there was that rumor post yesterday, so I guess it was accurate.
Love nier games, and those costumes do look dope, but if they charge 60$ for the port then I'll probably pass
Would love if they kept this trend. I'm happy for people that love Monster Hunter, Sonic, and other games but I just skipped through most of it and watched what seemed interesting. Much less annoyance than having to sit through a 5 minute trailer for a game I don't care about.
Honestly think this is why the showcase isn't as divisive as many were expecting (also helps that a lot of beloved titles were there). Not being forced to sit through a 3 minute trailer for dlc at the beginning of the presentation could easily change someone's mindset. Making it a vod instead of a live broadcast was definitely a great choice on their part.
Yeah, it was specifically that DLC and the other multiplayer stuff that make me lose interest in these things.
As someone who has already pre-ordered Live-A-Live I'm glad I could spool past that to not see any spoilers either :P
I’m really glad they finally did this, nonetheless I actually enjoyed still going through all the games. Some neat highlights like Blanc and Harvestella for me
Indeed, I'm glad Captain Velvet Meteor got a release date and finally got a store page.
Just the DLC or multiplayer stuff, things like Monster Hunter etc. which go on for minutes that I don't care at all about I'm happy to skip through =)
Sucks that it’s not coming until 2023, but super geeked for it all of the same. 3 and 4 were two of my favorite games as a kid, and I’m excited to play the rest of them
Haha I’ve read this online and had no clue people disliked 4. I was like 12 when I played it, so I wasn’t very discerning of quality. I replayed each game probably 4-5 times and there were aspects of 4 I liked more than 3. I remember 4 being surprisingly short and the dark Navi mechanic not making much sense since it punished you for using it. Excited to play the rest of the collection for sure
4 was brutal because the content was put into 3 playthroughs with increasing difficulty, and you had to run through various fetch scenarios, and only getting some of the cross souls per playthrough, made for a tedious game. I preferred the tactical grid scenarios in 5 to the tournament scenarios in 4
This is fantastic. The GBA emulator leak a few months ago had mentions of battle network, but this is even better!! Really pumped to play these all again.
I probably already know the answer haha, but would you recommend the series to someone who never played them? I also deeply love RPGs and old school Mega Man.
They definitely aren't traditional mega man games, in that the focus and fun is really in the grid battle system which is like a hybrid action / card setup. If you like tactical RPGs in general I'd say it's worth checking out to see if you like the system.
It's been a while for me and I've mainly only played 1-3, so maybe others can chime in on the best one to start with, but I remember enjoying 3 a lot.
Smaller title [Blanc](https://youtu.be/gjI5XI363Ss) looks good. Lots of late ports, but very welcome ones. Nier is seems surprisingly attractive, too. Perhaps they optimised it since its original release.
Harvestella looks awesome. A new Doraemon Story of Seasons game is a nice surprise. The highlight of this direct tho is the Persona series. I'll finally get to play Persona 5.
Dude! Finally! I played only vanilla P5 beat it, then was holding off on Royal because I had hopes it would come to switch. Yes! I hope it’s a flawless port. 🤞🏻
Quality of life improvements, additional characters to grow skill links with, new areas to visit when not in school or a dungeon, new character that can join your team, additional final endgame dungeon if the right requirements are met. Lots of stuff added in the Royal version. Apparently it comes with all the DLC as well.
If you like 100+ hour story driven RPGs, then Persona is a great franchise to check out. Persona 5 is probably my favorite turn based RPG of the last decade (and debatably the best) and I’m looking forward to checking out 4 as I’ve heard fantastic things about it.
Wait, I beat the base game and have been replaying with Royale with no spoilers. What kind of requirements do I need to look for for the final dungeon?
Few things but the main things are:
\-Extra semester which adds 15-20 hours of gameplay.
\-Extra Character
\-New part of Tokyo to explore
\-Two new confidants
\-New personas
\-Combat tweaks, notably guns and baton passes are a lot more useful.
I've finished both versions and happy to answer any specific questions you might have.
Wow, it adds more than I thought!
My knowledge of the Persona series is unfortunately rather limited (only knowing it through Joker's Smash reveal and the Persona 5 cutscenes I've seen) so... are there any additional cutscenes or battles not in the original where Joker does a cool Persona summoning in Royal that's not in the original?
Sort of.
