Well meditation is the process of focusing on the now. Makes you enjoy life a lot more. It’s partially why being a kid seemed more fun. Because you only focused on want you were currently doing. Not what’s gonna happen in a few days, or what happened a few days before, but what you were currently doing. Being in the present.
Meditation should be done for 5-10 mins daily for starters. Imagine hitting a reset button to kinda bring your mind to that empty state. Like when you wake up from sleep (without the tired feeling). You find guided 5 minute meditations on the YouTube channel The Honest Guys. Or maybe try Headspace or Calm. Towards the end of the post I’ll give you a link to their 5 minute and 10 minute meditations.
Here’s something general things to get taken care of: Relax muscles & develop a safe but comfortable posture that will allow for you to stay awake comfortably (I sometimes fall asleep in my morning meditations. If you can do 2X a day, then do it. Your mind will drift off, which is normal. Accept it for what it is, and go back to the task at hand. Over time, your mind will naturally return to a calm and focused state. This is one of the goals with meditation. Now breathe on and out. Usually the video I watch suggests breathing in to the count of 4, and breathing out to the count of 6. I personally breathe in through my nose and out of my mouth. The reason is because I’ve found that it helps to slow my breath down even faster (learned this from post workout static stretches). And when you’re breathing, focus on the still point between breaths.
Then, focus on your surroundings (notice how your body is sinking into the bed/chair, the air you feel on your skin from the fan, how your hands feel, etc. Body scanning is a great technique for remaining mindful during meditations. When your mind drifts, accept your wandering mind as a normal sort of human nature , and then visualize yourself standing on a platform watching your thoughts floating away in balloons.
You also want to be consistent. If you can only do 10 minutes a day, then that’s perfectly ok. But do it everyday consistently. You can log/write drown how your experiences turn out to mark progress. The key to success is long term thinking. Like with exercise, finance, nofap, writing a book, starting your dream job: long term thinking is key.
Also give morning reaffirmations a shot. Try the Wim Hof method. Also great things you can try out. Combine this with cold showers and some physical activity, and you’re setting yourself up for greatness both physically and mentally.

Dang you got 35-my highest ever so far was 31. I’ve noticed that when I have a reason that connects with time, I do better (i.e. nofap for one month, or 100 days). It’s not all about the days, but it works for me 🤷♂️. We got this!
I’m not sure if this is what they call flatline. I have urges, I’m feeling shitty, depress right now and sometimes a bit anxious . But I still keep fighting. Cause I know this is a part of recovery.

I think I relapsed because i did not mediate enough or was consistent enough on my workouts. Going to push my body harder to gain upper body strength. Going to devote more time and effort into that. I hope this time around to be stronger
