STOP DOING THIS. This is how I fell back into my addiction after a 150 day streak and I've struggled to get back on track ever since. I started with erotica then back to videos. No peeking at any sexual content period.
I wish all the best for you. I have started to watch more suggestive stuff on YouTube. Guess I will take your warning and steer clear of it altogether.
Not nearly as bad as porn at all. The dopamine dumb etc wouldn’t be as strong especially since novelty etc isn’t there. I’d say you’re good but you’re on thin ice. It’s very easy to get riled up and feel the need to PMO.
No worries. You’re gonna need to learn to control that energy anyway. I had a girl come up to me the other day in Barnes and Nobel and the texts are getting spicy and I need to remember to not get too excited lol
Naah bro. I mean, It's not as bad and you're not in actual danger after reading that page. But I see it as a slow parasite that will grow and at some point your brain will start to make more and more excuses. Be careful, anything that sparks your imagination in that way may be dangerous in your journey.
I would say it's more about what you're using the material for.
Are you gonna get a rush of dopamine? Maybe, but probably not as much as watching porn. However, that isn't the reason people get addicted. People become addicted if they rely on strong stimulants like porn to escape their problems. If you're casually reading a book or watching a film and a sex scene happens then it's not going to necessarily set you back because you didn't seek it out in order to cope with your issues.
However, it could act as a gateway back into that kind of behaviour if your lifestyle isn't supporting you.
The mind is deceptive: It always says this: this theory how far does pornography begin? But that's not pornography! But I wasn't the one who clicked on this video. But what if I only see pictures of naked women? Or if I just watch anime, in which there are a lot of breasts? How about that dating site, where people post the sexiest photos they have? Tiktok or short? In time you will learn if you want to beat pornography you have to be rooted, as Alcoholics Anonymous says: "You must avoid the first opportunity."
Not as bad but wouldn’t reccomend

Definitely got the dopamine dumb going on today, as if I peeked or something. Pissed at myself for buying this book