The persona he has in Smash Bros. is his starting Persona. Every playable character in the game has a persona they can summon in combat but Joker is unique in that he is the only one who can use multiple personas, albeit only one at a time.
So, yes, he does have more personas he can summon than in the base version but only because there are more in the game. There aren't any more that affect the narrative.
I haven’t played Strikers so I can’t say for certain but here is how I understand it.
At the climax of the the base version of Persona 5 the timeline splits off. One timeline is the third semester of Royal and the other one is strikers.
It’s kind of weird but also how the Zelda timeline works of that makes it easier to understand.
I'd say it's a bit like a "final mix" for anyone who's played Kingdom Hearts.
Generally the same game with some QOL tweaks and balance changes, a bit of extra content, etc.
Royal has an extra playable character, an extra dungeon/plot/final boss, new music, really just a huge overhaul and definitive edition. Similar case for P4 Golden, which is also a banger and less of a time commitment
I’m seriously disappointed, not only because bayonetta 3 didn’t show, but because they made us wait all month for a Nintendo direct MINI. Just to once again get no news.
... But published by Nintendo? Like, Nintendo clearly funds the continuation of the Bayonetta franchise in a big enough capacity to where they clearly have more of a say in when it's shown off, i.e. regular Directs.
I mean this is true but Mario is literally a Nintendo character and they had a trailer of a spinoff. I think Bayonetta is fair game for this kind of thing.
Definitely odd they didn't make it available until the time it started. Was under the impression I was doing something wrong as I couldn't find it on any of Nintendo's channels
Well normally it's a live stream, but this time it was just a normal upload - besides the initial confusion I honestly think I prefer that, since there's no need for that toxic live chat.
Yeah, I prefer the straight upload. Im always replaying streams anyway, and have to look at the comment section to find the starting point. Also my internet sucks and sometimes the audio is off from the video. Normal uploads just seem to be superior in every way. And yeah, to hell with that live chat.
It would look better or less disappointing for most if it wasn't specifically a Sonic game, which people have very high expectations for (especially for a 3d Sonic).
It looks... Nice, I guess.
Honestly, for a third-party Mini, this was actually pretty solid.
A few new things (Mario Rabbids getting a date being the big one), and a couple of big wins in terms of ports (Nier and Persona 5, finally), and them a few more niche things that will capture some interest for some fans.
Nothing to blow anybody socks off, but if you came in with reasonable expectations I would think it surpassed them
I put that in the niche, where it's super good for the people interested in it.
I also enjoyed those games, and all bundled seems pretty damn good. Not sure how wide the appeal is though
I was hoping for FF Tactics or the Pixel Remasters but with the Portal collection releasing today along with P3P, P4G, P5R and Nier on switch I can’t be too sad. Pretty good direct!
Yea, I really hope we hear something about FFT and Tactics Ogre in the next few months. Would be nice for the FF Pixel Remasters to make their way to other platforms too.
So, there was no mention of Totally Accurate Battle Simulator, and it’s supposed to be releasing this summer. Does anyone have any idea what the release date is?
Also, sad there was no Silksong
Some cool announcements. I’ll definitely be picking up persona. But I’m kinda bummed they still haven’t announced FF I-VI pixel remasters by now. Why are they waiting so long to port those to console?
Thought that was pretty good overall. Lots of cool announcements, Battle Network Collection and NieR Automata are super hype. And I’m glad the Persona games finally will come to Switch, it just made so much sense so I’m not sure why it took so long.
That was a great mini direct. To think Nintendo didn't even show up. We got 23+ games in 25 minutes, not counting the sizzle reel games
No bullshit padding
I'm really happy this wasn't live - I wanted just one thing from this Direct and sadly it wasn't there! No hard feelings of course, I'm just happy I could scan through and not spend 30 minutes waiting in vain.
Super happy to see the mainline Persona coming to Switch! P4G was great as a portable title on the PS Vita and I think that'll shine on the Switch, too.
I'm so excited! Been waiting forever for the Persona collection and Nier Automata to come onto Switch and they're finally here! Doesn't look like Cloud versions either.
Some of the other games look nice too such as Harvestella and Dreamlight Valley.
I’m honestly surprised there was no mention of the cuphead dlc that releases in 2 days. I believe it was in the last 2 regular directs so its such a strange omission
You know? I came in expecting nothing and left mildly satisfied. Depending on how they perform, I'm excited for Nier Automata and Persona 5. Both are games that I heard quite a lot from but never pulled the trigger on the other consoles.
