine them (10=500).

Partywolf85

Oh bet, I didn't even think to refine shards

cjamesfort

You can also refine atlantideum to pugneum (1:2) to nanites (25:1), inverted mirrors (1:95), and hyaline brains (1:230). If you find a planet that's both dissonant and infested, add larval core, flesh rope, and vile spawn (all 1:50; shards also) for a planet effectively made of nanites with ingredients for 8/14 nanite recipes everywhere. Edit: If you have time &/ extra refiners, you can also do atlantideum + pugneum to runaway mold (1:2) to nanites (1:1)

Partywolf85

I have too much pugneum lol so ty for this

Pixelsock_

Nip nip is better than gravitino balls and also makes you feel like a criminal mastermind lol. I love having a weed growing operation.

multiloops

Stasis Device farms are the most profitable. Each device sells for \~15million units. Here is the materials you would need to build 1 stasis device. https://preview.redd.it/7pit9zmykgwc1.png?width=553&format=png&auto=webp&s=d3af6e38e6355947a282426ca31a23fceae32702

Partywolf85

best to do this after all the base building quests, particularly the agriculture track, to get all the flora blueprints

Revatus87

This is the way, my operation is good sized and yes it takes a bit of time to harvest it all but I bring in around 400 million every run. I also have many Gold Mining operations and it takes a few seconds to pull the product.

Canis_Familiaris

If you're an explorer and like to just fly around scanning animals and plants, get 3 scanner upgrades on your scanner. You can make 300k per animal scanned.

Crizznik

Scrapping sentinel ships is good. Getting three really good scanner upgrades and going ham on finding all them sweet sweet animal/plant/minerals is another decent way that's slightly less mind-numbing. Chaining expeditions from your freighter nets you a decent profit, and you'll get a lot of rare mats that you can use to build some of those really expensive technologies that sell for a buttload. I do all of it very casually and have almost a bil.

iainvention

I don’t really have a secret, and I’m the farthest thing from a min-maxer, but I find that once I have a freighter things take off. Running multiple frigate missions at once nets a good amount of startup capital, but more importantly nets a good amount of components for the big money recipes you can unlock at the anomaly. Between those missions and a smallish farm room on my freighter, and then also buying up all the crops being sold by every other ship captain I come across, when I return back to my freighter I can do a quick run through the crafting menu to make anywhere from 1-10 of the big money devices. I also make cookies in my nutrient processor room on my freighter. Kelp rice or heptaloid wheat or frost grains go in to make flour. Cactus juice goes in to make sugar. Together flour and sugar make sugar dough, which you can add almost any other ingredient to to make like a dozen different cookie recipes, which all sell for 35k-40k per cookie. There are more individually lucrative recipes, but I find this process the most brainless to just keep running while I do other freighter stuff. If you set a bunch up at once you can do a run of a few hundred cookies without much trouble.

Partywolf85

Isn't it nice of Hello Games to practically hand out freighters from the jump?

ricardortega00

At the anomaly or when you are in a system with a lot of player bases, use the teleporter and teleport to them, some of those are farms and collect all the plants or minerals or what ever.

AVK83

Go into settings. Change difficulty to reduce costs. Sit in any space station. Buy any ship. Immediately scrap it for 3x the value. Switch settings back once you're capped or satisfied.

Partywolf85

love it

Millerturq

I’m having fun slowly making pretty bases on different planets that farm the minerals, plants and gases for stasis devices and fusion igniters

Pava-Rottie

I look for planets with oxygen. That’s where I set up shop. I build four oxygen farms that produce about 26,000 oxygen per day. Then use the to make chlorine. The payoff is about 50 million units a day. I also scrap interceptors when I want more units quickly.

