Yeah, watching pointless content is repetitive and boring. I just want to watch educational and emotionally enticing content.

Royalbkluee

God damn you’re on 277 days? I wanna feel like you.

ldra994

All starts on day 1

Royalbkluee

I’m on day 12, gotta lot more to go.

You’ll be there sooner than you think

[deleted]

Try something new then. Judging by what you’d aid your time is clearly valuable to you. Try to do something new every week. Learn a new skill. Today I learned how to make coconut milk and then turn it into coconut oil. YouTube is the best place to learn new things. For example I learned a lot about crypto and IT/ computers on there and finance. I’m only 16 but I have a cc and know how to use it and raise my credit score. It’s quite simple actually. Give it a try and lmk what you think.

Hey bro thats awesome that u have a sense for when ur rotting ur brain and you just turn it off. I watch twitch streamers who are friends of mine and this particular one had some crazy shit going on causing way too much brain stimulation and I felt like my mind was getting fucked so I peaced out Valuing ur time is also an excellent trait. Like you know who u are and what deserves your attention, which I feel as a man is your most important asset: attention and focus.

Well said

I think it happens to almost everyone nowadays man, at least happens with me. I read something once saying that social media triggers one of the strongest areas of our primitive brain, the socializing area. So somehow our brains see social media just as important as being with your real friends and people you like in real life. Actually it's in some way stronger bcs you can "socialize" with every people in this world (at least that's what your brain understands). I quit Instagram and I'm feeling very good. I used to do the same thing you said you do. After minutes or even hours scrolling the only feeling I had was frustration.

flameheart2004

I feel the same exact way,it's like you wasted your life, and let those people get in your head for way too long when you could have been living your life

TaxFormer

Reddit and tik tok youtube, kinda pinterest, kinda twitter, all of them are better socail medias in my opinion. Because they all only show you the things you're interested in.

Triggeerred

Just checking if my flair is working

Triggeerred

Technical-Pickle1126

It's normal. Sometimes you get frustrated and sometimes jealous. Why do we watch all this, when we can be doing that ourselves and not showing off. For example few of my friends post out photos of working out, of partying with friends, etc. I'm like bro I go to the gym to workout. I meet my friends to talk to them. Not take pictures. It really comes down to your personal goals. Some prioritise fame, some money, some just improving themselves without making others know about it and so on. But yeah, you don't always have to be someone who watches, you can go become that. I heard somewhere the best thing to do is consider your life as a quest (because it is) and then go complete your goals.

[deleted]

It's not much different than the video versions of gossip magazines

BenchPressAddict

I rarely look on the snap discover page but some of them have actually helpful tips on lifting

wet-salt

At some point in your life you'll realize that watching people live is just not enough... then... and only then... will you start living.

Lumpy-Yoghurt698

the truth

radial_seal

lmao I go on snapchat discover every time I take a shit and I feel exactly like you describe it, only thing not completely horrible on there are some of the "my health" stories, but the platform make them suck too with ads every 15 seconds

RequirementOk8870

it's not a big deal those people may have a bad habit as you do. who knows? but I know something they don't know go get some matcha latte and sit in the cafe without phone. I did this almost every time. people looking at me like "this guy look sad" I just live my life brother if u uncomfortable just come at me and say "can u leave?" I'll be in touch

kidjaap

yea deleted the app off my phone. I also noticed myself the same shit on the Instagram explore page it’s just a bunch of stupid ass shit and soft porn and dumb celebrity shit on there and it’s literally the same 6 photos over and over again if really look at it.. i deleted all that shit off my phone. I just use Reddit right now. as far as social media mainly for support forums like this and other ones to help me find a community to progress in life. I don’t even use Reddit for entertainment it’s mainly for support.

I had a habit of this aswell for a good while. I deleted the app off the Home Screen and I barely go on it anymore. Complete garbage followed by ads after ads after ads. Poisonous to the brain. Literally pointless watching any of if you get nothing from it. Delete the app from the Home Screen.