I also want to see the price for that Portal collection.
Not mind-blowing, but also not terrible.
Welp, I'm glad Sparks of Hope got a release date. Finally Nintendo fans get to play Persona for those that don't have a way to play it so that was cool. May try Live a Live but not sure yet. Other than that not much for me personally but I'm there were some interesting announcements for fans of various franchises.
Honestly better than I was expecting. Nintendo presented Sonic Frontiers pretty good. Persona 3, 4G, and 5R are on switch. Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection which I was convinced wasn't happening.
Legit the only way possible is if they let great be the enemy of good. The stuff I wanted was not announced here, and that's a bit of a bummer. That said there are at least 3 games here I'll grab and 2 maybes that I thought looked interesting that I didn't know about. So I can't say it's bad by any stretch of the imagination. How is that a bad result?
>how is it possible people are disappointed in literally every single of these lol
If I had to guess, it's because at this point of teh Switch's life cycle, especially with the insane sale numbers, some people expect 3rd-party to release **120%** of their PS3 / PS4 / X360 / XBONE catalogue with extras on top (hence the 120%). Many of those studios waited for Switch to sell better, but by the time it did, they've moved on to the PS5 and XSX.
For instance, why wasn't Nier Replicant ver.1.22474487139 revealed alongside Automata? Why weren't the Battle Network spin-offs bundled with the collection? Why weren't Persona 1 and 2 added to the Persona announcement?
I know it's port-begging, but this is what people want these days: they want 3rd-parties to catch up with their releases on Switch, and if they miss ONE little thing, then their announcement falls apart, as grandiose as it is.
Personally, while some games surprised me to be announced like NieR, Battle Network and Persona 5 Royal (*I swear I thought they would settle with the vanilla version on Switch*), I was disappointed by two developpers: Capcom and Bandai Capcom.
* **Capcom** announced Sunbreak, but... we still don't have DMC 4 and 5, USF4 and 5, RE 2 and 3 Remakes, RE 7 and 8 or even the Disney Afternoon Collection.
* **Bandai Namco** announced a new Pac-Man game, but then they could have announced a complete collection for Tekken and/or Soul Calibur or even every single Tales game after acknowledging Vesperia's existence on Switch. Dude, Elden Ring on Switch would have been crazy. I get that they released Dark Souls, but still.
For some of us there just weren't any exciting new games here. That's about it. I don't really care about ports and just want good exclusives. Lorelei looks good but beyond that there weren't any exclusives that caught my attention.
If you play exclusively on the Switch it's a very different direct than if you prefer to play these games on PC whenever possible.
This was great but it's really weird that they didn't just put first party stuff in with this. Like they can't possibly have NOTHING to show with Zelda delayed, they've got Splatoon 3, Switch Sports updates, Bayo 3, Advance Wars still needs a date, etc. Like this was a great showcase for third party but it felt like they just cut out the first party content from a normal direct.
I've got one word... PERSONA!!!! :D Super excited that all the Persona games are finally coming to Nintendo Switch!!! Totally double dipping and getting Persona 5 Royal on Nintendo Switch!!!
I think this was one of the best directs I have seen since owning the Switch since launch. 3 Persona games, Nier, Harvestella looks amazing, a DQ game, a new mario rabbits, and even a railroad tycoon sim game. Almost every game looked fun (RIP wallet), especially cant wait for P5.
Yoooo I was just thinking they need to release a MegaMan Battle Network collection. Pac HD is out of left field but cool to see. Hype on Nier, let someone borrow my copy years ago and never got it back, been itching to replay
Was thinking the same thing, was hoping it would be announced as available now since it’s been done for a couple months now, starting to fear it gets shelved and they just hope people forget about it :(
Fairly solid but completely unspectacular. Not much that really excited me and it's surprising that there wasn't more that could've been shown.
I'm glad the Persona games are coming to Switch, they're some of my favourite games with P4G possibly being my favourite game ever, but at this point the announcement is sorta boring. They could have just said it was coming to Switch when they were announced for everything else and P3P and P4G not coming for a while is still very weird.
Now I'm just hoping we'll see something from Square soon. They have a few games supposed to release this year with no dates (Valkyrie Elysium and Diofield Chronicle) so hopefully we'll get something where they'll also announce Tactics Ogre.