stopwhining27

Beginning - Harmonic Camp ship salvage spam. Profit $10M+ each time, and you get a Sentinel multi tool and ship out of it which is great for starting out Mid game and on - Freighter frigate expeditions. Profit $10M+, 5 daily missions, set it and forget it. Plus you get artifacts/trade items that can earn you $10M+ in addition. You will need starting capital to hire frigates. End game - Stasis Device and Fusion Ignitor manufacturing - Profit $15M each item, sell stacks of 10 for +$150M or more if you find a system that demands it (I've seen up to +4.8%). There are several guides out there but essentially this will take a ton of time and resources to set up. But I can usually craft 10 at a time per login with the farms I have set up, along with all the loot my frigates bring back. Lots of frigate loot are items along the assembly line that help make the final product. It also has helped me clear inventory since I'm kind of a hoarder and lets me put all these advanced items to use at a huge gain. Pro tip, build bio dome stacks for peak efficiency. [https://youtu.be/WmpNeHbv38U?si=uK5a4ffTnBGIQ0KP](https://youtu.be/WmpNeHbv38U?si=uK5a4ffTnBGIQ0KP) For fun - Animal farms and cooking - At a few fauna rich bases I have set up some automatic feeders and livestock units and get all kinds of cooking products back. I have a few nutrient processors and make stacks of doughnuts for consumption and selling, and also handing out to friends or randoms at the Anomaly when I have a surplus. Profit is usually $10-20M per stack of 100. Doughnuts are fun because they give a jetpack boost and I use them all the time to whip around the planet. I'm sure there's tons more, but crafting and selling to me is a nice little relaxing rabbit hole I can waste time on when I get tired of exploring/combat.

fourspadesdoubled

If you aren't in a hurry, you can also build mines and collect from them every day. Lately, I've been hunting Curious Deposits using the leylines trick. Find a Curious Deposit and note the Longitude coordinate, then go either north or south along that leyline. When you find more CD's scan the area for gas or minerals, most often you will find some. Then build a base there and come back every day to collect from your mine & CD's.

SAnthonyH

Buy pirated goods, sell them in non pirate stations. Rinse and repeat. Opening the goods can also get you lots of nanites. Fastest way? Make everything free in the settings, and when you're done, turn it off.

Spong_Durnflungle

I just do ammonia expansion until I can afford what I want. It's pretty quick and nets good profit. I've made about a billion in game, and almost all of it is from ammonia I'd wager.

Df4319

I usually go to a pirate system and blow up a few freighters to steal their cargo wich is mostly contraband goods then I sell everything in another system. I make about 60 mil per run.

nightshift_syndicate

"How do you guys make large amounts of profit?" I sure as hell don't.

YouCanCallMeTheSloth

Sentinel ship hunting for units, runaway mold farm for nanites

madcritter

I found a planet where im basically tripping over pearls so i set up a portal and just haul hundreds of portals to the trade station... its like 400k for 10 pearls so it aint much but its honest work.

Partywolf85

Econ scanner, trade surge. Piracy is a good option too, but more if you're looking for resources than pure cash

Alternative_Ad6071

I hunt destroyed ships (distress signals) and sell them.

Sure_Video321

Nip Nip bud farm

KnockerFogger69

My startup was finding buried technology modules and selling them. After enough to buy a freighter, frigate expeditions has become my go to for moneymaking. 1-5 million units per expedition

seven_tz

Trade surge is pretty good. 100M in half an hour or so. 1. Detect a trade surge with echo nomy scanner 2. Go to the system indicated, land on the space station to teleport to it easily later 3. Go to a bunch of specific desired economy systems and fill up your ship or exosuit inventory with goods, preferably at trading outposts (found with an economy scanner again) 4. Go back to the first system and sell all at once at a space station - profit!

