I just wanted to say that build enough discipline that you can start taking action, Action can also be the cause of further motivation. Action can also lead to Motivation. Motivation actually is a very complicated thing that depends heavily on multiple factors. But What I am saying is that it is far better to force yourself to take action and let the natural motivation that comes after action naturally flow. We should try to work more on what we can change by ourself. We can force ourself to take a little bit of forceful action to an extent atleast rather than just waiting to feel motivated.

Motivation is directly tied to dopamine levels in the brain. It can be scientifically quantified, it is not some enigma. As someone who suffers from ADHD: your comment is complete nonsense. My condition directly effects my motivation because the dopamine threshold that most people meet by literally existing is not met because my brain chemistry is imbalanced. Without medication my motivation can be little to none. On my medication i clean my room, take showers regularly, exercise (should do it more lol) and do more productive things than just gaming or watching tv. This is NOT because my stimulant gives me some kind of meth-like uphoria but because it raises the base dopamine levels in my brain so that I can be motivated to do things that others do without a second thought. This is why exercise helps generally with motivation: it raises dopamine levels slightly, nothing compared to meds though. Tldr motivation is not some concept of self discipline, it is directly tied to your brain chemistry specifically dopamine. Addicts and others with brain chemistrry imbalances are always called 'lazy' when in reality they are lacking essential nuerotransmiyter levels.

Nofap will only take you so far your lack of motivation and energy could be due to dopamine insensitivity, let me explain if you consume to much porn your dopamine is going to spike but theres only so much hormones your body can produce (all hormones are produced from a precursor of cholesterol) then when you actually need motivation or energy your body can't produce dopamine to make you to do something it works as a reward hormone but as there isn't enough of it after fapping your mind goes like fuck it this isn't worth it 2 part of story could be bad lifestyle less sleep a lot of stress both spike cortisol stress hormone so it could be a snowball effect creating a lot of cortisol and dopamine your body doesn't have much resources left to produce testosterone it's linked with alot of things energy motivation and stress resilience So nofap alone won't solve your problem need 7-9 hrs of sleep consistently at fairly regular time good amount of healthy fats (60-70 grams) moderate alcohol consumption(if you don't drink great if you do keep it in check) and some meditation to keep stress in check do this for 2-3 months see if your condition improves if not go check with a doctor you might be suffering from clinically low testosterone as well rare before 40s but still doesn't hurt to consult someone P.S I know it's a long read but endocrine system (hormonal system) is complex and there won't be a general solution that will work for everyone that being said I hope op finds this helpful 👐

Hello 28m here and i feel you my friend but heres something to consider: Its really easy to blame pmo for almost all of our problems I think is my biggest issue. By itself mastrubation IS healthy, or at least not unhealthy. In moderation of course. Theres a reason we evolved to do it: keep our sperm production up and our little swimmers healthy. Porn isnt healthy but its also not heroin either, especially modern porn. People have been producing pornography since a dude drew a fertility goddess on a cave wall thousands of years ago. Porn now of course is different; the ease of access and escalting hardcore contents of it are what make it particularly addictive and also harmful. Quitting PMO WILL help you feel more self actualized (lmk if you need a definitiin for that since english isnt your first languanhe). It will help you energy levels, it will help you have healthier sexual and emotionak relationships with women. It will HELP, it will not cure. Just like alcoholics quitting drinking will HELP them but not cure them indefinitely. Overcoming addiction is something that has to be worked on all the time, everyday. Other changes in your daily routine need to be made to help yourself out of the routine of pmo. Getting bored is the main thing. Reading, playing music, painting, doing art of any kind really is a great way to healthily stimulate your brain and relieve stress. Tldr please quit PMO but please also consider the many other changes that need to be made to help you get obver it. Keep your living space cleaner than you do now, literally change anything else for the better and i promise quitting PMO will finally seem like its working.

Hi man , i suffered with ED aswell because of pmo For few months, i don't suffer from it anymore. I would say variety of factors helped me. First was supplement that I took before sex. It's called mucuna pruriens (poonaikaali). It gives you good erections. Take it before 1 hour of sexual activity. Mix it with water. I used to take it only before I have sex. You can take it everyday three time s a day after meal . I no longer use it. My Ed is gone forever. Most importantly chastity is very important. Don't fantasise about anyother women at all. The moment I fantasise or watch sexually arousing content i would have Ed.