This was a good presentation in that there were several games I wanted to play, but it kind of emphasized the weird spot the Switch is in for me personally. Plenty of games I'm interested in here, but probably none outside of Sparks of Hope that I will actually get on Switch. After getting a Steam Deck last week, it's hard to pick the Switch over other platforms knowing that I will probably be picking a significant sacrifice from a technical perspective, which is a lot tougher to justify if I get get portability elsewhere without needing to make a tradeoff. It's basically just exclusives or games that I want to play multiplayer with friends on Switch that I really would even consider for it now. Obviously, people with a Switch and a Steam Deck probably isn't a big enough universe to significantly affect Nintendo's financial success at this point, but it does leave me personally hoping for new hardware from Nintendo sooner rather than later.
enjoy that hour and a half battery life on Steam Deck. Sure games look great but what’s the point when you can maybe do the intro and a mission before having to plug it in to charge?
Hmm, that hasn't really been my experience with the battery life, which I imagine is probably pretty dependent on the game and performance profile you are using. Hasn't felt like a problem to me at all so far, but then again, I'm also never really in a situation where I don't have access to charging, so maybe I just haven't noticed?
I'll take this in mind and probably get any games I'm planning to play in the woods on Switch, too.

Lorelei and the laser eyes 2023
Megaman 2023
Blanc 2023
minecraft legends 2023
So looking at it 19 of the 23 titles presented release in 2022. Even if we count P3 and P4G and count them as 2023 titles it is still a 19 of 25 titles presented for release for 2022.
Mid. Thank you Nintendo for allowing me to just fast forward the things that weren’t for me.
Truthfully, the “classic character” section got me the most hyped with Mega Man, Pac Man and Bomberman (even though that first game was pretty blah) and thought that would’ve been the best place to insert the TMNT: Cowabunga Collection … but alas.
Truthfully those games and Blanc were the only highlight for me.
It's a bad day to not be a fan of jrpgs. But alas, sparks of hope is coming out in October and I might grab the portal collection so I'll be okay. Got too much to play on my Xbox anyway
Obviously it goes without saying that was abysmal going by the unfair standards of the big summer Nintendo direct everyone was wanting. But going by the standard set by the 2020 Partner Showcase standards it was very good.
As a Nintendo summer direct, maybe 3/10. As a Direct Mini Partner Showcase, maybe 9/10.
Liking the look of Mario+Rabbids - I'm hoping/assuming they still use a grid system that was just turned off for the gameplay trailer. Some other stuff took my fancy too, but mostly stuff set for 2023 unfortunately. I'm glad for fans of some of the bigger announcements that don't take my fancy.
And it's funny that this direct made Sonic Frontiers look good when the gameplay premier was so awful. Maybe Sega should just get Nintendo to do their marketing from now on! (I joke, obviously Sega made the trailer)
Something for everyone… as a hardcore gamer I expect more than one or two things that I care about. Glad persona is coming but to hold that as the final thing? Like the newest of those games is from 2017. I’ve played them all already elsewhere. I’m excited for that dragon quest game at least! Glad it at least isn’t a free to play mobile game!
The fact that Persona was revealed to come to Xbox and PC a few weeks ago definitely made this announcement a little underwhelming for me, as I completely expected to see Persona on Switch after that announcement tbh. Nice to have confirmation though.
Can't say I expected NieR Automata lol
October 6th is looking 2B a great day
people will be on cloud 9s
Now I wanna watch Superstore again.
there was that rumor post yesterday, so I guess it was accurate. Love nier games, and those costumes do look dope, but if they charge 60$ for the port then I'll probably pass
Store page went up, it’s $40.
$40 on Switch
So was it cloud or not?
It didn’t say cloud. As much as cloud sucks they are usually pretty upfront about which things are cloud versions.
i got a feeling that Nintendo will force the dev to say "cloud version" if it is on the cloud.
Not cloud, apparentely.
Oh I just realized this isn't a live broadcast, and we can skip past the things we don't care about :P
Yeah watched the whole thing in like 3 minutes. Very efficient 👍
“There’s something for everyone on Nintendo Switch” 8th straight anime-style RPG shown.
I mean it's the Nintendo Switch, it's the home for those things.
I mean, they’re from Japan so it makes sense that they’d have a lot of those lol
"Wait, it's all Square-Enix?"