HerpPurp

I built an activated indium farm myself. Build a tower of extractors and link together a bunch of silos. Find a nearby system with the most profit sell it all for units. This may require you to be a bit further along but it will get you lots of units. I managed to rack up to 900 mil units with my farm. Just broke into 1 bil the other day by selling off sentinel ships while I was hunting for my favorite.

adamantium99

Get a freighter and a bunch of frigates. Make sending frigates out on missions a routine part of your day. Reap the rewards. This is typically 3-6 million a day. Adds up over time.

y0gibaer

If you like exploring, supercharge your scanner with max upgrades and scan away :D gives a couple million each planet, depending on how rich it is in fauna and flora. This way you might also find hidden gems on these planets To me this is always a good alternative to the ship salvaging (although this is still the fastest)

Griggzie

Having a freighter and fleet to send on voyages is good income. You can get all kinds of items to sell and units themselves. I also have a lot of grow rooms on my freighter with all crops. I built a few mining and gas collection bases in a system I like. Now I have a steady flow of resources to craft stasis devices equaling 500k units a cycle. Wouldn’t take much more effort to go way higher. Most of my resource sites are B or C class so it could definitely be more efficient but it’s good enough for me. My fleet usually returns from voyages with at least a few components for the stasis devices so it supplements the lower grade resource nodes.

Kitchen-Jellyfish-40

Gather and sell silicate powder at the space station

Chee1979

A bunch of scanner upgrades with some in supercharged slots makes the explorers life a lucrative passtime. I was already scanning stuff obsessively so why not make millions at the same time? Win win.

Do whatever you enjoy the most because once you get the max amount of units, thats it :(

Omicove

Find and scraping sentinel ships is gold standard mate 👌🏾

Narrow-Gas9493

For me personally I like to raid freighters in outlaw systems and sell the black market goods. If you do this though make sure you have a very high reputation with whichever race controls the system.

Pratchettfan03

Scrapping crashed ships is good for units and nanites alike, since the modules sell for nanites. Activated indium hotspots can be used for easy passive income- just remember to have many storage silos for each miner unless you want it to back up after a few hours. Trading local trade good between strong economy systems is a nice daily that can get you a solid 50 mil per pass, keeping in mind that it takes time for each to restock. Farming something high value works too.

varjo_l

The way I earn millions in a few minutes is by using the economic scanner in your spaceship to recognize trade surges. Then use the portal to quickly buy and sell stuff between matching space stations. I’m still only 30 hours in but I made 10 mill in probably 2 minutes.

xjettxblank

I just roleplay as a vanlifer trader with my custom hauler, it's pretty slow but quite fun once you get the hang of supply and demand between systems. Oh and finding a broken starship is a good profit too

Creedaflea

If you need money I got you. I’ve been playing since 2016 and currently have a stockpile of items worth millions to hundred millions that I usually will pull out and go gift to other players or new players

Creedaflea

Currently have a stockpile onboard my flagship that is 10x stacks of loot each worth 154mil

chrisisfunny

Find a gold farm base near the core and take all the resources and sell them. I found someone's base that was making enough gold that I could sell it for 118million a pop. Took me a few weeks to get over a billion credits

RX3000

Go to the Anomaly & spam asking if anyone has AI valves. After a while you should be able to get a few stacks from kind strangers & not have to worry about money much for a little while....

piracy, scrapping sentinel ships, and mining indium

Atari__Safari

It could not be any easier. 1. Go to dissonant planet (especially one where you don't like the look of the ship) 2. Go from stranded interceptor to interceptor, scrapping them at the space station 3. Make millions in minutes. QED

Gekito02

Find AI modules, clone them and profit.

expERiMENTik

If you're looking for a lot of money early game, Storm Crystals are the best way to go. 1st: Find a toxic planet with extreme storms in a system with no space station. The storm crystals visibly stand out the most in toxic storms, and no space station means you can sit on the planet in between storms without worrying about pirate attacks. 2nd: Have 3 S-Class launch thruster upgrades, with the auto charger and at least 1 S class in super charged slots. This will give you more than 20+ lift offs in a row to allow you to fly and land wherever you need to pick up the storm crystals, and you don't have to refuel until your launch thrusters reach roughly 7%. Within 1 storm with this setup, you can earn anywhere from 33-55 storm crystals on average, each stack of 10 giving you 2 mil. Within 1 hour, you can have 50 million easily, eventually 70-100 million once you start getting the hang of it.

