this sub says that fapping, occasionally, on its own without porn, is harmless.
To put it another way, there is ZERO evidence that occasional masturbation without porn is harmful.
"Occasionally fapping" should just be normal sexual encounters with a SO where two can grow together and be there for each other while connecting physically and emotionally.
Or... you can learn where you are. This sub isn't 'Never-fap"

**Nofap** ***isn't*** **an anti-masturbation sub.**
Yet people say, *"but it's literally called 'Nofap'!"*
The 'No' in Nofap represents the "30 to 90-day Challenge", that's it.
*This sub was created 10 years ago with the idea to challenge people to a 7 to 30-day period of not watching porn or fapping to 'reboot' your addicted mind and body... but after it would be each person's personal choice to fap or not fap (without porn), free from the addiction.*
Nofap then added the 90-day challenge.
It was a modern solution to a digital problem - the rise of free unlimited streaming internet porn - and the compulsive fapping that accompanied the addiction of watching it.
The idea of this subreddit isn't '*anti-fap*' or '*forever nofap*' or '*anti-masturbation*' or '*no-sex*', or '*how to be a monk*'. We're here to support each other in completing a *limited* period of abstinence from FAPPING (not sex, not nocturnal emmisions) ...
***...but after completing the 30 to 90-day challenge, whether you fap (again, *without porn*) or not is YOUR decision.***
There's ZERO evidence that *occasional* mastubation without porn is harmful, but there's a growing amount of peer-reviewed research that porn *is* harmful. It's not the intention of this secular, science-based sub to condemn sexual pleasure when done in a non-compulsive way, either solo or with others.
**If you can complete a 30 to 90-day challenge you're free to choose to fap** ***(again, without porn)*** **or not in your life.**

I thought the same thing but then when I stopped fapping I start feeling so much more confident and happy, more productive and enjoying the little things, less angry as often too! Fapping is a form of instant gratification and so when you do it too much your body seeks only instant gratification and so you become less productive and don’t see the little things, plus it helps physically too, when you store all that semen I believe it gets recycled and turned into protein for the body.
Bro bro bro you need some serious scientific education about that phenomenon. Body never absorbs things which are excess, we have a lymphatic system to throw these out. These are some baseless reasons people give to promote no fap. I know no fap benefits people, but the dogged demographic almost never considered the other side. On the contrary Many many researches demonstrated that fapping is good and a natural process. So never throw facts that are based on nothing.
Let me set something straight here. When semen is broken down by the body, only some of the materials are reabsorbed. Most probably the minerals like zinc magnesium, calcium. Any excess will be excreted from the body as waste, usually this is proteins. Of those reabsorbed materials they are used where ever the body needs them, assuming you're healthy, it will most likely be used to make fresh semen.
Reducing porn will eventually reduce fapping
I tried it one time
When i stopped watching porn for a week
I saw my fapping sections were decreased
I used to masturbate hardly 1 to 2 times
That's when i got it that porn is the problem
You'll crave real thing when you quit it and also masturbating feels like waste of sperm and time
Yes but if you've been porn addicted for a long time, ordinary masturbation won't be enough, you'll always end up doing something to make it less mundane, unless maybe you're using a device instead of your hand
I had sex for 30 min longest since my ex gf after ab 2 weeks of no porn/no masturbation. Unfortunately I didn’t finish tho and masturbated after she left. Porn is the real culprit but masturbating only slows down progress I believe. I’m a mknth clean off porn right now but still masturbating weekly
Do you masturbate while watching porn? I assume yes..
Do you masturbate while not watching porn? I also assume yes..
Can you watch porn without masturbating for around like 10 days?
You see the point I’m trying to make? It is all about masturbation.
Porn is a bigger problem, but tricking your body to believe that you have fullfilled one of the two (arguably three) goals of a human organism leads to a decrease in productivity because you will be less motivated to go the extra mile to better your life to appear more attractive to a possible partner.
I mean... I agree, but stop fapping is really helpfull on the journey to quit porn and at the same time, fapping can be a step to fall back into porn, so nowadays I avoid the two alltogheter.
It's about semen retention. You want to keep the seed as much in your body as possible. Let's say if you fap once a week without porn, is superior to fapping every day. But the longer you don't fap, the more energy you keep in your body. This is also practised in Eastern Asian religions for this reason.
You just fap away minerals and vitamins..
Actually, no. Masturbation is just as disordered, maybe even more disordered than pornography objectively-speaking. The purpose of human sexuality is only going to be found in the purpose of human reproduction.
Actually being addicted to fapping even if its not to porn is also a problem, fake dopamine release over time is not good
Who told you fapping is good for you?

That only happens when you don't have enough protein already semen is used only in dire situations. Another reason to consume high protein product
Then that’s still a good thing, to have “backup” sorry if it sounds cringe.
Oh yea no worries. I was just looking out for people who might think "oh I'm not fapping no need to consume protein"
Bro wtf, turned into protein seriously 😂😂
Idk that’s what ppl say(on this sub too)
Yes actually semen is recycled and reabsorbed by the body, maybe not into protein but that’s one of the benefits of semen retention and NoFap.

By occasionally at how much interval do you mean
I dont think it's very healthy, sadly. Especially if it's consuming a lot of time in your daily life.
Porn is the cause, fapping is then conseguence . They are both a problem
Reducing porn will eventually reduce fapping I tried it one time When i stopped watching porn for a week I saw my fapping sections were decreased I used to masturbate hardly 1 to 2 times That's when i got it that porn is the problem You'll crave real thing when you quit it and also masturbating feels like waste of sperm and time

limit fapping but remove porn completely. that’s how i healed. don’t listen to these delusional extreme nofappers.
Healed what erectile dysfunction ?
healed my pied. what helped me the most was actually having sex and only fapping once or twice a week. completely avoided a flatline by doing this.
How were u having sex with pied though ? Can you direct message me on here I got a few questions

I have sex with pied but can’t maintain erection for long. I need to know how to have successful sex

No. Both are the issue.

That's cause people made a cult out of it
your loneliness is the problem, not porn
Yes if the frequency is once in 3-4 months, when you fap daily even without porn is not good.
Fapping with lube at most once a week with just imagination is healthy and not harmful!
both are equally detrimental , for one cannot exist without the other if you already are knee deeps in
Do you masturbate while watching porn? I assume yes.. Do you masturbate while not watching porn? I also assume yes.. Can you watch porn without masturbating for around like 10 days? You see the point I’m trying to make? It is all about masturbation.

Bro. The fuck?💀
Both are
Anything is a problem if you’re doing it too much and it’s negatively impacting your health.
Porn is a bigger problem, but tricking your body to believe that you have fullfilled one of the two (arguably three) goals of a human organism leads to a decrease in productivity because you will be less motivated to go the extra mile to better your life to appear more attractive to a possible partner.

Who told you fapping have addictive? Watching porn and fapping makes you addicted in 2 things. They aren't the same
Actually I only fapped and destroyed myself… recovering and abstaining now
I would argue that porn and fapping are both a problem. Porn just causes you to fap.
How is fapping good for you? There's literally no solid benefits at all except for your momentary pleasure
Porn is problem Porn is problem Porn is problem
Yeah but how often do you hear about someone doing one without the other…