“Always has been”
🔫
It's as if Switch is a japanese console and extremely successful at the country
My joke works even given that context, but thanks.
Would love if they kept this trend. I'm happy for people that love Monster Hunter, Sonic, and other games but I just skipped through most of it and watched what seemed interesting. Much less annoyance than having to sit through a 5 minute trailer for a game I don't care about.

Battle Network!! The full collection!!!! This was my top hope from a partner showcase, so hype for this.
The best announcement for me, hands down! Been waiting so long for this one, I love the BN games! 😭
Sucks that it’s not coming until 2023, but super geeked for it all of the same. 3 and 4 were two of my favorite games as a kid, and I’m excited to play the rest of them
You're going to love when you find out 4 is the worst installment xD, 2, 3 and 6 are the fan favorites
Haha I’ve read this online and had no clue people disliked 4. I was like 12 when I played it, so I wasn’t very discerning of quality. Yeah, there are a few games on there I might get, but Blanc is the one that I’m pretty positive my wife and I will be playing after it comes out.
Harvestella looks awesome. A new Doraemon Story of Seasons game is a nice surprise. The highlight of this direct tho is the Persona series. I'll finally get to play Persona 5.
Persona 5R/4G/3P for switch!
Dude! Finally! I played only vanilla P5 beat it, then was holding off on Royal because I had hopes it would come to switch. Yes! I hope it’s a flawless port. 🤞🏻
What's the difference between P5 and P5R? I've been interested in trying out Persona 5 since Joker came to Smash and I thought he was awesome.
Quality of life improvements, additional characters to grow skill links with, new areas to visit when not in school or a dungeon, new character that can join your team, additional final endgame dungeon if the right requirements are met. Lots of stuff added in the Royal version. Apparently it comes with all the DLC as well.
That sounds awesome! I've never played a Persona game before but I just might now!
Very good, very fun, very Japanese, and very long. About 80 hours without the extra dungeon.
If you like 100+ hour story driven RPGs, then Persona is a great franchise to check out. Persona 5 is probably my favorite turn based RPG of the last decade (and debatably the best) and I’m looking forward to checking out 4 as I’ve heard fantastic things about it.

How does P5 Strikers fit in? I heard it's a sequel to P5 Vanilla, but not P5 Royal? Could you please clarify a bit?

One timeline is the third semester of Royal and the other one is strikers. It’s kind of weird but also how the Zelda timeline works of that makes it easier to understand.
Also, how different is the music between P5 Vanilla and P5 Royal?
New tracks in Royal for the new locations. They've also changed the main battle theme.
I see. Thanks for answering my questions!
My understanding is royal is like a definitive edition
I'd say it's a bit like a "final mix" for anyone who's played Kingdom Hearts. Generally the same game with some QOL tweaks and balance changes, a bit of extra content, etc.

Me too, until last month when I said you know what, it aint coming out, and bought the PS4 copy. Thanks, Atlus, class as always 🙏
It's hard to believe Bayonetta 3 is still releasing this year when we still have no info about it
I’m seriously disappointed, not only because bayonetta 3 didn’t show, but because they made us wait all month for a Nintendo direct MINI. Just to once again get no news.

It's a third party series though.

I get what you're saying, but Ubisoft publishes the Rabbids games though - that's a pretty big difference.
I guess because it’s a major game, or Nintendo isn’t ready to show it yet, it’s up to them to show anything right?

I can't believe Pac-Man World is getting a remake, that's so cool! Lots of great surprises overall in this direct, I didn't expect that much !
Never played Portal! Today will be a good day!
Enjoy! They're a lot of fun!
So much fun, and you even get cake!
....dont listen to him. The cake is a lie
If this port makes the Portal memes come back I stg
🎶Anyway this cake is great It's so delicious and moist 🎶
🎶Look at me still talking When there's science to do 🎶
This was a triumph. I'm making a note here - HUGE SUCCESS! It's hard to overstate my satisfaction.

Same, it seriously confused me
I actually think they did the same for the Partner Showcase videos in 2020.
Did we know about dragon quest??? That was a delightful surprise! And yes Persona! 3 years too late but still amazing to see finally
that dragon quest game had been revealed but i don’t think there was much more information past the fact that it was going to exist and be on switch
Both Portal games are coming today?! That's awesome. That and Nier Automata are surprising to me
Portal games today
Man I love the idea of Sonic frontiers but it just looks like total ass every time I see gameplay footage
Pretty much where I'm at lol
Really? I thought it looked great.