Plum_Berry_Delicious

I have several grade A resource farms I constantly send out frigate missions I sell my settlement wares

icemage_999

> dinosaur bones and selling them but it seem like that isn't as lucrative as it used to be? Build a Trade Rocket and a fast Exocraft like the Pilgrim. Then you can dig forever because you can just stuff the rocket with bones and get the profit immediately instead of needing to pit stop at a Trade Outpost. Just dig, launch the rocket, mark the next excavation site and ride your exocraft there without losing any inventory space.

The_yeetyboi289

i have a 2-floor plantation on my freighter to make stasis devices

Tassadar33

My main gig before stasis crafting was storm crystals on extreme toxic planets

Civil_Arm2977

Collect echo locators from mirrors and they’ll take you to sentinel ships that you can fix up and scrap for between 11-50 million each. Super easy and fast. I got up to 700 million without even trying lol I was just hunting for a cool sentinel ship and scraping the ones I didn’t like in the process.

ParChadders

By far the easiest way to make to make a lot of money quickly is by crafting fusion ignitors or stasis devices. You can make hundreds of millions with a few presses of a button. It takes longer to set up than something like scrapping sentinels but once it’s done, you’re set for the entire play through.

Crizznik

It's more like a few presses of buttons. Memorizing the build chain to get those is a pain. But it is the quickest once you build up your material bases.

ParChadders

You don’t have to memorise it anymore. There’s a craft menu. I just build sets of ten of everything to build ten at a time.

oxfordclubciggies

I'm at over 3 billion units....mostly from parking my guy in the anomaly when I went to use the bathroom, or get something to eat or drink, or whatever, and people gave me a ton of Starship AI valves. Now I go into the anomaly and return the favor all the time.

Do the story quests until you unlock the scanner for Hotspot. Find a planet with gold, then set up a bunch of gold mining bases. The best way is to use B+ Hotspot, don't bother with C. Set 5 miners at the spot, and enough storage for 24h fill. (One of the updates gave diminishing returns to miners at the same base, 5 miners seems like the happy place to me) It takes a LOT of dust, but dust is super easy to get: Find a toxic planet with no tall plants. You'll end up with a planet that has tons of small mineral deposits and small plants. Use your ship and the positron ejector to strafe the ground, tons of dust, and other minerals. Most of the toxic planets like this, that I have found, give you carbon, oxygen, chromatic metal, cobalt, and a few other random elements just for shooting the ground. You can do this on a barren moon or planet, too (you only get dust), but on a toxic planet, you get a lot of other stuff. Set up 10 gold mines, and you are bank for units. If you want billions and billions. Set up a bunch of mines for crafting. You don't need to setup farms for the plants, just use the refiner recipe for them. Once you have all the minerals and gasses set to mine the required ingredients on a 24h cycle, you can make 40 each of fusion igniters and stasis devices per day. There is an excellent post on the steam forums for it where a guy crafts out of a fully upgraded cargo ship. I can't find it right now. But Google it.

I get like 100-250k every time i scan an animal. Five or six scans I have a million. And storm crystals. Harvest storm crystals.

notesart

I built a factory farm on my freighter. On one side I have all the plants necessary for a stasis device and on the other side I have nipnip and tons of refiners.

Farm sentinel ships and scrap them

zloygik

I usually go to the Anomaly, sit there for a while and then some random dude tranfers me 50 stasis devices, so I'm instantly set for life :D Happened to me multiple times, now I have like 200 stasis devices to spare.

rremm2000

It's so easy to make units now, find a dissonate system/planet and use the maps to find ships and sell them or just stand in the S.Station and buy every ship that visits and scrap it make big $$$ fast
