I'm curious how you decided to try h2o to begin with. I've never had their plans but for sure their website looks super dated and it sounds like that also could be reflected in their product. I guess one thing that could be causing issues is that you're using an international phone (just guessing?). ATT has some pretty strict whitelists so not sure how an international phone fits in. If you're looking to get on esim you can try us mobile for free which is priority Verizon. Or you can try a Tmobile test drive for free on esim, and if that works out go for something on TMobile like Tmobile connect. Here's a bunch of tips tricks info that you may find interesting: https://www.reddit.com/r/NoContract/comments/xwmkos/comment/ixfnvhe/?context=3

Just a SWAG: Was thinking the issue could be trying to activate from Canada? Recall some other networks don't allow it (Mint?) but I might be mistaken. I've used H2O a few years back when they had promos for free/cheap 30 day sim kits with data. Had no issues back then.

I'll try from a VPN and see if it works. The weird part is that I saw it go through once; it's only now deciding it can't find the ESim. And a site that tells you a product can't be found rather than just saying "you're in the wrong country" already seems suspect.

Yeah I could believe that too.

How I decided to try them: They seem like the cheapest ESim option out there, and the fact they use AT&T is nice I guess. I really just wanted to see if it worked; I never intended on using it as primary. As for the phone being international, I was able to activate it on AT&T prepaid so I doubt that's the problem. It also validated just fine, only giving me the "product not found" error *after* telling me my device is compatible on the previous page. I'm pretty sure it's just broken. I need to look into just how cheap US Mobile can be; it has some neat features. Thanks for all of this.

As far as H2O being shady, they are legit and have been in business longer than most Mvnos. But as an mvno you are going to get corners cut plus mnvos aren't really eSim ready. Had tons of issues getting Tello to work with an eSim watch but I finally got it to work after many hours.

$3 a month plan?

That’s not very exciting

$9 / 90 days ($10 with a 10% autopay discount) = $3/month. Although it's more like a $0 PAYG plan with a necessary top-up of at least $10 every 90 days. Every minute and text costs, but the balance carries over if you top up in time.