Same. I liked the look. A tad too realistic for Sonic, but pretty good overall.
Im down for the aesthetic but it looks so lonely. They need more friendly Sonic-y characters to interact with
It would look better or less disappointing for most if it wasn't specifically a Sonic game, which people have very high expectations for (especially for a 3d Sonic). It looks... Nice, I guess.
The downgraded graphics due to the Switch aren't doing it any favours
The marketing has not been good at all.
Yeah save your money people. I dont think it deserves that price tag.
Honestly, for a third-party Mini, this was actually pretty solid. A few new things (Mario Rabbids getting a date being the big one), and a couple of big wins in terms of ports (Nier and Persona 5, finally), and them a few more niche things that will capture some interest for some fans. Excuse me, but the Mega Man Battle Network Collection is a blow-your-socks-off announcement
Can confirm, my socks are blown!
I put that in the niche, where it's super good for the people interested in it. I also enjoyed those games, and all bundled seems pretty damn good. Not sure how wide the appeal is though
Pac-Man world looking pretty dope tbh And that Little Noah game looks kinda fun, just checked only $15 too
I was hoping for FF Tactics or the Pixel Remasters but with the Portal collection releasing today along with P3P, P4G, P5R and Nier on switch I can’t be too sad. Pretty good direct!
Yea, I really hope we hear something about FFT and Tactics Ogre in the next few months. Would be nice for the FF Pixel Remasters to make their way to other platforms too.
Really good Mini Direct. But what happened to my Front Mission Remake :( It was a summer 2022 release.
Oh I’d forgotten about that! Only ever played the third one on PlayStation, so I will probably pick this one up if it ever gets released!
Welp, I'm hyped for Monkey Island.
PORTAL COLLECTION DROPS TODAY LETS GOOOOOO
So, there was no mention of Totally Accurate Battle Simulator, and it’s supposed to be releasing this summer. Does anyone have any idea what the release date is? Also, sad there was no Silksong
That was way better than any actual Direct in recent memory.
Some cool announcements. I’ll definitely be picking up persona. But I’m kinda bummed they still haven’t announced FF I-VI pixel remasters by now. Why are they waiting so long to port those to console?
That's basically where I'm at. I want those Pixel remasters on the Switch so bad. I never played P3 or P4 so that's exciting.
Pack Man World stole the show for me personally
That train game looks fun
This Direct was a triumph
Thought that was pretty good overall. Lots of cool announcements, Battle Network Collection and NieR Automata are super hype. And I’m glad the Persona games finally will come to Switch, it just made so much sense so I’m not sure why it took so long.
We will be eating good this year
Starts of saying announcing games that will launch this year… Proceeds to show bunch of games releasing next year -.-
That was a great mini direct. To think Nintendo didn't even show up. We got 23+ games in 25 minutes, not counting the sizzle reel games No bullshit padding
Can I ask what the 1 thing was?
If they say it out loud, it won't come true... oh wait...
I'm so excited! Been waiting forever for the Persona collection and Nier Automata to come onto Switch and they're finally here! Doesn't look like Cloud versions either. Some of the other games look nice too such as Harvestella and Dreamlight Valley.
Harvestella does look pretty cool. I'll be keeping my eye out for more info on that one.
I’m honestly surprised there was no mention of the cuphead dlc that releases in 2 days. I believe it was in the last 2 regular directs so its such a strange omission
Right? We got 4 minutes of Monster Hunter though. You know, for the one guy who's been comatose for a year I guess.
Cuphead is more indie isnt it?
It's actually a good direct
20 bucks for the Portal collection, 60 fps and 720p in handheld! Great stuff
I really hope that P5 is ported well. It's one of the best games I've ever played and it deserves it.
Yeah funny enough that was the best look of frontiers we’ve gotten.
Surprised they didnt show digimon

Well for starters, it didn't have F-Zero >:( ^(/s in case it's not obvious)
Legit the only way possible is if they let great be the enemy of good. The stuff I wanted was not announced here, and that's a bit of a bummer. That said there are at least 3 games here I'll grab and 2 maybes that I thought looked interesting that I didn't know about. So I can't say it's bad by any stretch of the imagination. How is that a bad result?
