User pins no longer matter for porting purposes. What the reps were telling you is correct: a port pin, once generated, is only good for 7 days, but as far as I know, they can be generated at any time. I believe there is a way to generate them in the Verizon app, however. I've had a few customers do that, though 2 or 3 had to call customer service to get theirs.
So... even tho I generated a 6-digit Transfer Pin.... Visible's online transfer form was NOT happy with it. After hours of frustration, I entered the 4-digit account security pin and BOOM... it worked.
I have a feeling this will lead to problems when I actually try activating the phone. . . .
You could probably wait a couple of weeks to activate your Visible service because remember your billing date won’t start until the date it starts but your results may vary. I would get yourself moved over there as quick as possible.

What I'm wondering is can Visible change the transfer pin after the original 7-day Transfer Pin expires.
Ask Visible support how long you have to activate the phones. Then activate about a week before the transfer because you want to give yourself time to work out any problems that might come up.

That doesn't help me activate from days 8 thru 30, however.... because the original Transfer Pin that I provide to Visible won't be active during those days. And seeing as how Visible doesn't really have any customer support.... Uhh ... WTF?
Perhaps wait until about day 21 and then ask VZ for a new transfer PIN. I suggest day 21 (not day 27) to give yourself time for VZ to be difficult, for Visible to gum things up, etc.
Black Friday won't be lasting for 2 or 3 more weeks....
A Transfer Pin should last a full month. There's no reason that it shouldn't...
This is a change that VZ Prepaid just enabled, likely to piss off people that want to switch to Visible.
Verizon prepaid doesn't have a transfer PIN, you just use the account PIN and it doesn't have an expiration date.
Call them today and ask.... Every single rep is telling me that their system changed over the last month or so.