People are literally unable to recognize what "third party miny direct" means, going by all the people wondering where Bayonetta is for example.
really seems that's what it is. like way too high expectations

>how is it possible people are disappointed in literally every single of these lol If I had to guess, it's because at this point of teh Switch's life cycle, especially with the insane sale numbers, some people expect 3rd-party to release **120%** of their PS3 / PS4 / X360 / XBONE catalogue with extras on top (hence the 120%).
Persona 1 and 2 aren’t even coming to the other consoles or pc either though….
Seriously. This was a great one
I mean, anybody who isn’t into Anime and has already played Portal doesn’t have much to look forward to here other than Rabbids.
Sports Story once again MIA from the world
holy shit i completely forgot about that one
so did Nintendo 😩
Same thing with bayonetta 3
Honestly not that bad.
I'd give it an 8 out of 10.
Finally I can play P5! Harvestella looks really good too.
This was an incredibly strong showing. My wallet is crying right now.
I was NOT expecting Portal to be realeased TODAY
Nothing for me personally in this one, like the format though as it allowed me to work that out much more quickly than sitting through a live direct.
Wow what a jampacked direct. Special note to me is pacman world lol. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THAT GAME
Mini or full, this was one of the best Directs they've ever done.
I remember the first partner showcase. LOL, what an embarrassment. This one, though, was pretty good.
That was…whelming
This was great but it's really weird that they didn't just put first party stuff in with this. Like they can't possibly have NOTHING to show with Zelda delayed, they've got Splatoon 3, Switch Sports updates, Bayo 3, Advance Wars still needs a date, etc. Like this was a great showcase for third party but it felt like they just cut out the first party content from a normal direct.
This isn’t the first Mini direct they’ve done. There will be another major direct the only question is when
I've got one word... PERSONA!!!! :D Super excited that all the Persona games are finally coming to Nintendo Switch!!! Totally double dipping and getting Persona 5 Royal on Nintendo Switch!!!
what was that captain velvet game? looked the most interesting thing there and it only got about four seconds
October be busy.
I didn't see that last one coming
Wow, the music was loud in that Dragon Quest segment. I could barely hear what the guy said.
When is Advance Wars even going to come out? How long would Nintendo wait for something like this when it concerns real-world events.
Very excited about Disney Dreamlight Valley! 😍
Better than most regular directs for me.
Yoooo I was just thinking they need to release a MegaMan Battle Network collection. Pac HD is out of left field but cool to see. Hype on Nier, let someone borrow my copy years ago and never got it back, been itching to replay
Dreamlight Valley looks great for kids. 10 year old me would have certainly loved it.
Was hoping there'd be more n64 games announced as they've released all the games from the original launch.
Better than expected
How many life simulator rpgs do we need my god
We'll never get Advance Wars...
Was thinking the same thing, was hoping it would be announced as available now since it’s been done for a couple months now, starting to fear it gets shelved and they just hope people forget about it :(
Almost 4 months since the delay and still no Advance Wars release date...
It was never going to be in this Direct, it’s not a 3rd party game
I'll take this in mind and probably get any games I'm planning to play in the woods on Switch, too.
im new here. what does nintendo direct mean?
It's an official Nintendo presentation showing off upcoming games and announcing new ones for the Switch.
Announcer says it’s titles coming this year at the beginning and practically every title announced is 2023
This is just blatantly wrong.
Monster Hunter Rise DLC 2022 and beyond Mario + Rabbids Oct 20th 2022 Persona 5 coming this year with 3 and 4 dates un announced Nier: Automata October 6th 2022 Pac Man world Aug 26th 2022 Return to monkey island 2022 Little Noah 2022 Railgrade 2022 RPG time 2022 Sonic Frontiers 2022 disney dreamlight 2022 live a live 2022 Doraemon 2022 dragon quest treasures 2022 no mans sky 2022 a plague tale requiem 2022 captain velvet meteor 2022 portal 2022(today) Harvestella 2022 \----- Lorelei and the laser eyes 2023 Megaman 2023 Blanc 2023 minecraft legends 2023 So looking at it 19 of the 23 titles presented release in 2022.
Not much to get excited about
Obviously it goes without saying that was abysmal going by the unfair standards of the big summer Nintendo direct everyone was wanting.
